Still disgusting and still a lowly one star. Tried it recently out of curiosity. The kung pao chicken looked ok, but on closer scrutiny wasn't very tasty. Part of the problem with this dish is the very low grade meat they use. It's chewy and looks like all dark meat cat food parts. The noodles oily and this should be the easy part. The honey shrimp was a overbattered deep dried thing with a sickening sweet flavor. If you go in after 8 pm you are going to get the remnants of what's left, not fresh food. Big bummer that this place falls so short. They really dishonor this town by being here. I have had better Panda experiences, which isn't saying a lot. read more

Panda Express in Sonoma can easily be overlooked. The staff is very welcoming, John helped us with our order, told us of some of the new items and was super friendly. We're lucky to have wonderful people like him in our community. The restaurant is clean and organized, the restrooms were also clean. This location was very convenient on our recent visit to Sonoma. We were there around 5:30 on a Wednesday. The restaurant was pretty empty with only one table with customers. The food choices were a little limited as it seemed that many of the choices were empty. We ordered our usual...kung pao chicken, orange chicken, fire cracker chicken with half noodles and half white rice. All the entrees were good and fresh the rice was the "last amount " as we heard our server call out "white rice" and the noodles were just as panda makes them. Overall an ok meal "on the cheap and quick" with a good quality. We would definitely visit again under the same circumstances. read more

my daughter and I went in and ordered food to take home. We chose 3 main entrees. unfortunately all of it was not fresh, like left over from lunch. we went in at 4pm. as we always eat early. am very disappointed and probably will not go again. I was genuinely happy when I heard we were getting a Panda Express here in Sonoma. My overall experience with this chain has been a positive one. The handful of times I have been to this location haven't been.... The first time, the portions weren't what I was expecting. No biggie. New location, new employees, i figured they were just finding their legs. The second time, the portions were better but I ordered Teriyaki chicken... They forgot to put the teriyaki in the bag...so i had grilled chicken instead. The third time, they were out of almost everything, and I waited for over a half hour for them to have something I could eat (shellfish allergies). And the chow mein was just a few scoops of dried noodles that was left in the pot... I'm not sure why I wanted to try a fourth time but i did.. Again, lousy portions and no teriyaki.. This brand new Panda Express just opened in Sonoma on the Westside of town, and is offering the usual menu that patrons can find at any of the existing Panda Express locations. My household and I decided to try it and take advantage of the coupons we received in the mail. We had the broccoli beef, chicken chow mein, fried rice and Kung Pao dish. All of the entrees we ordered we enjoyed. The only thing we were disappointed in were the pot stickers and the spring rolls. They were less than average. Still we are happy to have some Asian style food in a town that has very little to offer with regards to various ethnic foods. This place is brand new and it no doubt will take some time for it to get settled. We will go back again as it is a good spot to grab some delicious and perhaps more nutritious "fast food" once in a while, that's much better than McDonald's and we found more economical too. I love to cook but after putting up Christmas decorations all day I wanted Chinese and I ordered from Panda Express on Door Dash- Kung Papa Chicken and Beef Broccoli. I was not expecting anything great ; just close to ok. Well, to my surprise it was one of the best meals of stir fry favorites that I enjoyed in years. Well seasoned, not over cooked just the right amount of chiles in the Kung Pao and the broccoli was Al dente and beef was cut small and seared well. A delicious meal. I will try again to see if this wasn't a fluke. I also appreciate the entrees can be ordered small, medium or large to suit your appetite. Thank you ! read more

Don't bother ordering online as it won't be right and when you call they don't give a crap. They give you the " there's nothing I can do my manager comes back tomorrow". So helpful. They use DoorDash as delivery and charge ridiculous amounts as well. Better places to order food from that actually appreciate your business. read more

Can I give negative stars? Very poor customer service (not a big deal in the end since the order ended up being a joke). My gripe is the portions. They have miniaturized the takeout boxes. I was very disappointed with my dinner from Panda. I am extremely happy a Panda has come to our town. I love Panda and expect the chain to require that their stores should have common quantities. My experience and my five star Panda is in Petaluma. Tonight my chow mein was tough and had no character just noodles and the balance to my Orange Chicken (which was very good), was terrible. I've been to this spot twice recently and both times received very fresh food, good portions, and friendly service. Remarkably clean store, too. Worst customer service ever. I placed an online order which a lot of us do these days because of COVID. The order was not ready on time - not a big deal, things happen. Once I picked up my order, I left and went back home only to find out only half of the order was there. I called to let them know what had happened, then returned to pick up my full and complete order which they gave me with zero compensation for the mishap that they caused. After speaking to the manager named Ruby I was told we can fix your order but there would be no compensation for our wrongdoing. Very disappointing read more

The lady who's " in charge " is terribly rude. I don't know what the other employees do because she runs around and tries do do everything. She yells at you. Even though you can't hardly understand what she's saying. I like the food, but most of the time when I come there they're always out of stuff and tell us we're going to have to wait for it to be ready. It's very hard to order too. Since then each visit has been mostly a disappointment: the kitchen struggle to keep fresh dishes in stock, and the front staff don't seem to understand the basic rule of "fast" in fast food. I've been to this place so many times and most of the time i've had the same cashier named Daniela S & she has always been rude and gives horrible customer service. She always gives attitude for no reason. Of course , I understand customer service is not always easy due to some customers being rude but the times i've been there i have never disrespected her in any way. I work for customer service as well so I know how it is and yes I have my bad days but i am not rude to MY customers because i try to provide the best customer service to them. Last time my co workers and I went she rung us up and it was the same attitude like she didn't want to be there and was very rude to us. Other than that the other cashiers that have helped me two other times were nice and welcoming. The food is good tho. read more
