Post eating big d's burger, I have never tried habit burger and it got suggested by Cody. I got sweet potato fries (objectively better than regular degular potato fries) and five chicken bites. The fries were definitely undercooked as there was no chrisp at all, only flop. I paired them with avocado ranch which I though would be interesting, but there was only a suggestion of the flavor of it might contain. Same as with the spicy ranch I had to go surfing for any spice at all. They were lwk just fancily colored ranch. I digress, the chicken bites (nuggets) fell into my least favorite trap for fried chicken, over battering. They were crispy in a bad way, I had to bite through much too thick breading, and not to mention the chicken was over cooked. read more

I love Habit Burger joints, and this one is just fantastic! Nice end-spot in a mini-mall, big space with lots of booths. Very easy ordering via screens as you enter. The counter staff is down-home friendly here (which I love!) and the food is just as fantastic as all Habit Grills! I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Napa! read more

We come once a week with a large group at around 9pm, right before they close. The entire team are always so happy, friendly, welcoming and helpful. EVE is especially wonderful!! Please pass this on to the restaurant, I'm no longer going to order from them because Uber chose to have the driver not complete my delivery, which was 3 more minutes to my house, when instead he pulled in to pick up a Starbucks order, and went back across the freeway to deliver that coffee, delaying my order delivery by 15 minutes so it's cold... and the driver said Uber made him do that. Nice place when I take my son there, but you should look for a new delivery service so you don't lose more customers. read more

Service at this location has gotten better for the last six months. Staff are polite, efficient, and get orders right the first time. It was a mess in years past following the corporate change. Online marketing is still weak, like sending out the Tuesday promotion for any day of the week and then abandoning it. The staff here at habit napa Trancas, are constantly overworked and it shows. Always packed with grub hub, door dash. Habit used to be great, then went downhill ever since yum! brand corporate bought them out in 2020. Same folks who own Taco Bell, so that ought to be a clue where I'm going. Prices went WAY UP, quality and food portions WAY down. The meat is super processed not even flavorful, and either served cold, undercooked. Or if you're lucky they'll give out some cold stale fries. Staff is cool about remaking it but idk how many times I've had to wait forever for a remake or two. And they charge $35-40 for junk. They provide a pretty average burger for the price point but it's satisfying and fairly tasty. Better than most fast food burgers and more affordable than your average diner or restaurant burger. The appeal of this place is that it seems like they actually care about providing a consistent standard of food quality and the inside of the establishment has more of a diner feel than a fast food joint. Omg!!! I had a freaking cockroach on my tempura green beans! I didn't notice until it touched my hand! Then I grabbed a paper towel and squished the little bugger! I ordered through DoorDash and they won't help me! Here are the pics and Doordashes response to my complaint, I am flabbergasted!!! I'm so disgusted! I can't eat my food anymore. Disappointed at this location. 1. we ordered to-go Chicken Caprese Sandwiches with sweet potato fries and drinks 2. The sandwich was cut into 2 pieces and had a toothpick poked supposedly over it to hold the bread and chicken but it was poked inside and didn't know it, hurt my upper mouth good thing wasnt that hard enough though that hurts bad.. So what i did was open the other half of the bread and showed the toothpick was indeed inside a bread instead of outside.. how can one do this, it is a common practice in the kitchen and whoever staff did this can be responsible if a kid or an old person orders this meal and doesn't notice the toothpick. The food is here is like no other the burgers here are delicious I recommend the Santa Barbara Char it's something about the avocado on top of the two freshly chargrilled patties with caramelized onions, American cheese , and with lettuce and pickles to top it all off it's also on a grilled sourdough bread once you take a bite you will know what I'm talking about it's like the scene from ratatouille where Remy and Emile eat the fruits and cheese and they are just savoring the juiciness. Ordered the original charburger & tempura green beans. Both were delicious but the tempura green beans are my new favorite! They're crispy, crunchy & taste delicious with ranch. I ordered to go so I didn't notice when I got home that the container of ranch they gave me was just a small squeeze of ranch, just about a quarter full, had I known I would've asked for extra ranch. This was my first time at this location, and my first time having The Habit in a couple of years. Man, I forgot how amazing these burgers are! First off, this location seems to be a bit bigger than other locations I've been to. So even though it was the lunch rush, we were quickly able to find a table. On to the food! I ordered the Double Charburger and it was amazing! The meat was so tender, juicy, and tasty! The onions already come grilled, which i totally love. And the sauce! Whatever is in there sauce is magical! Lol. And the lettuce and tomato always seem to be perfect as well. Also, the service was good and the burger didn't seem to take too long, even though this was during the lunch rush. Long story short, I will be back. The salads were dry so I asked for another container of salad dressing and I was told there would be a charge. My goodness.. i came into this "fine" establishment with a hispanic girl named Bianca screaming at who the cashier said was the "manager" and she was not friendly made no wye contact and was super unprofessional... then Garrett who is the "manager" was super not responsive.. slow.. and not friendly. I had requested a neapolitan shake and they said they could not do it... i was like.. well they've done it at all of the other locations ive been to. Really good food, and good flavor. Never disappointed eating here. The place is really clean as well and the staff are friendly. Food tastes fresh and it's cook very well. For the first time I tried their "Super food" salad and it was delicious. A big portion as well. I wished it had a little more quinoa but other than that it was very good. What did I expect? :( I ordered a mushroom burger with fries and a drink. I also asked for avocado. I got a tiny scoop for an additional $1.25. Not worth the cost. I couldn't taste it on my burger. The burger was a small frozen patty cooked to order. This was truly a fast food experience wrapped in a gourmet burger joint decor. Mistake! I thought this place was something that it wasn't. My bun fell apart after my 2nd bite which lead to eating the rest of it with a fork. If there is one thing I do not like is cheap buns. Ugg! The fries were good and the drink was a drink. The line was long, but moved quickly. The inside of the place was clean. They had two restrooms which were fairly clean. My order cost $10.48. Barney's or Artisan Burger would have done this price more justice. Now that I know what they're about I do not feel the need to return. read more
