The restaurant is extremely dark inside, although the traditional decor is pretty cool and gives the place some character. Prices were fair, but the service was slow, and our server repeatedly forgot things we asked for throughout the meal. To make matters worse, their credit card machines were down during our visit. The biggest issue was the food. Most of it was extremely greasy. The green onion pancakes were basically grease sponges with almost no flavor. The fried rice wasn't really fried rice at all. It tasted like plain white rice with a few vegetables mixed in and lacked any of the flavor or texture you'd expect. The Szechuan chicken was also disappointing and wasn't something we'd order again. There were a couple of bright spots. The orange chicken was flavorful, and the scallops were cooked well and were probably the best dish we had. Overall, while the prices were reasonable and there were a few good dishes, the overly greasy food, inconsistent quality, forgetful service, and payment issues left us underwhelmed. I wanted to like this place, but based on our experience, I don't see us coming back. Two stars because there were a few positives, but they weren't enough to outweigh the negatives.

The staff were all extremely friendly and conscientious of our needs. They made good recommendations and let us know they could accommodate for certain things on the menu such as the spice level. Everything from the tea to the main course was delightful! I highly recommend the flat bread and lemon chicken dish, they were superb! Definitely can't wait to come back and try something else.

I ordered iced tea and vegetable spring rolls to begin, and decided on Happy Family with chicken and shrimp for my entree. I like to wash my hands before eating and the restroom was scrupulously clean, which always makes a good impression. I was there at 4 pm so there were not a lot of people in the dining room yet and i could tell they were running a booming business in takeout calls. The starter came quickly with my drink, followed soon by my Happy Family meal, steaming hot! It is rare to get a restaurant meal hot these days and it was so appreciated. The spring rolls were delicious and the entree was perfect. The vegetables were crisp tender and fresh. The shrimp and chicken were cooked perfectly and all were served over a plentiful bowl of white rice in a large bowl in a light gravy. (Brown rice is also available if you desire). I had a doctor's appointment earlier so had not eaten that day and i devoured this meal. SO GOOD! There was enough that i could have taken some home but the food was so good i just kept eating. While i am not a drinker, QQ Kitchen does offer alcoholic beverages. Two workers came in, sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks with their meals. One of the men said to me, "Isn't this place great? Best food in Toledo!" I had to agree. The servers kept my iced tea filled and even gave me one to go. The bill was reasonable. This restaurant is highly recommended. Well trained, friendly servers, the owner was there cooking among his cooks, and it was a peaceful, yummy experience. There are also Thai and Korean menu choices here. Many vegetarian options are available, as well as "choose your protein" options. Plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall off Secor, wheelchair accessible, children and families welcome.

Tonight was our lucky night as we were seated within minutes of our arrival. QQ Kitchen is very unassuming upon entry. Small sitting area that was filled with people waiting for their take-out orders. The dining area is small and decor is simple. There is one TV monitor and tonight, "Triple D" (Diners, Drive-Ins, Dives) was on. How appropriate, huh? Menu has a lot to offer making it challenging to arrive at a snap decision. Many great choices. We started off with Spring Rolls. Very refreshing taste and the peanut dipping sauce was quite tasty. Our dinner selections: Drunken Noodles; and Pad Thai w Shrimp. Both these dishes were excellent and very fairly priced for the food quality and portion size. A great deal of foot traffic for take-out orders during the entire time we were in the restaurant. Good sign. We had a fantastic meal and we will definitely be back yo visit QQ Kitchen. Well done!

As a self-acclaimed special order person, I recognize that I may be annoying to a busy carryout business... but I've finally cracked the code here! The last two orders, I've kept it simple. Today for dinner, ordered for two people. By the way, they only take phone orders and no longer online. I ordered a large Won Ton Soup; a Vegetable Egg Foo Young with sauce on the side- and was told they always put it on the side (yay!). For myself, I ordered the steamed Chicken and Broccoli with a side of garlic sauce. Nothing too complicated. I was told the total cost would be $27.99 (from memory) - which is a great value these days and considering the generous portions of delicious food! (Sorry, getting ahead of myself!) The ambiance is very basic, as you would expect from a strictly carryout business. However, everything looked clean. Most importantly, their inspection score was 100/100 and that perfect score reassured me that everything in the kitchen was health compliant. The customer service is always consistently friendly. The order was ready on time and everything was nicely packaged in containers that ensured minimal leakage, if any. The orders both came with lots of rice and generous containers of sauces- more than we needed. My mom highly approved of her Vegetable Egg Foo Young and the sauce. She said it wasn't greasy, although fried. It came with 3 huge patties! The Won Ton Soup is always a winner in her book, although it went in the fridge for tomorrow. My Steamed Chicken with Broccoli was perfect. Chicken was burried underneath lots of fresh, green broccoli and the Garlic Sauce was the perfect balance of spicy and garlic; again, far more sauce than I needed. I would estimate that this meal portion will provide three or more meals. Check out the photos below. Highly recommend this spot for high quality and delicious Chinese carryout!

It's great and it's open on Sundays." Of course, I couldn't find it anywhere online. Was she talking about QQ? Or the place that opened up where Darla's Thai Pan used to be? Well, both of these places are closed on Sunday, so we kept driving, and wow, yes, there really is a restaurant, just called "Asian Cuisine" in this strip mall. It's actually quite large; apparently it used to be the location of China Crown Buffet at some point. Anyhow, the ambiance is kind of flat. Lots of green vinyl booths. You can tell it used to be a buffet restaurant. But that is pretty much the only negative. When we came, there were several families and large parties, most of whom were Chinese. A good sign for a Chinese restaurant. The menu is pretty big, with lots of Thai and Chinese favorites. We ordered a steamed tofu dish, a seafood entrée, and a whole roast duck. Where can you get a whole roast duck these days without ordering a day ahead? Here apparently! And it is delicious, as was all of our food. Prices were quite reasonable (something like $22-24 for the duck, $9 for the steamed tofu with your choice of sauce, and about the same for the seafood stir fry dish). The hot-and-sour soup was immensely flavorful, smoky in a way, and only $1.99 for a small. Service was the friendliest I've ever had at a Chinese restaurant. Friendly waitress, prompt drink refills. If this were SF or NYC, I'd say 4-stars, but for Toledo, this place is an absolute gem. This will be my go-to source for Chinese from now on. I can't wait to try the Thai, as if it is as good as the Chinese, it will save me the drive to Maumee (for Bangkok Kitchen).

Their menu is extensive, they even have Thai dishes. If you like traditionally prepared Chinese dishes ask for the "secret" menu that has all those on it. Not sure why they don't provide it outright. Dim Sum is to die for, the best we have had in Toledo! On weekends they have the traditional cart service, otherwise you can order individually off the dim sum menu. I'm very surprised that this restaurant is not packed ever night, but I can only assume that word of mouth has not gotten out yet. So don't be alarmed if there are only a few tables of guests eating.
