It was ready on time, but the second scoop/portion of the chicken was lacking. I wish there was a self-pickup shelf or something, or if there is a next time I will see if there is an option to pickup at the drive-thru instead. Can't speak for the drive thru that most negative reviews are complaining about, but dine in experience was excellent. Staff was friendly, seemed like they were very happy in the back, laughing and hollering, it's nice to see a happy work environment. They skimped a bit on the portions but honestly you're not really supposed to eat so much fast food, esp Chinese food, we didnt even finish it all so it was plenty, and all very fresh! A few of my personal favorites are orange chicken, sweet fire chicken and Beijing beef. The sides I usually pick or chow me in and fried rice. As soon as you get close to the speaker the damn girl is expecting you to know what you want and gets really pushy. After looking over the menu I place my order. We ordered two bowls. My son was looking forward to some orange chicken, but instead we were told they didn't have enough orange chicken to complete our order, we ran into this problem with the Beijing beef as well. This isn't the first time this has happened, but they usually send us up front to wait, but that wasn't an option this time. If zero-star was allowed I would give it. I have been coming here a few times as it's convenient from my house, but I would not recommend it. If you could make the trip to Panda Express in Davis along Highway 113, that is a lot better location. Here are my comparisons just between the two places: - Woodland location the portion is ridiculous, for the bowl, the food was barely touched the lid, side was small and main portion was not worth the price. Don't ever order steam rice because it was very dry and the rice portion they gave in my bowl was 80%, I had steam rice with broccoli beef and there were 3 pieces of beef total. I am Asian and can eat rice everyday, but this is more like pre-1980 Asian portions. When we ate just to get filled, then two hours later looked forward to the next meal full of rice. - There is drive-thru at Woodland, but I have to say the drive path is small and constrained. - In general every time I came, servers were always being cheap about the order. Rice is cheap so let's put in a ton, chicken or beef are more expensive so just making sure it seems like meat fills the top surface. Davis location servers seem to know most customers are hungry college students so they always give generously. - I really like Davis location Orange Chicken: smaller pieces and has the little crunchy texture due to the coating. I'm finally leaving the area officially after many many years. I hope to come back, but definitely not looking to dine at Woodland Panda Express location! read more
