I never leave 1 star reviews, and I especially don't make the time for fast food. But the owners of this franchise need to know how terrible this location is. We don't have a lot of options up here in the high desert, with that being said I've been to this location so many times and I'd say 3 out of 4 times there is an issue. Today we ordered two orders of teriyaki chicken, received the order and asked for a side of teriyaki, just to be told they didn't have any. So my question is how are you serving me TERIYAKI chicken without teriyaki. They said they didn't even have any to put in a container because they only have packets. So one, either they served us chicken with no teriyaki or two they were lying that they couldn't put it on the side. I asked for refund and returned the food but won't be back. The management here is horrible (I actually own a restaurant and I'd be out of business if my management was like this). So hopefully the franchise starts to take note of how many one star reviews there are for this location (mostly for lack of service). read more

This has to be the nicest Panda Express I've ever been too. It's insanely clean, super modern, and even has a drive thru. The food also seemed fresh and wasn't super dried out like other places. If I ever go back to Joshua tree, I'll stop here for sure. read more

I have always loved Panda Express . But the last three times I have been to the Yucca Valley location I have noticed things changing . I order the same thing Everytime I go so all the previous years gave been the same . The teriyaki chicken is my favorite . But the last three times they don't put any sauce on it . The second time it was lacking the sauce as well . Hmmmm . This last time I asked them to make sure I got sauce and the girl hands me one tiny thing of so called sauce for a double order of the chicken . Pour it over it and I swear it was brown water . This Panda Express was very convenient with the drive through. The whole order process was fairly quick, the food was good, BUT the portions were SMALL. For people with the bad reviews, what are you comparing Panda Express to? It is a Chinese fast food restaurant. They will make your food fresh if you aren't happy with the food available. They have many different options. Low sodium options (brown rice, honey walnut shrimp, sweet fire chicken). This particular restaurant in Yucca is very clean and customer service is great. I have also had experience with the catering of Panda Express where they took care of 350 plus people. Panda Express is great, especially for fast food. read more

Went inside to order at 8:30 and they don't close till 10:30 asked for an item they had little of and told me they can't make more then asked for a strawberry tea the girl asked for one on the headset and I hear the manager around the corner saying nope nope and then the server tells me the tea bar is closed and it's 8:30. Nice customer service lady. If I could give zero stars I would plus they had hardly any items to chose from apparently there not wanting to make more even tho there were 5 other people behind me. Such a Phenomenal crew! This panda express is a wonderfully clean establishment with a cute tea bar and delicious boba drinks. The food is always extremely fresh and I am consistently impressed at the chef's attention to detail. I actually had some of the best eggplant tofu here! perfectly textured Chinese eggplant with a hint of heat. The attendants take their time with older clients common in yucca, providing free samples of walnut shrimp and fried pork. I do not judge that Panda is a franchise. These guys are customer service professionals providing fast, fresh, super tasty Asian take-out and where I've been disappointed with other such establishments in the hi-desert. Shout out to Eddie! He always has a great smile even though I only see him late at night in the drive-thru. I do think I get more food when we go inside, which makes sense and seems fair. Bad policy they let everybody go through the drive-through and pay and then park in the parking lot and then keep you waiting for 10 to 15 minutes. If you knew that I was 506 cars waiting in front of you you wouldn't go to the drive-through this is a very bad customer service I've been waiting for 12 minutes for a container of broccoli do not go to this panda express this policy happens every day they let everyone go right through the drive-through so you see no cars in the drive-through but what you don't realize is because waiting in the parking lot all the cost from the drive-through waiting on the food read more

This place is staffed by absolute mouth-breathing knuckledraggers. It's the same Panda taste, but expect twice the wait and your order to be wrong half the time. Just this week, my girlfriend ordered a drink. Just a drink. She didn't really pay attention and paid way more than you would have expected, and realized too late the lady at the window charged her for someone else's meal. Then, they refused to give a refund. The only reason was because that woman was about to leave, so she just... did. Eventually she got the refund, but it was split between cash and a $10 gift card. Then, just now, we order two simple bowls. Waited probably 15 minutes to get 3 bowls, only one of which we actually ordered. Then we had to sit around another 5 or so for them to finally bring out the right food. They seriously need to get their act together. Still, tasty food though. Unless you are willing to wait a mortal age and fight tooth and nail with frumpy teenagers, don't come here. read more

Noodles and rice are sub par but everything else is top notch. Our 75% sweet green teas were 0% sweet twice in this visit but I think the machine just might be out of sweet and they don't know it. Would have told them but left before tasting the second set of teas. This particular Panda Express is absolutely CLUTCH. It's the only PE I've seen with a drive through, which by itself makes this location a cut above the rest. However, this location also knocks it out of the park with its service. I swear to god that in the time between placing our order and pulling up to the window, the order was already done and ready for us. All five orders were 100% correct and the food itself was some of the best Panda Express I've ever had in my life. PSA for all other PE locations: this place should be your model. My kids absolutely love Panda Express, but my 10 year old insisted that I write this review since this was the worse Panda Express food she has ever tasted (and she's eaten quite a bit). We were here back in April when we visited Joshua Tree and every few days she asked me whether I wrote a review yet. So here I am writing a review two months later. First off, my kids always get their usual: noodles with 2 sides of orange chicken. We also ordered green beans with chicken and kung pao chicken with rice. My husband opted for food at another restaurant so two orders is normally enough for my 2 kids and me. However, this restaurant does not serve the normal portion sizes. We didn't know until we got back to the hotel since the restaurant only does drive-thru orders. We can't see how much they scoop for us. When we opened our to-go boxes, we found out that the serving sizes were half of the normal amount of food we get. Needless to say, the kids were still very hungry so they also ate my portion. Worse yet was that the orange chicken didn't taste like orange chicken because of the lack of sauce. The pieces were so dry. The kung pao chicken barely had any chicken in it. Overall, this place just doesn't taste like a Panda Express. I feel like corporate office should come and check this place out. It gives Panda Express a bad reputation. read more

We always enjoy Panda Express, and this is one of the more reliable restaurants in the Yucca Valley area. Food quality and service is generally quite good. There is one manager who is a big of a grumpus, but most of the staff is super-friendly and generous with the portions. Generous portions bring us back, for sure. Bigger than most PE's, and they often have a ballgame or something interesting to watch while we're there. Thumbs up!! read more

The menu here is limited because of the coronavirus situation. So be prepared to have any access to a handful of items on their menu. The service is still pretty fast however they do forget to give you some items and condiments so please remember to ask them when you get to the window because it's your responsibility according to them. read more

I love panda. Absolutely love it. But the service in yucca valley.... absolutely terrible!! I go multiple times a week and more times than not my order is missing something. But management needs to understand that a balance is needed between the drivethru and the serving line. WAY too long of a wait inside while all the workers dealt with the cars. 50% of the time you have wait for them to make a standard menu item or they don't have a standard menu item ...for example : fried rice, egg rolls or greens. This happens whether they are short staffed or fully staffed, and it's been happening at this location for at least 5 years. Whatever the issue is it's not being resolved. If you're going to offer these menu items (especially rice) they should always be available. Short staffed or not you make adjustments. Nobody should need to wait 15 minutes to get Standard menu items... it's absolutely ridiculous. If I'm going to wait 15 minutes for that I might as well go somewhere to sit down and eat. The pros about this place: DOPE Milk and Thai TEA WITH BOBA. The cons about this place: Green tea taste like trash. It used to be good when they first opened, but now, trash. Just trash. And I do not like saying food is trash, but this is trash. Food is mediocre at best here. Probably would go here once every couple months for food. For the drinks, about 5 times a month at least.
