This is a good place to grab cheap grubs. They give you containers overflowing with meat / protein of choice + rice or noodles. Even if you get it with a 3 entree combo, it's less than $17. Ridiculously inexpensive! The service is curt but efficient. I enjoyed the chicken and shrimp combo. I didn't care for the fried rice so didn't eat much of it. The store is clean and well lit inside. Lots of seats available inside to eat your food right away. Parking is also free right outside the store. Chinese food always makes me so happy and I get excited when I eat here! I recommend trying both noodles. Every entre I've had has been delicious. BBQ pork, broccoli beef, pepper chicken, and wings are all yummy. They always pack it until it barely closes. There's a claw machine inside if you like to play too! THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME WE GO HERE!! We went tonight and the same thing happened as the last couple times, but even worse. We asked for a 2 entree plate as there was not a huge amount of food on hand. They filled the rice/chow mein into the sides compartments. As to give less entrees. Then with us ordering "double orange chicken" we got maybe 8 little pieces of chicken. There was still some chicken left in the pan. So it wasnt because they ran out. Its pure greed. It's clear they plan to do the exact same thing to the next paying customer. Charging full price for less than half of the amount we should get. My wife is usually very friendly with the staff, tonight she couldn't hide the irritation. The woman serving saw this, as her attitude and mannerisms changed...yet she clearly could care less. We aren't one to throw a fit and say nevermind keep your food. So we paid and left. But I ordered fried rice it did not taste like fried rice it look like white rice with little seasoning. Since thi s place opened a few months ago, I have to admit that the family has been here a good half dozen times. Thankfully, much of that can be blamed on COVID making take-out preferable over eating out, but there's still that guilty shame of craving cheap Chinese Food more often then should be eaten by a healthy human being. Anyway, conveniently close, quick to order and serve, very easy on the pocket book, and combos that come overstuffed with mounds and mounds of greasy, sugary, and salt laden food. With having sampled pretty much everything they have across the entire steam tray line (getting 2-3 item combos and something different every time helps), I can say truthfully that I have never eaten anything here that disappointed. Selections include a basic Fried Rice, Glass Noodles, or Chow Mein to start. And entrees include regular favorites like Orange Chicken, Beef w/Broccoli, Coconut Shrimp (a personal favorite), and Chicken w/Mushrooms, while moving to more exotic fare like Spicy Fish, Black Pepper Chicken (another favorite), Salt and Pepper Shrimp, and Mongolian BBQ Pork. The Egg Rolls here aren't that good, but my wife prefers the Cream Cheese Wontons anyway. And all of it is served in a very clean restaurant (no patrons yet, again due to the pandemic) and very nice servers who tend to stuff plates so full that the lids will barely shut. Thank you Panda Wok for bringing a much needed alternative Point Point to San Marcos. The food is average which is to be expected from a Chinese takeaway like this. Massive portions that prevent the lid from closing properly causing some spillage, but that is a good thing. The food trays in the line all appeared to be fresh and not stagnant with that dried layer look. Chicken wings a standout, fat and juicy. Teriyaki Chicken made from grilled thigh meat, pretty good. The BBQ Pork was dry. The Coconut Shrimp had decent size and taste. Cream Cheese Wontons full of filling and on the larger size. Lots of options to pick from to satisfy everyone's wants and more. Staff was very kind and patient. Location is in a strip mall with more than adequate parking so that should never be of an issue. read more

We first tried Panda Wok off of Civic Center in North County back in 2017 when we first moved to So Cal from Nor Cal. This has been our favorite Chinese take-out since. My wife and I usually go to their vista location off of Civic Center but since our move out of North County, the San Marcos location was much more convenient for us. We didn't know what to expect from this location, but we had a very pleasant experience on our weekday night visit. The workers were very kind and sweet. The place was very clean and no long lines. This place stands out with its value. The quality is excellent for the price, however I've only tried the Orange Chicken and Chow Mein. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed my food since it isn't 100% fresh and is sitting under a heated element for a period of time. I'd classify the Orange Chicken and Chow Mein to be their signature options. At first glance, the other menu items didn't seem very enticing quality wise. I'm sure there are a couple of other selections which would be delicious and may lead to a taste test, but I think that the quality simply isn't consistent across the board. Quality aside, the portions are indeed sizable. You'll get a lot of food for what you're paying. The vibe is extremely casual and fast food styled, don't expect an out of this world experience. We tried here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We had a coupon, what can I say?? We did compare their prices and taste with Panda Express. Who wouldn't, right?? Isn't Panda Express the epitome of quick Chinese takeout??? Ok, back to the review. The staff is friendly and all CDC measures seemed to be in order. We ordered the chow mein/fried rice with black pepper chicken, beef with green beans, broccoli beef and Mongolian beef. Mongolian beef was not part of the me I item for Theo "combo means." (It is extra.). That was fine with me because Panda Express does not have this item and since we like it, we ordered it separately. All in all, the taste seemed pretty similar (although my husband admitted he liked Panda Express more). I think it's because Panda Express is slightly more "sweet." In the end, my review is going to center around the Mongolian beef dish. Upon opening this dish, you saw nothing but ONIONS, LOTS AND LOTS OF ONIONS! You only see some beef strips when you really dig underneath. There was very little meat and too many onions. The dish WAS tasty but the ratio of meat to onions definitely detracted from the taste and left us with some "onion taste" (not "BAD TASTE") in our mouths. See the picture. I hope the establishment sees this review and takes note to change the ratio, or at least add more meat and a lot fewer onions! read more

This is now a pan pan wok there are a few other locations , I always visited the Vista one, but thought I would try this one out since it's closer to home, the food seems to be as good, and the portions are kind of the same it really depends on who's helping you, one thing is different from the Vista one is do not get the 3 item combo, the third item is just crazy small , my third item was coconut shrimp and I got three shrimp, It's actually pretty funny seeing as they absolutely fill your dish with the other items,lol, the Vista location uses different containers, I will probably come back if I'm in a rush if not I will just drive Ten more mins Vista read more
