Been going to Panda inn for years. Me and my wife really enjoy the remodeled restaurant. The food is excellent and the drinks are very good. The service at the bar excellent. Staff has always been attentive to us, as we often eat and have drinks at the bar. We always enjoy talking to the bartenders while they tirelessly serve the customers in the entire restaurant. One of the bartenders we enjoy is Ben. No matter how busy he is always very attentive, along with the other two female bartenders. Ben always has a smile on his face while he works. I highly recommend sitting at the bar if the wait for a table is long. read more

First of all the restaurant was simply beautiful. Even the wall of the bar looked like a piece of art. Food was family style and you could share with your party. Our waiter came by multiple times and asked us if we needed anything else. Really great experience and I can't wait to bring folks here for a special occasion. We were so excited to stop by since we hadn't been here since the renovation (we did go the other locations in the meantime). Anyway, the restaurant looks amazing, we love the new decor, it's beautiful inside. Now the food, what I can I say, they didn't miss a beat. Everything was just a delicious as I remember. I love that there's new items on the menu, we had to try a few. We tried the yellowtail Serrano and peppercorn tiradito, yum. Seared A 5 wagyu tataki and we also had the albacore crispy onion. Of course we also had our usual, spicy kung pao chicken, beef fried rice, potstickers, lettuce cups, vegetable egg rolls, orange chicken and low mein. If you want to wait forever, leave unsatisfied, and never get to eat the dish you ordered, this place is perfect for you! Showed up 5 minutes before our Saturday dinner reservation. Got seated after 15-20 minutes wait. Fine you are busy we get it. Took another 10-15 minutes for our waiter to take our order. He apologized a few times and again I understood it was a busy night. Ordered string beans, orange chicken, pork belly and walnut shrimp. Rice was on the house but super small portion. Everything except string beans came within 20 minutes of ordering, so we were pretty happy about it and the food actually tasted good. But it was getting heavy, so I stopped eating and wanted to wait for the string beans to come. Another 20 minutes went by, the beans never came and my husband finished his rice long ago. Our server is nowhere to be found. I tried to flag other server, he either didn't hear me or straight up ignored me. Finally our server showed up, he brought desserts and take out boxes for table next to us and nicely packaged all their leftover which is nice but also I know now why everything is taking so long. We flagged him down again and turned out he never even wrote the string beans down so it never got sent. At this point all my rice and dishes are cold and we lost the appetite. Asked for check. No discounts, no drinks on the house not even a $8 tea charge. This place blew my mind. They tried so hard to be this upscale fancy dining establishment, but can't even handle the most basic operations (like getting my order right and bringing out what I ordered). The table, floor and seating are also filthy - I had to ask the hostess to wipe down the food got stuck on side of table from previous diner. This whole place is a joke. The ambiance and decor is very nice. They were shut down for a while to remodel and they did a very good job. The service is top notch too. Our waitress was on top of it. Things did take a while to come but she always bring it. I'm not a fan of the food but this place has a lot of memories for my family so they always want to go there to reminisce about old times. The flavoring is not great and their food does not taste authentic. I had to add a lot of chilli sauce to my food to make it taste better. I didn't like any of dishes we got. My kids were surprised to learn it's part of the Panda Express family, and they loved the "fancy" feel. We didn't have a reservation but were seated quickly. ​The service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive, providing refills without us needing to ask. He even shared the history of the restaurant and the family who started it, which was a great detail. We ordered sweet and sour soup, a spicy tuna roll, special fried rice, chicken chow fun, and the delicious walnut shrimp. ​For dessert, we got delightful chocolate-dipped fortune cookies. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and is suitable for any dress code. Free parking is available in the structure behind the building, making it very convenient. Finally got a chance to stop by the newly renovated panda inn, parking was easy in an indoor covered structure behind the restaurant. The interior and exterior of the restaurant looked very nice and grand. Food was elevated westernized Chinese food with a couple classic such as orange chicken and some new ones like tea smoked duck and Phoenix chicken. They also have sushi on the menu which was super fresh and came out in amazing presentation. Service was also great, shout out to our server Ronnie who took good care of our large group! Oh Panda, I'm writing this review because this is the second time this has happened to me and I'm quite disappointed. Upon making a reservation, I always book a private room since I usually have a large party and I appreciate the intimate space. I know that when I call to book a private room, I am told that I need to spend a certain amount of money... which is fine and I accept the terms and conditions. My guests and myself are foodies and we love trying different dishes. But every-time I check in with my group of 6-8 people, I am redirected to the general seating area. Why! I already made the reservation and you told me already how much I need to spend! I reminded the hostess that I made a reservation in the private room and then again they told me that I needed to spend a certain amount. Which I already agreed to when I called and made the reservation. This is extremely frustrating.... it made us feel like we were being discriminated against! And of course we always spend way more than the required amount $$$$$, Do better Panda. read more

We stopped by the newly reopened Panda Inn. It has been renovated and is beautifully elegant. It was a Saturday night and we did not have a reservation so we had to wait 1 hour. It was packed and had a great energy vibe. While we waited, we sat at the beautiful bar and had drinks. Service was excellent at the bar and at table when we were finally seated. Our waitress, Joanna, was very kind and patient. The food was excellent. We ordered: Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kon Pao Chicken, Lo-Mei Noodles with chicken. The servings were huge. And there's a cute robot that carries the food plates around. My husband was excited to find his favorite beer, the Tsing Tao. We will definitely be back when craving Chinese food but next time will try to get a reservation to avoid the long, but worthwhile wait. read more

Aesthetically beautiful, everything else was below average. It seems that the only thing that does not need improvement is the actual look/renovation of the restaurant. I have visited the Glendale and Ontario locations and have been more satisfied there than at this new location. The food, service, portion options, etc all excell at the other locations. Staff is fine but nothing less than I'd expect from any other establishment like it. We waited 20 minutes after arriving for our reservation, which is not ideal but fine. Our waitress forgot a drink and locked us out in the patio 3 times. The food while mostly tasty, came out with different ingredients to the same dish at other locations. The fried rice was extremely salty.... Fried rice is one of the stables and they couldn't get it right which is concerning. Food very similar if not worse than panda express. I ordered a lychee drink and was given a sad version of the one I've had at their other locations. Instead of a lychee as garnish it came with an individually wrapped "lychee candy" taped to the side of the $16 drink... Our party was locked out in the cold patio 3 times. This could have been a health and safety issue. One of the waitresses (not ours) joked that we should've hopped over the cement barriers surrounding the patio and the street. Really odd "joke." One of us broke out in hives due to how cold it was out on the patio. I was very excited for this dinner. I regret not reserving my birthday dinner at one of the other locations or a different chain/restaurant in general. There was pee on the restroom floor and no toilet paper. read more

Food wise, it's not a wow factor, it's what you'll expect as you're ordering from Panda Express but obviously it's plated and served to you. But what wows is their service (I like how the wait staff are in uniform), ambiance (beautiful modern decor heavily in black and gold metal), clean restrooms, fitting mood music, and attentive service. Think Nobu or Din Tai Fung. Nice place to impress your non chinese friends, and doesn't hurt they have private rooms. Lovely patio as well.
