Service was good, parking lot packed. Don't know what I missed, but yhr food was not very good. Sweet & Sour Chicken was, overly SWEET, chicken had a powdery flavor/taste to it. Stumbled upon this great little place recently and was very glad we did! The staff was super efficient, friendly with a sense of humor. The food was served unusually fast! All 4 of us had a different combination plate, all very tasty and served nice and hot. Each of our dishes was way more than we could eat, had to take half home! We were pretty disappointed with the food and the lack of customer service here. We ordered a side of tofu for my 16 month old and they would not cook just a side of tofu their reason seemed sketchy and ridiculous. She even said we could just share our meal with her. (Well duh, guess we are forced to do that) Sorry Montrose but you deserve a better Chinese restaurant. I got szechuan Tofu and I could barely eat it. Good food, but the environment is rather dark and dated and the service is a mix bag of very friendly and some that are definitely not meant to be serving the public. Call before visiting.... Unfortunately on Sept 30th they had a fire that burned the building. The owner stated he'd like to re-open, but as of Oct 2015 they are closed. I hope they do reopen, and create a new fresh interior, and hire some friendlier waitresses that understand what it takes to serve the public and the good attitude that needs to go with it to make an "okay" place "great". Good little Chinese food place. Good portion sizes, and the food always tastes good. The menu is vast, full of options to please almost anyone. The service is acceptable, although curt at times. Panda was AMAZING!!!! While on a motorcycle trip, I went here on the recommendation of a friend who is a local. They cook your food when you order it, and they cook it perfectly! The inside was recently been renovated, so don't be fooled. Gorgeous and very clean dining room. I wish I lived here so I could eat here more often. read more

My friend regularly try different restaurants in town, but Panda Palace is our go to place. The food is well prepared and the staff is friendly, especially the male waiter there. He is so funny and always very respectful. Employees are friendly, and handed my girlfriend a bunch of fortune cookies after she opened one with no fortune. I grew up in montrose and every time I return, this is the place I look forward to eating the most!! It's an older building so with a fun oriental staff. It's not a 5star dining place and that is not their intent. It's perfect for a good lunch or family dinner. The food, in my opinion is awesome. The fried rice I have never had anywhere else and I love it, their food entrees are hot and plentiful! I think that it might be a place that doesn't seem like a normal Chinese place to people who live elsewhere, but for most of the locals, this place rocks and other places are below par! I change it up now and then but tonight, the wife and I picked up some beef and broccoli, won-tons and egg drop soup. Beef was tender and the soup was almost spot on! A long time visited place ends like a funeral tonight. This was horrendous service and experience all the way around. Arguing in the kitchen pressure to order it it 8:47 they close at 9 what's the problem?? Aditudes flying apparently the not so friendly staff wants to leave before there doors say 9. I've eaten here three times, and as a lover of Chinese food, this is easily my favorite restaurant in town. Each time I've come, I've ordered the orange chicken. So although I can't account for the quality of a variety of their food, I can guarantee that their orange chicken is phenomenal. The staff are very friendly and nice, and the restaurant is always very clean. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious Chinese meal. read more
