My matcha milk tea tasted like a yogurt drink. I had a few sips and threw the rest away. It was nasty. My son had a strawberry milk tea that tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. My son barely drank his. The brown sugar milk tea my husband ordered was the only decent one, but even he did not finish it. The boba was also funky. They use poor-quality ingredients. Price is high yes, 9.99 for a bubble tea. However, this is a very expensive area and I'm sure they've got very high rent to pay. The tea tastes great. The green tea has great jasmine flavor. I won't lie, this place is pretty gross inside. I still can't believe I drank the drink I ordered. This spot has so much potential but whom ever is running it is not clean nor organized. Upon going in, the inside is somewhat dark because a lot of the lights are either burnt out or off. Behind the counter is an absolute mess. There was trash piled high and spilling out of all the trash cans we could see. The floors were sticky and there was lose trash all over. The white seats had stuff on them. The list could go on. The only reason I can imagine people continuing to come back is because the drinks are actually pretty tasty but maybe people just look past everything else. While craving something sweet at the National harbor, I wandered into this bubble tea place. I got my regular order, black milk tea with half sugar and double tapioca. Finally a place that honors my double tapioca. Other places just put a little extra, but you'll see in the photo that it's a cup of bubbles and a splash of tea (as it should be). But all joking aside, it was delicious. The tea was right to my order, not too sweet or too strong. The tapioca balls, which you can see from the last paragraph are very important to me, were PERFECT. Slightly warm and gummy, their texture is beyond word description. If you're a tapioca fan, treat yourself to double tapioca because at this place it's worth it. They have a wide variety of flavors for not just rolled ice cream also boba, and macaroons. The boba there is elicit Devine and delightful. We tried 4 different times in saying good morning and asking about different boba and she kept pointing to the menu annoyed every time. Service was decent. No ambience whatsoever, no music or TVs. Not much seating to be honest especially for the the board games on the shelf towards back of shop. The ones to the right as soon as you enter are for purchase as well as the panda memorabilia. Menu is pretty extensive. Tea was fresh since i went a few minutes after opening. We waited patiently for our order after being told it would take about 10 minutes. 20 minutes later others who ordered similar items who were behind us in line received their order and we had not. I said something the cashier who had placed the orders out of order. Then when we received our order it was wrong. I said something to the cashier. He swore that it was not wrong. I know it was wrong because my daughter is allergic to one of the items in this particular item. I said something to the lady who was the manager and said they don't do exchanges even when they were wrong!! Not the mention the cashier continued to argue despite me no longer speaking to him. Do *not* recommend. We walked in as the store was open, the place was still bustling and people were making food. We spent several minutes at the menu deciding what to order. As soon as we go up to order they say "sorry we're closed" and make us leave. The audacity... they could have told us as soon as we walked in that they were closing!? What a waste of time! This cafe has a lot of potential, but it is, for a lack of better words, boring! There isn't much to the decor and there is never any music playing, which makes the ambience very dull. It makes you not want to sit and hang around. If it looked more photo-worthy and had a better atmosphere, I think they would be way busier!
