Location location location! This place is in a great spot for lunch goers and church goes and coffee lovers. its right off the lightrail and across from two churches that I know of, AND next door to lux. You could even get your bike tuned at the Slippery Pig while you eat! Its got the cutest "i got all this stuff at a yardsale and upcycled it into voila" amazing furniture! The wait staff was friendly and the food was delish! I ordered the soup made with seasonal veggies. My son was in the mood for meatball sandwich probably because he smelled the special "Sloppy Giuseppe" brewing! He ordered that and was mega pleased. its exactly like a meatball sub only its not. =D Instead of meatballs its like a meat sauce with more meat and less sauce. We'll definitely be back. read more

As far as quick, easy, and casual lunch goes, this place is as good as it gets. YUM. After hearing rave reviews about this place from coworkers, I finally made it over there. The dine-in side is very cute and looks in theme with the other Bianco establishments. The drink of the day was some melon/prosecco goodness but since i had to go back to work, I didn't not imbibe. I had my mind made up that I would go with the mozz sandwich recommendation but if the market sandwich (sandwich of the day) was a meatball sandwich, that would be my choice. The market sandwich was eggplant and creamy burrata (which my coworker had and really enjoyed) so I went with the mozz. Simple clean flavors are the best. The mozzarella was so creamy rich, the basil was fresh and the tomatoes -- perfectly vine-ripe -- a great balance to the mozz. Yum. Seasoned ever so slightly with some salt and pep on focaccia that is not of this earth. All the Bianco restaurants kill it with their bread game. From the bread and butter, to the pizza, to the focaccia -- its all phenomenal. Honestly, I have never been a fan of focaccia but i know now its because I have only had sh*tty focaccia up until this point. Let me not forget the iced tea -- as I have I said in yelp reviews of other places that I am an avid iced tea enthusiast and sometimes a star hinges on the iced tea. This iced tea is delicious -- no Gold Peak or Nestea crap here. I forgot to ask our server (an ethnic Sam Smith look alike) what kind of tea it was because I would buy it and brew it at home. Service was friendly and fast. We arrived early enough to find a seat and parking. In nicer weather, they have a fair amount of seating outside as well. We also saw Chris Bianco there! The mozzarella sandwich was delicious and the creaminess of the house made mozzarella was contrasted perfectly with the chewiness of the bread. So so good. It would be even better with a small helping of balsamic to cut through some of the saltiness of the cheese. read more

Once again I stumbled (well, actually a friend introduced me) onto a delightful establishment. My taste-buds are still quivering from the gastronomic pleasure of this weekend lunch. Not only was the food incredible, but the service was superb! And we got a little inside info - they shall be serving beer and wine soon - how soon? Maybe already. I plan on making this a stop on every trip I make into central Phoenix. It was unbelievably satisfying. P.S. Share the flour-less chocolate cake with your dining companions. **Takeout review** I've tried the other bianco businesses in town and I am a big fan. I couldn't resist the margherita pizza with the market salad. The salad was a shredded Brussels sprout slaw with cabbage, radishes, grapes, and the highlight: an amazing blue cheese that literally was the star of the meal. My pizza was fresh with nice simple preparation of a classic red sauce spotted with mozzarella and basil. Unfortunately for me this was about soggy in the center but I warmed my pizza stone at home to crisp it up. As far as the service, Ariel was professional and kind when I picked up my order. She took the time to ask about my day and invited me back soon. Next time I will dine in because the wine selection looks great. read more

We've been here 4-5 times and enjoy the low-key environment, open space and friendly service. Last night was no exception. We arrived at 7pm or so on a Friday night and were seated immediately just inside the door at a funky blue table for two that old carvings in it. The servers worked together to make sure that we had beverages ( Pinot Noir and a Sangiovese) and inform us of the evenings specials. We ordered the Lasagna, the Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil Salad (The Best in Town), and the special Antipasto Platter that included grilled asparagus, sweet potatoes, beets, cauliflower and garlic cloves. The only hiccup for the pleasant dinner was that the three servings took over 25 minutes to come out. We had a few slices of their excellent bread to satiate us, but the salad was the last item to come from the kitchen and we had asked the food to come as soon as it was ready. In closing, the management was kind enough to comp a few things for the wait. We will return again soon! read more

I was entertaining a client and I suggested this place and even my client recommended we go elsewhere due to their past service experience, we went anyways. We sat at a table and both wanted to order a glass of wine and when my client asked for a Pino Noir and our server goes "huh?" And she said it was okay and never mind she would order a house red while I ordered the Chardonnay. The server came back and said they were out, no problem, I then asked what the house white was and she goes to tell me it's PINO NIOR. So I said no thank you, just the house white... whatever it was would be fine as long as it was white. Fast forward, the food came out fast and was genuinely great. Ran the tab but forgot to put in my togo order under my company card so I asked her to void the charge (haven't tipped yet so I knew it wasn't completely closed out... worked at multiple service industry jobs) and she proceeds to tell me that she can't do that.. okay.. thats totally fine, most employees can't and they probably need a manager. Asked her to ask the manager so I could order MORE food from them to go on the same card and she comes back and says "we can't void charges, my manager said". not sure if she even asked on my behalf or which one was being lazy, maybe both, but it's a simple request and we were more than polite and we were not in a hurry. Either way, the poor full costumer service reputation was met during my first experience... but hats off to the cooks and environment. Won't be back to entertain clients though. read more

If I had a more sophisticated palate, I would probably rate Pane Bianco much higher. It's a little confusing where you come in because you need to go to different areas if you're dining inside or taking your food to go- sidenote: Eating at their outside patio is TO GO. I went with the mozzarello, tomato, basil sandwich. Their fresh baked foccasia bread was delish, and my sandwich was really filling. I also liked that they had sweet tea as a beverage option. 3.5 stars..Wanted to love this place and do really like it. Thought the menu was limited but very fresh. The market sandwich was a winner. Didn't care for the tuna at all. The balsamic made it far too sweet for this tuna fan. The pickled sides were a highlight. The lentil soup was good, not great. Love the decor of the place, especially the mid century modern swag lighting over the bar. It is an eclectic casual joint but a bit pricey. We will return and give it another whirl. read more

Excellent service and very fast. There's a small selection of local beers on tap, which I like and a small menu of sandwiches and salads. We had the chicken salad sandwich and the prosciutto sandwich and both came with a tiny slaw on the side. Everything was excellent. I think our bill total for the two sandwiches and 2 beers was around $40. Beers were pricey at $6 each a pint, but they are a buck or two cheaper at Happy Hour. We had just flown into Phoenix around lunch, and this was on the way to our destination so we decided to stop to try it. Pizzeria Bianco is always a stop when we come to town because we love it! This place was quite confusing. It looked fast casual, so we ordered at the register then asked if we should sit down or wait there or what because it wasn't clear to us. The cashier wasn't even sure. "Um, I guess I can take your name." What do they usually do?? My friends waited up there while I grabbed a table on the other side. I could feel a vibe that me sitting at the table was clearly a problem from the mean looks I was getting from the server and that cashier when they talked to each other, but they never actually addressed anything with me. Were we supposed to sit outside? I still have no idea what we did wrong, and if we didn't understand "the way" of things there, please put up instructional signs or provide direction when we ask for clarification. It was decently busy, but we were clearly a huge inconvenience for the employees. The mozzarella sandwich, pizza, and farmer's salad were good, clean tasting. Nothing that blew us away, but certainly with the lack of helpful service, we will just stick with the other pizzeria locations. Not only is the tap handle adorable (I'm a sucker for pretty aesthetics), the beer itself was exceptional! Not too heavy or overly spiced, which can be the issue in my opinion with a lot of pumpkin brews. It was very smooth, and a new favorite of mine! Food: We came for their dinner menu (after 4pm), so we will definitely be back to try their lunch menu options as well. I ordered the "Meatball Hero", which was a giant meatball sandwich with a side salad! The bread was just the right amount of crispy and their sauce recipe is delicious! We also ordered the "Lasagna al Forno", which boats the same sauce and cheese melted on top! Both great choices, but the lasagna was slightly better in my opinion. I love their bread as well, which seems to be quite the hit. The place was very quiet inside on a Saturday afternoon, but several customers showed up for pick up orders of just bread! For dessert, we ordered the "Tres Leches Cake". Which is ALWAYS delicious. I liked the added touch of almonds sprinkled on top... the only thing that could make it better would be caramel sauce! Ambiance/Service: The decor was exceptional and very cute! I loved the mix of rustic feels in with all the textures. The music softly played in the background and our server was very friendly. At first I was a little skeptical about this restaurant because i'm a bit of a picky eater but it turns out it was a great choice. I had the market sandwich and it was delicious and the people in my group were also fans of their food. The sandwiches are made from fresh baked bread which makes the sandwiches seem extra good. There are a lot of different types of food options including sandwiches, soups, salads, and pizza. The environment is very casual but in the best way, it's a smaller restaurant so it may not be the best for large groups but there is a large outdoor seating area. It's fairly busy but the food came quick and the service was great. I would definitely visit this place again and I would highly recommend it. read more

Was not impressed. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and I suppose it was my fault for assuming it would be a boneless skinless breast of chicken. What I received instead was a sandwich with "pieces" of chopped up chicken chunks which consisted of mostly dark grisly meat and even rubbery chicken skin. So Gross. Server never asked if I liked it even though I took apart the entire sandwich and essentially ate only the bread. (The bread WAS good). Are my reviews disappearing? I submitted a photo of this place back in September and it's still there, but I would swear I wrote a review too.... So add me to the mozzarella sandwich love. I could eat the hell out of that thing every day of the week. Really wish I still lived close by so I could. The sandwich is so perfect, and so FRESH tasting unlike so many other "caprese" style sandwiches I have tasted. And for $8 you get a HUGE sandwich. Go get it, you wont be disappointed. The bread here is the most redeeming thing about this place. I love to pick up a fresh baguette to take home and make my own sandwiches or garlic bread with for a snack. I usually get the sandwich of the day or the sopressatta sandwich. The roasted peppers can be a little overwhelming for me so I usually ask them to go light on them. Prepared for it to be busy because I've never been when it hasn't been super busy. Nonetheless it's very worth it and you can tell it's a local business and they care about your experience and the food they put out. Five stars? Oh, so close! I've stopped in to Pane Bianco a couple of times and have enoyed the non-commercial sandwiches here. And by "non-commercial", I mean the type my Italian Mom used to make when I was a kid. On my first visit I had what amounted to the caprese sandwich (mozzarella, tomato & basil.) PB is known for its mozzarella, so I wasn't surprised by its goodness, but I swear the sprig of basil must have been just picked that day...so flavorful and fragant. It really made the sammy! The price was about $8.50. If I would have stopped there, PB would have have five stars. On my second visit I had the Market Sandwich (mortadella, peach relish, pecorino and greens). The mortadella seemed a bit flavorless. It was sliced thin (which I love) but could have used an extra layer. It just seemed as though the pecorino (perhaps due to the saltiness) and sweetness of the peach relish (a slight departure from the website description) overpowered the mortadella. In fact, the sandwich was a bit on the dry side and could have used a bit more of the relish for moisture, especially in light of the fact this type of bread tends to be on the dry side. The relish really shouldn't be any sweeter as, it too, runs the risk of overpowering the flavor of the meat. If Chris Bianco can find a way to add greater volume to the relish without adding any additional sweetness, I'd give PB five stars! Now, if only something can be done about the $11 price tag, this could be an "A+" sandwich! Feel like getting experiemntal at home? Be sure to grab a freshly baked loaf before you leave. A bargain at just $3. My only real disappointment is that PB isn't open on Sunday. Hopefully, they'll expand once Lux moves from the space they occupy next door and Pane Bianco will have reason to expand both their space AND their hours of operation. Who knows...maybe even offer some vino??? I still crave Pane Bianco and can't wait to go back, I'm already salivating over the Soppressata with Aged Provolone & Roasted Peppers. Okay, to start off, we were a happy little group of caffeinated mid-twenties sisters with a nine month old. They were great about the little one, promptly bringing out a high chair and making us feel welcome. Then the mediocre service began. The server recited the specials while staring at the board and then walked away. They were inattentive as we tried for about fifteen minutes to catch one of the two servers' eyes when we were finished. Granted, we had eaten about half of the food, so it very well could have looked like we were still eating. The reason we had eaten half the food was because it just wasn't that great. The market special sandwich that day was roast lamb with escarole, which I was stoked about. The bread it came on was kind of tough and the meat lacked flavor. It could have used some sweet peppers or something for some contrast. Just a bit blase, imo. The mozzarella salad was lovely as expected, and the pickled veggies were nice. I can't say I'd return, but it was nice to finally check out as it is right next to Lux. Tipped the server well since she was putting up with a baby who repeatedly threw the menu on the ground, giggling. read more

The bread is amazing, like a must try in Phoenix for lunch. The food is so tasty and simple. Sandwiches come with these yummy spicy beans! I would have never thought of this as a side, but it's way better than some dumb bag of chips. The problem is every time I order from here there is an issue with my order. Maybe you just need to go there and it is different in person, but ordering over the phone or through a delivery app is always an issue. This last time I ordered the prosciutto sandwich and ended up with a vegetarian sandwich. It tastes good... but it's not what I wanted. read more

You must eat outside on a wood pick nick table or take your meal to go as there is no indoor seating, which can be a bit of a problem when the summer is 100+ degrees. The line can also spill outside in to the heat too. They are lunch only . The front of the store acts as a small niche marking with some very pricey natural options. If you want some of the best mozzarella cheese ever go here and try it in sandwich form with some fresh basil and nice red tomatoes. It is worth the trade offs. read more

If you're looking for a higher than average priced sandwich that comes with more arugula than tuna, come here. I'm guessing that the 8$ I paid for the sandwich is more for covering the hip little piece of chocolate, the napkin and the overall "look" of the restaurant than it is for the sandwich. Is this an 8$ sandwich? No. I'd say more of a 6.50 w/ tax. Some points: - Yes, the tuna is tasty. Is it AMAZING, or heaven, or any other word used before in the other reviews to signify that this HAS to be the GREATEST tuna ever? No. - Bread is really good. I'll give credit where it's due. - Way too much arugula on the sandwich. Seriously, I opened it up and had to go looking for the tuna. Don't think I didn't catch that the tuna is all in the middle so it looks like there is a lot but really there isn't. I'm sure that tons and tons of people love this place because it's slightly better than most places in Phoenix. That's the thing about beating the competition. You don't have to be mind-blowingly amazing. You just have to try 5% harder than the rest. This is 5% more of an effort, and it shows, but let's not pretend that Pane Bianco is the next greatest thing ever even if some of the other reviewers will have you believe it. I'll give it one more try and if I'm not satisfied with their mozzarella sandwich, I most likely will not go back. I'm a big fan of the Bianco family. I can't believe it took me this long to discover Pane existed! (I frequent Pizzeria Bianco) They have two rotating taps and two constants. Today it was Four Peaks Hop Not and a SunBru if I remember correctly- then a sour and prickly pear wheat. I went with the sour for a nice refreshing kick in this AZ summer heat. The short beers are $3 and pints are $6. For lunch I ordered a fennel grapefruit salad which was like no other salad I've ever experienced. It was refreshing and light. Definitely a lighter lunch so I don't recommend if you are starving but a great pick for something unique and light! Our server was very pleasant and sweet.
