A great place to treat yourself with some upscale high quality ingredients and delicious food. I walked in (didn't order ahead) to place my to go order and the service was polite and helpful. I got the italian combo and prosciutto salad. They have a small area with olive oil and dry pasta and I couldn't resist to got a bottle of the olive oil. It was pricey but it's good! I will keep it for special occasions to use during home cooking. The sandwich and salad were bright with aromatic fresh ingredients and man they were good. Portion size could have def been for two people, I'm saving the rest for later tonight.

I had high hopes for this place. Maybe I should I order something else. We tried it for the first time. I would try it again but something else. We got the Tuna sandwich and it tasted more like sardines and was super super dry! Would not recommend. I got the Italian combo and the inside of the sandwich was great but the bread was sooooooo hard!! Cut the roof of your mouth hard. Very hard to eat. They both came with a cabbage salad on the side that was good Lastly my friend also got the side salad which seemed very plain but the dressing was very tasty kinda saved the lunch.

The original of the Pizzeria Bianco chain. Although I have seen this at The Row in DTLA, my first experience is at this Central Phoenix location during a work trip. We had an opportunity to meet Chris Bianco as well, which was how we learned this was the first location. Their lunch menu was really simple, and parking was not too bad. We got here right around when it opened, and there were already parties sitting at the tables. I ordered the pepperoni al taglio since one of my former bosses told me the pizza was amazing at the DTLA location. The portions of the food were really great for the price point. I ordered a second pepperoni al taglio as I was famished. The second one I ordered felt overbaked compared to the first one, unfortunately. They can get really busy in a matter of minutes. Service was friendly though not the fastest. It was a great lunch spot in the middle of the work day.

Absolutely incredible service and delicious food. Chris Bianco and his team are unparalleled. I would eat their calzones and mozzarella salad every week if I could!

Porchetta Sandwich

If you haven't had the porchetta sandwich, you have never lived. This is my top 3 sandwiches in Phoenix. The creamy, cold, greens cuts through the richness of the pork. The sandwich is messy. Ask my extra napkins.

Tried out Pane Bianco for a late Friday lunch excited to taste the highly rated focaccia bread. This restaurant is situated right next to Lux so parking is tight. I was able to snag some street parking but make sure you heed any signage. Pane Bianco is a casual indoor/outdoor restaurant and the winter weather was cause for the entry door to be pulled open. The climate was pleasant, but there were more than a few bugs buzzing around. We ordered the albacore tuna salad sandwich and the mozzarella sandwich. The foccacia was incredible - nicely toasted and flavorful. If I were to go again, I'd pass on the tuna. It was bland and overall missable. The mozzarella was as fresh as the bread but the prosciutto left something to be desired. Overall this a fun spot for a casual meal; it might be more of a takeout spot. If you'd rather make your own sandwich, you can purchase bread at the counter.

Had lunch at Pane Bianco yesterday and really enjoyed it! I ordered the tuna salad and it was plentiful for the price. I really liked the rustic and home-y ambience of the restaurant. It had a unique vibe to interior design. The fresh bread was also awesome.

Nothing beats their fresh mozzarella sandwich served before 3pm. And trust me you'll always crave it after 3 and be disappointed haha. The focaccia bread is scrumptious and it has the right amount of cold thick mozzarella and tomato piled on. Wrapped in paper and aiming to please! You have to try it!! In over a decade, this recipe has only seemingly gotten tastier!

Pane Bianco is one of my go to sandwich places in the valley. Everything on the menu is great and they use fresh local ingredients which really shows in the quality of the food. I've eaten here for a sit down lunch or also a quick takeout but am always treated great by the staff. I'm looking forward to coming back here and trying something new off the menu!

If I could eat here everyday I would. The bread itself is amazing. The food is fresh and reasonably proved. The restaurant is small but rustic. I love the vibe it has. Service was a little on the slow side but overall definitely worth a return visit....or10

Really liked the food that we got. The square pizza (Al Taglio) was bomb and the green pizza was also really good. The bread on the sandwiches had the perfect chew to it and made the prime rib sandwich for me. I saw people just buying bread to go. I think it's advertised as a sandwich spot but I will remember the pizza!

Had an awesome experience at Pane Bianco. AJ took my order and couldn't have been more professional--he pointed me toward the pizza, and honestly, great call. They cranked it out fast, and the result was this gorgeous wood-fired pie with a bottom crust that honestly feels like something people dream about. I'm 100% coming back. The whole place just has this super welcoming, calm energy, and I knew the second I walked in that the food was gonna hit.

Inside atmosphere, upscale pizza place. Staff was attentive throughout the night. All of the food hits. Maybe I'm sucked in to the lore, but I don't care. All of the food brought flavor worth the hype. This is the kind of spot you want to bring your out of town guests to. Experience it, I know I will again. Best result for me was an air fryer for the leftover pizza.

Many of us…read moreremember the mid-1990s when reports were coming out of Phoenix that some new pizzeria might just serve the best pizza in the United States! What? So far from New York? How is this possible? And the reports kept coming. Bronx native Chris Bianco had done the impossible, expanding authentic pizzas beyond the Mississippi River. The accolades and awards were endless, the critics raved, and even documentaries were produced. So we all started putting this place on our bucket list. I finally made the pilgrimage in 2026 to this mecca, this icon, this uber-famous destination. And it was worth the hype! The most beautiful red sauce complements the perfectly stretchy fresh mozzarella. Since I opted for the Sonny Boy, I was treated to high quality slices of salami and whole olives. The crust is thin, charred in various spots, slightly crispy on the bottom but still properly chewy. It is a thing to behold, ranking right up there with the best pizzas I've had in Italy and the states! I wish the olives were halved and not whole so they wouldn't roll off my pizza. But I didn't care. I even violated my germaphobic code for the first time in decades and snatched an olive off the table, it was that good! Because of its location inside Heritage and Science Park, there is a mandatory $10 parking charge for valeting plus a recommended tip. There is no validating inside the restaurant. But the surprise surcharge was also worth it!

It had been a minute, but my friends and I made the Cibo lunch scene the other day. Now, when Italian-Americans order lunch, it's a given, EVERYTHING ordered is for the table. The pizza was as good as any Neapolitan-style pizza in town, including that dude named "Chris". The arancini was slightly over-fried, but I actually dug the crunch. Salad, fresh. Staff, energetic and fun. Fellas, take your date. You'll be a hero. Some places are restaurants. Some become part of a city's story. Cibo feels a lot like the latter.

We were seated and immediately after sitting down I literally couldn't hear anything anyone was saying at my table. Most the customers were crammed into the front right room and it was impossible to hear anyone at my table with loud women surrounding us enjoying lunch (which is fine) but break up the crowd a little.. I immediately stood up and asked to be moved so we could atleast hear each other. The young teen who Sat us was very helpful and moved us to a different table in the back right. When I tried to order the appetizer, I said "Yes, (looking at the waitress) we'd like to split a Caprese ( glances at my daughter to confirm in a questioning voice hesitating at the end) The waitresses said, "ok, I'll come back in a few when you figure it out" obviously not willing to wait a few seconds for a confirmation. We just sat there going Wow?!? That was wild, we also had our pizza orders ready but ended up waiting till she wandered back our way. The entire time we felt like we were keeping her from her kids? Grandkids? We definitely put her out, drinks were not offered beyond the first, I had to ask for a second one. The pizzas came, but not mine. I was informed it was wrong and they had to remake it. After my pizza finally came I realized it was still rather doughy and undercooked. We moved on as my daughters were done eating thier pizza and one of them grabbed boxes and we boxed them and waited to order crepes. We finally got our crepes and mine didn't look gf and was missing the allergy flag. We waited a few and I finally got up and went to the front room, the 2 teen girls (servers? They were serving) were messing around in the front room and almost ran into me when I FINALLY went up front to say My food had been messed up after it was dropped, no one checked back. They kept messing around and then stopped and looked at me asking if I needed help. I said YES please. She went into the side room to the front left and the waitress got up from the table where she was sitting with the other kids (that were at the drink fountain when we'd walked in.) She asked what she could help me with... I told her my gf pizza was not cooked all the way; I'd thrown it into a box (that we'd actually went to get) and I'll reheat it properly later and eat it, but the crepe I was concerned as there was not an allergy flag and it looked JUST like my daughters texture wise. I'm familiar with the crepes and I REALLY didn't think it was gf. She said she would not do anything about the pizza since I didn't mention it prior but the crepe was indeed gluten free. A little stunned I again said I would take the pizza home and reheat, I didn't ask for anything in regards to the pizza as they reheat well... and I would not eat the crepe, I truly didn't think it was gf! She said they'd remake it. I replied no thank you. (I'd already sat once while my party ate, for the gf pizza to be remade... I wasn't doing that again. With an attitude she told me she'd remove it from the bill! One bite was cut out and STILL on the fork, it should but have been an issue. I love Cibo and the food is amazing and it's worth the drive to come from Surprise for a treat, but that was a bit much...I'll be back, but I'll definitely ask for a different server!

You can also get a whole pie of your choice. They grate fresh parm on all the slices which I thought was a nice touch. The girl at the register seemed very knowledgeable about all the pizzas and gave us lots of details and recommendations which we appreciated. First we got the green, di Parma, and the Phoenix. The green has pistachios and fresh arugula on it, I thought the overall flavor was too sweet and the pistachios weren't crush enough. The Phoenix was good, very honey forward and overall the flavor didn't stick out to me. The di Parma was a cheese pizza with procuttio and ricotta, overall a little plain to me. I think they all would've tasted better hot, but I understand that's not super realistic for a slice shop. For our second order we got the vodka sauce slice, which was for sure my favorite. First of all it was piping hot, and that elevated the whole experience. I thought the sauce was so flavorful and savory, and the basil made a perfect bite. I would go back for a whole pie of this! I really liked the prices here, we got dinner for less than $25 for 2. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some other slices and get a pie of the vodka!
