I was in town with my daughter for a tournament and Yelp didn't disappoint with this one! Such a great place; just wish it was closer to me. I split halves of Prosciutto and Mozzarella paninis with my daughter...both were delicious. Prosciutto: great balance of salt from the meat & cheese, pepper from the arugula, and a little heat (pepper flake?). The Mozzarella was just as good with marinated tomatoes. The maple latte was perfect; subtle flavor and not all all syrupy or overdone. We took a box of pastries to go and several didn't make it home. Really well done all around. I stopped in for a cappuccino mid day it wasn't busy at all so service was quite prompt. My coffee was very good, although I thought the serving size was small for the price. Always a nice feature is raw sugar for your coffee which I greatly appreciate.I must admit I don't order coffee drinks stateside as I am usually disappointed, perhaps the serving/price is inline with other such local establishments. read more

Frankly, I haven't had anything "bad" from Pan'e Dolcetti. And I'm not even sure it's possible to find something that's not delicious on the menu. The coffee is the best around, period. It's hands down the best coffee I've had in the Pioneer Valley. The sandwiches are simple, classic, and perfect for it: fresh bread, fresh Italian cured meats, very few "extras." Just a simple, awesome sandwich. And don't even get me started on the desserts. Jesus. They're phenomenal. The cannoli here is out of this world fresh. And you know it's legitimate because the filling is heavy on the ricotta and light on the sweetness and they don't add the filling until you order. You can't best that. Lastly, the owners are just plain friendly and kind. Go in when it's not too busy. They're just really down to earth folks. I was just saying that I go in here way to much! I usually don't get inspired to write a review unless the experience was terrible and needs to be shared. There are however a few times that I have felt obligated to post something wonderful. This is one of those times. The bread is the best in all of Massachusetts, all of Connecticut anywhere in All of New England in fact. You would have to go to a specialty bakery in Brooklyn or the Bronx to even make a comparison. The sandwiches are AMAZING and unique and you will ask yourself how a sandwich could possibly taste this good. If you haven't tried this gem, do yourself a favor. But be warned of one thing. Off the beaten path in Wilbraham, Mass, this little shop is a must stop spot. It's simple and relatively small, but this is definitely NOT another quickie coffee and sandwich shop. This was a holiday weekend and we only wanted a quick bite before we got back on the road. Alas. the holiday meant all our choices were closed, so we wandered far off our intended path until we found Pan'e Dolcetti. It was open so we stopped. Lucky us. First off, this is serious brewed coffee to linger over, every sip an adventure in taste. It really helps to know good coffee and here that really, really shows.... Turns out owners Cara and Felice Aiello learned their beans from coffee-maven Donna Fragle at New York's ultimate coffeehouse, Oren's Daily Roast, The best coffee in this house, a big satisfying cup, three bucks.... Wow, what a deal. Panini seemed just right, quick, toasty, good enough.... A few things of note. When the panini arrived, we didn't want to get anywhere except into another bite. Quality and care SCREAM through. The homemade facacio bread was astonishingly tasty and just right for the sandwich. Only, oddly, it wasn't toasted. That is, after all, the definition of a panini - toasted sandwich. So I missed the crunch, I missed the cheese melting into all the crevices, but all in all, I didn't give a damn because it was so amazingly good. Great ingredients and lots of care made this one of the best non-panini sandwiches ever. That's it. Nothing much else to report. We got back on the road, a bit delayed but pleased with a great stop. Next time we'll plan on going out of our way to come back. This place is definitely worth it. read more

Delicious lunch today! My daughter and I stopped to get a cup of cappuccino, a chai and a bakery item. We ended up getting a delicious sandwich. It was yummy bread with a nice fresh layer of mozzarella, roasted yellow tomatoes (with a favor that was out of this world) with fresh basil. OMG! The cream puffs were to die for! This is a hidden gem! Their coffee can not be beat and their bakery/kitchen is outstanding. Everything seems to be prepared by hand and the results will most certainly not disappoint. The vibe is excellent as well, with custom-made tables and an old-fashioned looking wood floor. The owners will greet you upon arriving and treat you like a long-time friend. How can you beat that? We had an early morning soccer game to attend in a neighboring town so I went to Yelp to find a good cup of coffee. We found that and more! We arrived shortly after they had opened and got that cup of coffee and a polenta pear muffin. We returned after the game to get another muffin, a gougere, and a loaf of still warm Italian bread. All of the baked goods were terrific but the Italian bread was out of this world. The owner was very pleasant and hospitable. My only tip is that the entrance to the building is on the right side of the Michael's restaurant. Don't give up if you don't find it immediately. We are hoping for another away game near here so we have a good excuse to return. Thanks to Yelp for this one as we never would have found it otherwise. read more

Awesome little place with delicious treats!! I came for the first time with my wife and two young kids for an after dinner treat. My wife has been raving about this place, so we all went for a visit. We had some gelato and I had a piece of tiramisu (which is to die for) and some little almond cookie things...absolutely awesome! The owners make everything but the gelato in house and you can tell, there's nothing like it around here, you have to go! I went back today for a late afternoon snack and I got some of their cannoli they fill to order, absolutely incredible--so fresh and delicious. I also tried one of their homemade rolls, again delicious (I also bought more almond cookies and a piece of the tiramisu), what can I say, I have a sweet tooth :) Haven't tried the coffee or sandwiches yet, but I will and I bet they will be great too. You can tell when someone has talent and passion for food, it always tastes just right! The quality is evident and the prices are reasonable for what you get, without a doubt. The "pizza" (aka Italian panini bread) here is amazing!!!! It tastes so similar to the authentic pizza my nonna would buy for me in Rome. I always get a panini when I come and they are always delicious. The desserts are pretty good too but they don't remind me of the Italy I know. Pretty tiny in there but it's clean. I have never been to Italy but this little bakery and coffee shop is what I imagine that a similar place may be like there, I'm sure Americanized. This small business has all handmade goodies-- you can even see the proprietor in the window of his kitchen at times as he looks out over the dining area. I had a wonderful iced coffee and cookie last time and today was a delicious Americano with a treat of a plum almond galette. The galette was incredible. They serve sandwiches but I haven't had any there yet. Can't wait to try at some point. A great gem in Wilbraham! read more

I was in the area for business, so I stopped in here while looking for a coffee shop in the area that isn't Dunkin or Starbucks. Fortunately I had my GPS directing me because this not a place you will just "stumble upon". It's shockingly easy to whiz right by without seeing it. The pour over coffee was fantastic and surpassed my expectations. The coffee was ground to-order, and then prepared right in front of you. Definitely spend the extra few cents and minutes ordering pourover if you have the time. Despite having a sweet tooth, I figured I should order something savory for lunch. The savory options are extremely limited, but I enjoyed the prosciutto and pecorino panini. The bread was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and how doesn't like prosciutto? Again, a way better option than choosing a pre-prepared sandwich from Starbucks or some other chain coffee joint. Overall, the options for food (both sweet and savory) are limited, but it all is delicious. This is the kind of place I would expect to see in a much more urban location, and if it was in Boston I guarantee you I would be a regular. read more

Excellent bread equates to superb paninis. We had 3: the roast beef, the prosciutto and the mortadella. I do wish the meat was laid on just a little thicker for the mortadella panini but otherwise they were great. We also tried the peanut butter tart and the lemon meringue. It's difficult to find Pan'e Dolcetti it really gets lost in a strip ish mall that's Overshadowed by a restaurant that has big huge signs. I'm glad the GPS was on .. it was worth the hard right hand turn. The pastries were very good-excellent and the atmosphere was quaint. How they are surviving is beyond me. The have a very limited selection, perhaps that is what is keeping them afloat. If you find yourself in the area GPS them the raspberry/lemoncello cake was great and so was the crystallized ginger zucchini bread. read more

My family and I have been faithful patrons of Pan'e since it opened. My mother and I rarely drink coffee, but the options here are of such quality and flavor that we can rarely abstain! My particular favorite things to order are the iced mocha, the tiramisu and the blueberry-lavender gelato (although that is not always available). Thie tiramisu is gluten-free, which I also appreciate. The shop is very nostalgic and never all that loud--a very nice place to sit and relax. Always clean as well. It's rather easy to spee a pretty good amount of money, but it's well worth it! read more

I was looking for a specialty coffee shop and this place had the best reviews on yelp so I figured I'd give it a try. It's a very cozy feeling place inside, and the guy who made my coffee was extremely friendly and welcoming, he had no problems answering my questions about the coffee. Overall it had a good atmosphere. As for the coffee, wow. I got an iced coffee. It was bold, strong, and really flavorful. You can tell just by the taste it is quality coffee. I also tried a caramel chocolate tart since they didn't have the kind with the fruit on top that I saw in other reviews. It was delicious and very satisfying, a definite must try if you have a sweet tooth and are craving something chocolatey. The only thing stopping me from giving this place a 5 star review is that it was nearly impossible to find. It's a really tiny hole in the wall place in a strip mall. read more
