New location. VERY busy. I think that they have not yet gotten used to the crowd. The croissants are really good though, and they always seem to have what I am looking for. I went on a Saturday morning so they were quite busy, and there was an elderly couple with a large order giving them trouble, so I fully understood the slowness that my order was filled. I did get a coffee too, and it was not hot, but luke warm. I didn't mind too much as I was able to drink it right away. Other than that, this location is great. Horrible experience at this location this morning. First off I order turkey chili soup and I'm told they no longer have it. So I order broccoli cheddar soup and a ham and Swiss sandwich. After waiting for 20 minutes I'm told their soup isn't ready. Manager refunds me for the soup doesn't ask to help or fix anything. I hesitated at first to write this poor review but after tonight it is a must as a public service. As hard as it may be to believe I write this without exaggeration. 1st, about 2 weeks ago, I came through the drive through and at the speaker ordered a breakfast sandwich with the advertised brioche bread. I was immediately told that they did not have that bread and offered chibata ( pardon spelling) instead. This is a fairly regular occurrence at this location. What was new was when I got to the pickup window I was told that the chibata bread was gone. I then asked (thinking of the Monthy Python "Cheese Shop" routine) "what bread does the Panera Bread Co. actually have". I was told( I kid-you-not) " we have all the breads". I responded "oh, then you do have the brioche ". The answer was no. 2d, this evening I ordered at the drive through a Turkey Bravo and 1/2 Steak Panini. After paying a hefty price, I suspiciously felt around (in the dark of my car) and realized that no chips were in the bag. I called the attendant back and pointed out to her that sandwich orders normally come with chips. She argued with me that no they didn't but come with bread, but she would give me chips. She then gave 1 bag for 2 sandwiches. By this time I was ready to give up and went home only to discover that I had two 1/2 sandwiches ( I paid for a whole sandwich and a 1/2 sandwich) and ( wait for it) A HUGE HUNK OF BREAD PROVIDED TO GO ALONG WITH A SANDWICH!!! My family and I have tried this location several times and will not be visiting there again. We had to ask a few times for the frozen lemonade that finally came at the end of our meal. We were served a ham and swiss on wheat with visibly wilted and black lettuce not fit for eating. The French onion soup was goopy. It had shredded cheese which didn't melt because the soup was not very hot. The chicken noodle soup had overcooked noodles and they taste pastey. They offered to make another sandwich at the point when we were almost finished. Customer service there needs an uplift. It was a manager that listened to all our concerns and complaints, yet nothing really was resolved. The pastries we bought were the highlight of our trip there. They're pretty tasty, but we're not returning just for that. For the price of their sandwich, the quality should've have been at least 4 or 5 star. read more

FANTASTIC customer service!!!! As a (fairly new) Apopka resident and former resident of downtown Orlando, I was thrilled to see Panera come to this part of the county. :) They're still working out the kinks with orders - drive-thru has been hit or miss a few times, but managers always right there to correct the issue and refer to each as a 'learning opportunity' - I like that. :) Positive spin and all.... But their customer service is top-notch, no matter who's on register, which day, and at any hour... nice!!! Example, this morning, Hubs and I arrived at 10:40 (Labor Day holiday), ready for breakfast sandwiches. Another family had just come in before us, expecting the same thing. We were told, "We're so sorry. We stopped serving at 10:30." Disappointed, we turned to leave and said we'd run through another local spot with breakfast sandwiches.... Panera staff's reply: "We're happy to extend breakfast for you! It's a holiday!" And with that, we (all) ordered all the yummy things we wanted. *Big thanks to Panera staff and to Caitlyn, our cashier, for accommodating us. YOU are the reason I'm writing my review today! Yes, this location has been busy - we Apopkans are THRILLED to have another choice in our area, but things are settling down, and Panera is definitely worth a visit. I would say 9 times out of ten my rapid pick up order is not on the shelf. Two days in a row I have ordered a bagel...yes, a simple bagel...30 minutes ahead for rapid pick up and it hasn't been on the shelf. Isn't the whole point of rapid pick up to be...oh, I don't know...RAPID? This morning there were no customers in the restaurant and the girl behind the counter was laughing with a male coworker. In the meantime, my bagel is MIA yet again. I guess she was too busy flirting to bother doing her job. I asked for the bagel and she put it in a bag and handed it to me without a word. No "have a nice day" no "sorry about that" nothing. So rude. And by the way, it was the same girl behind the counter yesterday. They need to fire her. She's terrible. read more

I don't mean to be a stuck up Prick. But I ordered the Napa almond chicken salad sandwich and it was the worst chicken salad sandwich I have ever had in my entire life. I got the sandwich and it was literally just bread tomatoes and lettuce and that was it. There was like four or five little little pieces of chicken inside of it. I'm a fan of Panera, and this location is on par with the others I've been too. I have yet to be disappointed in any of their offerings. The bread is so yummy, as are the danishes, the pastries, the brownies, the cookies, the bagels, the salads, the sandwiches.... it's all good. I personally love the Asian Chicken Salad and the Tomato and Basil Pannini. I love the baguettes that come with the meals... but the chips are also really good, so it's always hard for me to decide. Their drinks are also yummy... the green tea and lemon aid mixed is a favorite and their iced coffee is good as well. My only complaint is that tables need to be bused more, esp when busy, but other than that, great work. read more

Wow! Talk about terrible and I Love Panera! I ordered the chipotle chicken panini with no cheese. Mind you this comes pressed and normally very warm, it came lightly toasted and ice cold, thrown together, no chicken on the one half of the sandwich. I understand I modified my order with no cheese and a different bread but I always do this at the Millenia location and I've never had an issue, so I sent it back, they remade it...with tons of cheese and tons of sauce where it was disgusting to even pick it up, I had to send it back again bc I don't eat cheese. I told the manager about the remake so he messed it up and said oh sorry I figured a normal one...I mean I gave it back to him so it wasn't hard to see...then 10 min later again came out my third attempt to go...kind you my husband already finished eating. This time I did ask for light sauce and idk if he even put any on it, I did eat half of it but it was so bland! All he offered me was a free cookie! I was so disgusted! Idk if I will ever go back to that location bc that's not good customer service. I am finally admitting that Panera no longer wants our business. They are consistently out, of all things, bread. Rye bread. It is impossible to have a ham and cheese on rye without having rye bread. 4 out of 5 times they have been out. That's just horrible planning on the staff. The French onion soup lacked flavor, a proper amount of cheese, and had no croutons. Period. The substitute of sourdough bread was not suitable, as the sourdough lacked flavor. All in all, my experience is poor at best. A shame some my family does enjoy going, but I won't be without some assurance of a better experience. read more

I used to work at a Panera years ago, and man, has the quality of food and presentation declined since then! How can they charge $10+ for a full sandwich when I can go to Publix (even Winn Dixie, but not Subway... hasn't quite declined to that yet) and get an infinitely better sandwich with better meat AND fresher ingredients for several dollars cheaper? It's not worth that. The soups are good but also not worth what they charge. Especially because it just comes in frozen on a truck. Also the Panera rewards is a ridiculous scam. I never have rewards on mine and their metrics are apparently secret and randomly distributed, which is pretty sketchy. To be fair, my star rating is not based on that because I realize that is not a location issue but Panera execs cheaping out. I gave 2 stars because half the time I have a good experience here, but usually not. I always have to double check my order or something will be forgotten, half the associates are nice, half the time the drive thru wait is interminably long, and less than half the time the food looks fresh and not sloppily slapped together like a McDonalds burger. read more

Ordered the chicken chipotle with a yogurt, waited 15 min, when I saw everyone getting their food after and beepers going off , I went to the counter and waited patiently for help, after standing at the counter where they serve food for 2 min, a guy from the register said that my foods been sitting there for 5 min! With out a call or a beep on my pager! I went to take my food and was cold, so not worth the wait so I went and got my refund . Let me start by saying I am a Panera fan however this location is bad. The staff are inexperienced and goofing off the entire time I was there which was about 2 hours from 2 till 4. The dining room and restrooms were dirty. I ordered broccoli cheddar soup and Napa chicken salad sandwich the food tasted fine but there was no care in the way it was served. Soup all over the plate. Arrived at 5:31 on Tuesday Jan 29th. The place was not busy bit really dirty. Not impressed. We ordered our food, the cashier acted like she really didn't want to be there. We have tried this twice since its recent opening. The first time we had several different sandwiches, soups and pastries to take home. Everything tasted fresh and pretty much like Panera is supposed to taste. However the second time we went, we were in the line next to the pastry/bread case. Inside the case we observed at least ten flies under the glass feasting on the goodies. Every time an employee grabbed a Danish or scone, we cringed knowing that some unsuspecting customer was about to eat something that had most likely been sampled by a fly or two. We mentioned to the girl about the flies, but she pretended not to hear us. Our order consisted of one sandwich to go and we haven't been back. If they can figure out how to keep the flies off the food, we will go back. read more

We were thrilled to finally have something other than Chili's and fast foods. At first the service and quality of food was great, but as months and years went by, the customer service and food quality went down the drain. It seems as if ever time they hire a great employee, they end up moving them to a different location. If you have a choice of going inside or ordering drive-thru, go inside! This location needs some serious work. Every single time my husband or I pick up food to go the order is never correct. The sandwich is always completely wrong. And the last time I went in the manager apologized and fixed it and still have it back to me incorrectly!
