Listen people if you enjoy waiting in a drive through line like your at Disney land this is the place for you. Food was pretty crap also.

We were there today, 5 people working, no indoor dining because of COVID-19. So we were basically the only customers. We had never been there before and did not know the ordering protocol. After struggling with the self order screen we managed to put in our order. Come to find out we could have ordered at the counter. All those employees, and no one greeted us, or told us how to order. When we got our food, it was very bland. Very little tuna on the sandwich. the lids on the soup weren't snapped on properly, so the soup was spilled in the bag. I think for the money we could have gotten take-out from another place and would have been treated much better. read more

This is the first time I've visited this location. I'm excited that it's a few short miles from my home and has a drive-thru. I ordered a chi tea latte and the asiago bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I got to the window and they stayed they were out of asiago bagels and asked to substitute for ciabatta bread. I told them that would be ok. My drink and sandwich were done quickly. I got home to find that they gave me a sausage sandwich and there was no cheese... I don't eat sausage simply because I don't like it. Hopefully this was a fluke. I'll try them again but eating a sandwich with only egg is pretty disappointing. I love Panera, but this location seriously blows. I've had terrible service every time I've been here. On one occasion, in addition to our main meal, I ordered two m&m cookies for my two kids. When our order was ready, I went up to grab everything. There was only one cookie. No big deal. Me: (Smiles, holds up cookie) Hi! I actually got two of these. Panera Bread Employee: Yeah, I know. We only had one left. **silence** Me: So, is there something else I can get? Or what other cookies do you have? Or..? **more silence** PBE: Did you just wanna get a different cookie instead? Here's an oatmeal raisin. (Hands me OR cookie.) Me: Do you have any chocolate chip? PBE: They all cost the same. (Gestures OR cookie back toward me). Me: Then I'd like a chocolate chip, please. Of all the unprofessional and discourteous things about that conversation, I was just astonished that we were all just gonna stand there and pretend like an OATMEAL RAISIN "cookie" is anywhere near comparable to an M&M cookie! Hmph! So another time... I walk in and it looked a little hectic in the back. There was a line waiting at the counter to order and there appeared to be only one employee working the register. I usually order at the self-service tablets due to timeliness and anti-socialbility, and that day was no different. I begin the whole little tablet process and an employee comes rollin on up on me, all up into my personal bubble. PBE: (100% friendly) Hi! Do you need any help ordering? Me: (also 100% friendly) No thanks! I got it! PBE: (stares at me) Me: (tries to keep ordering but gets more and more anxious and keeps messing up because PBE is standing 12 inches from the side of my face watching my every move.) PBE: If you need any help I'll be right here. Just ask. **continues to stand next to me watching me order, while the line up front grows and the employee behind the register grows visibly more overwhelmed** I finished ordering and before I can even blink, PBE grabs the little "your meal is ready" light up vibration thingy and places it in my hand. Now, look. Well-intentioned, I'm sure, but a total waste of man power being used in a "self-serve" concept. Also, PBE behind the counter was practically drowning while my personal space was being violated. So that covers the counter, the self serve, and now... the drive thru: So I pulled up to order... ... ... ... Me: Hello? ... ... ... Me: Hello?? ... ... ... PBE: Yeah hi! Sorry! We'll be right with you! Me: Ok thanks! ... ... ... ... ... ... ... PBE: Hi sorry for the wait. Me: That's alr- PBE: It'll be just a few more minutes ... ... ... (I can see the driver behind me getting more and more frustrated, and feel his eyes burning holes of aggression into the back of my head because he thinks I'm holding up the line.) ... ... ... ... ... (No exaggeration, approx. 4-5 minutes have collectively gone by) ... ... PBE: Ok what can I get for you? Me: I'd like 2 bowls of mac and cheese - both with dinner rolls as sides, one chicken and tortellini alfredo pasta whatever with French baguette, one bowl of broccoli cheddar soup with a French baguette, one whole-size green goddess Cobb salad, and a large iced green tea. Please. So, I drive up to the window, wait a few reasonable minutes, get handed my food, and I drive off. Well, 5 minutes down Smokey Hill, and I'm feeling parched, so I go to snag a sip of my iced green tea... but I didn't have it. I know, I should have checked before I drove off, but still - It wasn't given to me. Then I get home. I take out the food. The mac and cheeses were both given an apple as a side. The broccoli cheddar soup was a CUP, not a BOWL, and I paid for the bowl! The salad was a HALF size, not a WHOLE size, and I paid for the whole size! To top it all off, we were given no utensils or napkins or anything. Luckily, I was taking it home, but had I actually been taking it TO-GO somewhere, we'd have been totally screwed. All that being said, all of the employees I dealt with were adolescents. They were all polite, and appeared to be doing their best. My issue is not with them. It is with the management. Who is managing this establishment?? And who is training these kids? They are being set up for absolute failure. It's your fault they're clueless and careless! One star bc Panera is still yummy, and zero stars for whatever clown was put in charge of this location. read more

The service at this location is very slow. They often run out of the basics. I waited at least 15 minutes for a cup of tomato soup and 1/2 a grilled cheese sandwich. Both were lukewarm. The server apologized for the wait which she told me I was because they were waiting for someone to bring up more plates! There were dirty dishes everywhere and therefore limited places to sit. I have always loved Panera, but today I was quite disappointed. We ordered a melt sandwich and our chicken came out cold!! I said I would pull around so we didn't hold the line up anymore (because they forgot food the first time around) and we were told a manager would meet us outside. 5 min later nobody, so my friend who got the sandwich had to go inside and tell them the chicken was cold. Which was followed with an apology and a new sandwich. Which was expected and thanks for making the new sandwich. We were just very disappointed in our food today. :( read more

I won't go to this Panera. Like someone else stated...it's the worst of the Panera's in the Aurora/Denver area. Out of the three times I've dined/drive-thru'd here, I swear it's twice made me sick...and we are talking months and months apart(possibly years). I can't prove it but I just know. The Broccoli Cheddar soup always tastes bad. Like on the verge of rancid. Even the color is off! My father went today and he said the the same thing about the BC soup...without me even saying anything about it! The only plus is the bread is good. This location has actually turned me off of Panera. I'll go to the Arapahoe Crossing, Iliff-Peoria or Park Meadows locations before I go to this one. Sad. read more

My husband and I went through the drive-thru for breakfast sandwiches, and we were told breakfast ended 20 minutes ago. Of course, we were disappointed, but we knew it was our fault we didn't get there earlier. Due to hard times in general, because of the Coronavirus, the manager offered a one-time solution where he found the ingredients to make the two sandwiches we had tried to order. The sandwiches were delicious, and we really appreciate how the manager went the extra mile to prepare the breakfast sandwiches, especially when these past days have been more difficult, due to the virus. This is by far the worst establishment I have EVER been to! Honestly have tried to be fair to this Panera. But we will NOT return. I will NOT enter this Panera ever ever again. Drove to the window for two empty bread bowls and one Pepsi. After waiting for 10 minutes we called because we couldn't get their attention through the window. The gal that answered the phone (Kristy), said "oh, she's coring the bread bowls right now". Ok, so we wait. A few minutes later, girl we paid (name unknown) comes back to the window with one bowl (not cored) and becomes extremely rude. I couldn't contain the anger at this point. 10 minutes and you just found out you only had one bread bowl!? Wow. We asked for a manager. A young man comes with the rude girl. They just continue on like we are wrong. BUT, a few seconds later, they bring three bread bowls to the window! By this time we are fully confused and upset. Asked again for manager. Alex finally comes to the window. He attempts to resolve the issue and states that the girl working the window is new. No excuse. And if she's new, she should definitely not be rolling her eyes at customers. None of the employees should. Wow. I have never experienced such awful behavior at a food establishment. He finally poured my pepsi. I'm in disbelief that this behavior is even permitted. Goodbye Panera on Smoky Hill. You will never see me again. EVER. Take it from an avid Yelper, do not go here. I can't believe the prices on the menu for the amount of food you get. The Mac/cheese is a joke for over $8.00. Also if the manager of this store calls me "hun" one more time, I'm going to hit him with the bread they give you when you order a sandwich. It has been a few years since I ate at a Panera, but my daughter wanted to go there for her birthday lunch. I took her on a Monday and I really loathe the parking there first off. It was busy, but not crowded. There was no one in line at the kiosk or the front so we just ordered at the front. I ordered an overpriced chicken ceasar salad. The chicken was in thin slices like lunch meat, not like a chicken breast. And the chicken was cold. That is just gross. I will never go back and between my daughter and I it cost 25 dollars. Panera Bread has been one of my favorite places for salads, sandwiches, & soup. So I was thrilled when Panera opened a restaurant by where we live. However this location has gone from bad to worst. Orders are frequently wrong, such as salads missing part of the ingredients, or missing items completely. Not listening to my own advice we drove through the drive through, ordered a salad, Mac & cheese and sandwich. The sandwich was suppose to be a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato. Got a sandwich that was not grilled with tomato on one side a tiny amount of cheese on the other side, and the large mac & cheese was half filled. Really sad that can't get it together. read more

I am sitting in this Panera writing this view. I've had about 30 minutes to think about my experience as they've taken 30 minutes to take my order and put 2 Caesar salads in plastic containers. I stood in line for 10 minutes before ordering it myself on the iPads in the restaurant after being ignored. Then another 20 minutes for the preparation of my extremely complicated order of lettuce cheese and croutons. I'm honestly impressed at this point that it could take so long to dump lettuce into a container but they've figured it out. Maybe it's the fact they had to scoop dressing into tiny cups? I'm constantly disappointed with this location since they are frequently out of the basics. This must be a poor management issue since this happens more often than not. I honestly can't recall a single time in the last 10 visits here where they've not messed up at least one portion (if not many) of my order. I just called at 8:30am to reserve a sprouted grain roll for pickup later today and guess what...they don't have any. At 8:30 in the morning they don't have the sprouted grain rolls that they normally run out of in the early afternoon. "Why don't you have it?" I asked. BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER MADE LAST NIGHT was the reply. They absolutely suck. I'm ready to stop patronizing this location and maybe even all of Panera since management/corporate doesn't seem to care about so many of us dissatisfied customers. read more

Worst Panera i've ever been to. The first time I tried this location, they put tomatoes on my sandwich which i said i didn't want. I politely asked for a new one & the employee was nice and got me a new sandwich in about 10 minutes. I figured it was probably just a mistake so today i gave this location another chance. I came in today around 3pm with my boyfriend. They weren't very busy, maybe 2-3 other tables in the entire restaurant taken. Long story short, my pasta was cold, my frappuccino was disgusting & my boyfriends sandwich was not made the way he asked (he ended up getting tomatoes & no mayo). Again, we politely asked for new food as we had just spent $35 on crappy food. The man behind the counter was rude & almost seemed shocked that we couldn't just deal with it. About 15 minutes later we went back to the counter & saw our food just sitting there. Who knows how long it was there or how long they would have let it sit there before telling us it was ready (considering we didn't have a buzzer). Overall very upsetting. I ordered a ham and cheese on rye, with mayo. The mayo didn't cover a quarter sized area on the bread and wouldn't be enough to even spread around and cover the piece. This is the first time I have reviewed this specific Panera bread, but certainly not the first time I've received poor quality food there. I've went to this Panera about 20 times and I have yet to have one time where my food was correct. Great place if you like to go home and microwave your hot food because it all got cold while you were waiting for them to fix your food and then when you ask them about that they give you half of your hot items and so you get to go home and microwave the rest of it and add your own cheese and that kind of stuff that they won't do even though you ask. You can also experience the joy of a teenage girl playing with her hair and grabbing your bagels at the same time so you get to have the awkward conversation of asking for new bagels because it's disgusting read more

Arrived at 10:50 on a Sunday morning. "Children" in front of us didn't have enough money-so cashier waited for them to bring in more. WELL---guess what? By the time the cashier was ready to take our order, they'd stopped serving breakfast. Hey-you should at least 1) close the order if they didn't have the money-make them order again when they do; OR 2) take care of the customers who have been patiently waiting in line who got their BEFORE 11:00. So we wait in line-and at precisely 11:00-regardless of who has been waiting-they switch to lunch. The response? "We're sorry. We aren't serving breakfast any longer." One of the worst Panera's around. I ordered soup and a large salad to go. The salad wasn't even close to being half full. I always asks for extra dressing as the two you get are barely a quarter of the way full. I have been told to go to Target and buy a bottle if I want more. I frequent this location and have felt disappointed recently. I had a pickup order not long ago in which I ordered a bread bowl for my soup and I did not realize until I got to work that they did not include the bread bowl. Okay, my fault for not checking, but the order was a bread bowl. I did drive thru recently and my order was correct. When I got home, however, my chipotle chicken sandwich had 2 long brown strands of hair in it, which is just gross. I have a toddler and going back was not convenient that night. Today I went for lunch and ordered the same thing. The chicken was ice cold and there was barely any avocado on it. I asked them to remake it for me, which they did, and the second sandwich was warmed (I watched them put it in the oven) and the chicken was not ice cold, but still cold. I talked to one of the employees whom kind of apologized and said they could look into a refund or pastry item today to make it right. I declined that as they remade the sandwich, I just feel they need to be aware that the product seems to be declining, especially for a business that has high standards (or at least markets themselves that way). For faster food it is not the cheapest, I just want good quality food. read more

Ordered at the drive through where I waited in a 20 minute line only to drive up and find out they gave my order to the customer in front of me along with their order. Wtf. Then they tell me to park in rapid parking and it will be out in 2 minutes. Wait another 20 minutes to then have to go inside to ask them what is going on. They hadn't even made it and they had given away the last bread bowl (even though I had ordered it) to the person who ended up with my order. We've been here twice now and both experiences were bad. We used to visit the Panera by our old house and always had great service. We sat at the drive through speaker for five minutes and nobody asked to take our order. We drove around and got back in line and the drive through attendant was very rude!! I love Panera but do not care for this location. I much prefer the location off of Arapahoe near Target. During my last visit to the Smokey Hill store, I could see flies in the kitchen area, which appeared to be in need of a wipe down from my vantage point in the takeout waiting area. I could overhear the kitchen staff discussing the drama of their school day. The drink station was out of lids and was in need of some TLC (soda splatter all over the place, etc). To management / owner: Recommend you talk to you staff and reinforce expectations for cleanliness and professionalism. Panera has always been a favorite of mine. I even frequent a location in Washington DC when on business travel. That said, this location is by far the least organized and most messy I've visited. I hope my observations are due to this being a new location with new staff... that said, you've been open for a few months now. Corrections are needed. read more

I've gone to this Panera several times since it's newer opening. I understand that when they were brand new they were still getting everything down, like not running out of drink cups or having bags for the drive-thru. But yesterday I went at 8:00 pm-ish. Car in front of me in drive-thru. Then my turn. No one answers, for like 5 minutes. I finally say, "hello?" and someone comes on and takes my order. At the window, they never ask me to pay. There are 8 people in the back, mostly just hanging around not doing much of anything. Some on their phones. (Oooo that's my food you touch after you're on your phone.) I even hear them discussing who is going to make my salad. Girl hands me my food after forever. I ask the girl did you want me to pay? She looks at me and goes, "oh, well ya." Never gives me an amount. I ask, "do you want my Panera card?" She replies, "sure." It was like I had to lead her through the entire process. I thought maybe they were really busy inside. When i drove by, all I could see was more Panera employees inside. No customers. So slow service with many, many employees who are clearly not well-trained. Food is inconsistently prepared based on the 10+ times I've been there. All the things that should have been worked out when you're new should have been worked out by now. Love Panera.
