The ambience is the same as all the other Panera's no different. I ordered dessert, pastries, and I specifically asked if everything was in the bag in correct, they chuckled and said yes it is no it wasn't. Bathrooms have pink mold in the toilets, there's a steam of dark urine down the front of the toilet, and where the sink meets the wall is a layer of crust. There's something inside of me that just doesn't want to like Panera, but I can't help it. Our little family of four stopped in after visiting a local carnival. It was hot. We were tired. And we were hungry. What I don't like is the price. $40 for a salad, a sandwich, a basic pizza, and one drink. The volume of food isn't impressive. But once it was ready it was delicious and hit the spot. This location was also pretty quiet for a Sunday night, and it felt pretty clean. One older staff member came by to chat about our kids and it felt so warm and friendly. I have never had a good experience with this Panera on route 23 in Butler. So sad because there are limited food choices in this area. My order has been wrong several times, only realizing once I get home, many times, they are completely out of many food items- even at 5 o'clock when the dinner hour is about to start. Seemed really new. The staff was present, and they had the check in kiosks and pickup windows, which limited interaction. The tables outside could've used a wipe down, though, lots of leftover food crumbs and such on the tabletops. Bacon egg and cheese was solid and the tea wasn't too sweet. Plenty of parking. Honestly, the most disgusting Panera I've ever been to. Bathrooms were wet and sticky everywhere and dusted in something that looked like dirt mixed with dried feces, even in both sinks. The prep area didn't look much better from what I could see. Place looks like no one has cleaned it in weeks. I ordered a Napa almond chicken salad sandwich and Fuji apple salad. We don't have many food options here in Kinnelon, and while I'd rather see more locally owned places, at least we're starting to see some new businesses pop up here so we don't have to drive 20-30 minutes anytime we want an easy and quick option for takeout (that isn't fast food). Hopefully more businesses will take notice and follow! I haven't had Panera in years, only because I'm not a huge sandwich or soup person. Needed a quick option one night, so I decided to give it a try. I remember I used to order their chipotle chicken sandwich, and I saw it on their menu now, although it looked a bit different than the one I used to get years ago. I ordered half a chipotle chicken avocado melt, and because I've heard good things about their mac n cheese, I decided to give it a try. To go with the carb overload theme, I got a baguette as a side to enjoy in the morning for breakfast the next day. I really enjoyed the chipotle chicken avocado melt. The changes they made to this sandwich were the right move - the new bread (peppered focaccia) and addition of avocado really elevated this sandwich. It was flavorful, the avocado was fresh, chicken was tender, just the right amount of spicy, and the whole thing was a winner. Will definitely be back for this. I was disappointed in the mac and cheese. The pasta shells were overcooked so they were mushy. And I just wasn't a fan of the cheese sauce. It's a more of a thick soup-like consistency, rather than a cheese sauce. And the flavor just wasn't there for me. The baguette was much better than I remember their baguettes in the past - it tasted very fresh with a nice crust and soft interior. Really enjoyed this as well. I ordered on their website for inside pick-up. Took me about 10 minutes to get there after placing my order, and everything was ready to go on the pick-up rack when I got there. This was the first and last time I will visit this Panera's. I was on the app and was told my order was ready. I did the curbside pickup. However I had to wait 8 minutes to receive my order. Then the girl who brought it to my car was not a very pleasant person at all. I order a 16 oz. smoothie. I received a 10 oz. cup that was only filled with 8 oz. of smoothie. I measured it when I got home. I also didn't receive the honey walnut cream cheese I ordered and paid for. The receipt said if the order is incorrect call and speak to a manager. This location just can't seem to get it together. They are always out of something .. iced coffee, hot coffee, creamer .. the service is excruciatingly slow and the food is never made accurately. Hot coffee is never HOT, there is almost always grinds in the bottom of the coffee cup and you have to ask for a cup and they are usually too busy and you almost always have to wait just to get a cup. Customer service is non-existent and there is never a friendly greeting or parting remark which shows no appreciation for their clients. Horrible service, takes forever to get an order, I have found hair in my food multiple times, when asked for a new order I was denied. When I get salads the lettuce is brown, and when I tried their chicken sandwich, there was mold on the bread. The food is not fresh, it tastes like it is stored for days, not to mention overpriced. They would not refund, or give me credit. Just a horrible experience overall with horrible customer service, I would not recommend this Panera in Butler to anyone. I will never go back here again. Dear Panera, rating should have been "No Star", when a customer orders and says,"I would like to order (2) Fuji Apple Chicken Salads w/ soup", they should receive (2) Salads w/ (2) soups, not (2) Salads and (1) soup. Then when you drive home and open up the tapped up bag and find out your other soup is missing, it pretty much deteriorates your experience really quick. One would think those who charge $34.83 for (2) bowls of lettuce and (1) bowl of soup would not only spend 2-seconds to verify the order makes sense, but is fulfilled correctly. This order could not have been easier to fulfill, (2) of the same things, but somehow they had no problem getting it wrong. How distracted, incompetent, or complacent are your employees and management. The salads were okay, and the soup was good, but the whole time eating it I couldn't help to think that I was eating $34.83 of lettuce and overpaid Panera couldn't even get my order correct. My one visit there was extremely disappointing. I ordered a chicken poppyseed salad, and it took me at least 30 minutes to get what I had asked for. The staff was incredibly rude to me when I politely asked how much longer it would be, and I could hear the manager yelling at her employees. The overall cleanliness of the location was extremely lacking, especially the bathrooms looking like they hadn't been cleaned for at least a month. After receiving my dinner order I got in my car and headed home. I peaked in the bag a bit because I knew they sometimes forget things. The bag however was taped shut with a sticker and already ripping so I did not check throughly enough. BIG mistake, got home missing my daughters food. I called 3 times and no one answered. THEY NEVER ANSWER! I went back to the locations to request my missing food and be compensated for their error and my inconvenience. The manager stated all he could do was "give" me my soup or a refund. I told him your not giving me anything because I paid for the soup and you forgot to give it to me. At the end I left with the soup and nothing to recognize they were at fault. They cost me gas money, time and a cold meal. I tried very hard to cook at home and lately eating out is a luxury for us and many families. Its very disheartening to spend over $40 on take out to then deal with so much and not even enjoy your meal. After a long day of teaching, I decided to pick up dinner at the new Panera on Rt. 23 North in Butler. I usually use the drive through, but tonight I decided to go inside and order there. Upon entering, there were people ordering from the kiosks, so I decided to go right to the counter. Several staff members, including a female manager, were standing to the doorway of the kitchen listening to a male employee go on and on about some issue he had with a friend. He was pacing back and forth behind the counter, gossiping very loudly with another employee, Alisan, (I got her name from the receipt because no one had name tags on) and waiting for his own dinner to be brought out to him. After several minutes, Alisan approached the register and said "What can I get you?" I proceeded to give my order, and the entire time, she continued socializing and gossiping with the other staff members! Yelling back towards the kitchen and laughing at something that had nothing to do with my order. When I went to pay, I handed her a $100 dollar bill. Alison's response was "We only take exact change!" My response was, "Really? You don't have enough change to break $100 on a nearly $50 order?" I then gave her the bill and the fifty-two cents so that she could give me the correct cash from the drawer. The money was slapped into my hand and then she walked away. When I finally got home after waiting for what seemed like forever and overhearing inappropriate work chat, I noticed that we were missing small parts of the order, like salad dressing, chips, napkins etc. and the majority of the meal was ice cold! (I only live two minutes up the street). And upon looking at my change when I got home, Alisan did not give the correct amount of singles that are required when you give $100. 52 and expect $47 back. The service was horrendous! The food was cold, and my exhausted teacher body just wanted to have someone else cook for me tonight and maybe be kind while I was waiting patiently for my order. read more

This Paneras is a nightmare. They are constantly out of something. Many times it is bread. The staff is terrible. There is no management. Not sure if this is a corporate owned Panera or a private owner, either way this place won't be in business long at the rate they are going. The one long haired male preparer thinks he knows it all. Believe me he does not. He is arrogant and by no way a people person. His customer service stinks. I have always liked Panera. Not anymore. The prices are way too high to deal with poor service and constant outages as well as arrogant workers. My time is valuable.
