The food was absolutely delicious from appetizers to main meal. The restaurant was clean and a warm presentation. The General Manager was so accommodating. We had an excellent experience thanks to our waiter, Ryan. He was genuinely attentive, knowledgeable, and provided outstanding service throughout our visit. Ryan went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and made us feel well looked after the entire time. He also took the time to clearly explain how to sign up for the restaurant's reward points program, making sure we didn't miss out on any benefits. That extra attention to detail really stood out. Imagine sinking your teeth into a lunchables pizza. After you bite through the cracker you begin to notice the lack of flavor and plastic "cheese" blending together into a bite anyone who's ever consumed quality pizza would have to choke down. The only difference with Anthony's is that at Anthony's you don't get a piece of candy with your cracker, ketchup, and cheese mix. From the three bites I gagged down I wasn't sure if I was eating pizza or voluntarily cracking my teeth so I could pay for my dentist's next vacation from all the work I'd have to pay him for from how overcooked their "pizza" was. It's not them, its me. I had a meeting in the city and the pizza place I'd selected to try was closed so instead of going downtown I figured I'd try and be healthy and go home and eat a salad. As I was driving down route 23 I remembered I'd always seen Anthony's but never gone, and now I know why. I've driven by this place for five years straight but never felt the draw to go in. Somehow I managed to find pizza in central Vietnam, Mexico, Hong Kong, and random red neck worlds in Virginia but the place right under my nose never drew me in and now I'm so apologetic for not trusting my pizza radar in my own backyard. The cherry to the sundae is their menu shows your traditional circular pies with 6 or 8 slices and then a square version. I ordered the 6 slice (round pie) Margherita and was given the cracker square pie. After being served I told the waitress I ordered the 6 slice pizza and she said that that was how they cut their 6 slice pizza - in 8 slices. In an effort not to insult the girl I paused, bit my tongue, and then she followed up by asking if what she served me was ok. Again, having to take a breath to not call her an uncivilized term, I replied that it was fine but its not what I ordered. Last thing I needed was whatever special ingredients they add for customers who actually speak up when their staff make mistakes. Then in a hilarious gaslighting move she asks if I want her to make a new pizza in a flustered tone like I'm causing a problem. I still left the poor girl a tip because even though she is clueless in customer service, it's really management's fault for not training her correctly. It doesn't matter if it's the day shift on a Wednesday, any competent management should uphold the same standards and accountability as they would for a Friday night shift. I love outdoor/indoor bars but even the diviest bar I've been to that sells bar pizzas is better than this place because you don't have to risk breaking a tooth while you eat it. It's been a while since I've been to an Anthony's Coal Fired and I actually forgot how good it is. I used to regularly go to the Clifton and Livingston locations which have both closed. First off. The wings are "state of the art". They are coal oven roasted which gives them a perfect char and a naturally smoky flavor. No grease! Get them with the sautéed onions and you can't go wrong. We also got an order of meatballs which are outstanding as well. The marinara sauce is well balanced, fresh and flavorful. For the pizza we ordered a basic sausage pie. The sausage and sauce are top notch. However, the pizza could have used a few more minutes in the oven as the crust was a bit doughy and didn't have any brick oven char. The service was fast. Almost too fast, and very friendly. We ate outdoors. But the indoor area looks pretty nice for a pizza spot. I will definitely be back for those wings again soon. People waited at the door for a table which there were 4 tables empty Some were seated but no staff came to take their order which they got up & left .. I used to be a frequent customer here when Liz C was the manager years ago. Over the last few years your new management have been beyond horrible. We went there again last night hoping it would be good for a Friday night and I have to say, this would be our last time going. It took forever to get us seated. Your new manager was too busy behind the bar flirting with the girls drinking all night. Every single table was filthy because your bus boy sat in the corner and was just texting and a few girls tried wiping the tables with water which just left the table sticky. The table behind us and next to us had food all over it because no one wants to clean. A few more people walked in and started asking if they should just sit themselves because your manager doesn't step up and do anything. Unfortunately the families couldn't sit because the tables were too dirty. It's unreal. We ordered the large Margherita pie and wow, there was no seasoning, barely any sauce and just slices of cheese placed on top. The entire basil leaf was just thrown on top. What do you want us to do, eat the entire leaf itself? The dough seemed undercooked that cardboard would have tasted better. There's never any salt and pepper on the tables. We ordered the wings with garlic Romano sauce. Just a tip but you should put the wings in a colander to lightly coat the sauce with the wings. Instead, the sauce was poured all over the wings making it a sloppy mess and we each had one napkin to work with and no hand wipes until we asked. The only thing promising were the meatballs. Also, shouldn't we get new plates when the pizza comes out? We didn't. My husband had to use his plate covered in meatball sauce and wing sauce because our waitress was behind the bar as well. Liz C was the best. I remember when mini apps were passed around on Wednesday nights. Place was incredible and Liz loved that place like it was her own. Found this spot on the website Fido since I happened to take my dog out that day and we were getting hungry. Loved that they are dog friendly. It was a beautiful weather day and sat outside. Service was quick and kind, I didn't catch their names but it was two gentlemen taking care of everyone in the establishment. I forgot to take a picture of the pizza but we ordered a margarita pizza and it was delicious! The wings, were burnt so I only ate one. My family ate the rest. The Caprece salad was delicious. Very balsamic forward but good. The highlight was the drink. It's a gin limoncillo basil drink (I forgot to write down its name but it's one of the new drinks) and it was delicious! This store is like night and day to the Livingston location. We had a decent meal a few months ago in Livingston so we went back and it was horrible. After shopping on 23 and getting hungry, and wanting a low key place for a good meal and drink we decided to risk it and try this location. What a gem! The staff was pleasant and friendly without being obnoxiously so. The place was busy but they got us seated quickly and were fast with our drink orders and we never had to look for staff. The food was very good. The meatballs were round (sauce could have been a bit hotter) and the eggplant was good. The pizza was served quick and delicious. The wings were good. I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. What I saw today was awful! Arrived 4pm, the bar was filthy, asked the bartender to please wipe and disinfect. The silverware was not clean. Ordered the Happy hour meatballs, arrived lukewarm....the little triangle toast was stale. asked for a to go container, they gave me the cardboard box, asked for the plastic one and I was told they are not allowed to use them. Have been here a handful of times. The service was terrible and the food was not as good as it has been previously. Our server took entirely too long to greet us, walked past our table multiple times before getting to us. There were 2 other tables in the place and another waiter too. Was very impersonal when greeting us and seemed annoyed to be doing so. Drinks took longer that they should have, 10 mins for a lemonade for a child? And bar drinks were longer. The pizza was flavorless. We sat with empty drinks while our server sat with his back to his tables and ate. There's no reason to neglect tables like that, and you especially should not be eating during typical dinner rush hours. I've been here a few times for pizza even though they don't have any vegan options. The pizza is really good and so are the wings, even though it seems weird to put onions on wings to me. The coal fire gives the pizza a great taste. The pies are cooked well done. When we came here, there was nobody at the door to greet or seat us for a bit which caused a little confusion, but once we sat, the sever was very attentive and efficient which made up for it. All the other pies that were coming out for other customers were also burnt. Every one. Additionally, the cauliflower on the pizza was great but they covered it with some sort of spicy pepper or something that made it very hard to eat. It was expensive and we threw out most of it. Went for lunch after a long day's hike. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza (ACFP) has spaced out tables for outside dining and an outdoor bar with spaced out chairs. COVID-19 safety approved. We sat outside and had our dog with us. The waitress brought her an ice cold bowl of water before taking our drink order. Bonus points for serving the doggy. We ordered the Italian chicken sandwich and a Cauliflower Pizza with mozzarella and garlic. The pizza came out coal fired and well done, just the way I enjoy it. Pizza was exceptionally good yesterday. Our server, Chelsea, was friendly and courteous. Love the atmosphere.

We are big fans of this place.... Their pizzas are usually great. Our favorite used to be the Paulie with sweet peppers, until we discovered how awesome their margarita is. We ordered half plain half with sweet peppers, mushrooms, and pepperoni. I will say we ordered the same pie once from Wayne and once from Fair Lawn, much better in Wayne. ( just Sayin). And before I forget, you have to ask for extra basil on the plain side it's just that much better Their large house salad is always fresh, of course how long could it last if you take it home, we get that. I will say last time we order from Wayne, we were disappointed that there were no eggs in it. Their original wings are quite decent and always ask for extra onions & last but not least for whatever reason they have awesome cheesecake you must take a piece home. Of course, eating there is always better and taste fresher but I still always good to take out. I love this Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza because of the seating area outside. My boyfriend and I came here to enjoy a pizza with a few beers. We ordered the Paulie's Pizza and oooh wee. The hot peppers are no joke! You might as well ask them to not put them on. The waiter is not joking when he says hot! We thought, eh we'll just take it off if spicy, and we had to do just that. Arrived here at 5:30 p.m. for a late lunch early dinner with coworkers. 1000 were greeted who were told to seat ourselves at a table that had already been pre named for the wait staff. Waitstaff was very prompt very friendly and helpful but the menu she asked how we would like our entrees to come out with appetisers. She was very intensive. We ordered the cauliflower pizza half with Margarita. I had a Margarita drink or worker had a widespread sir both were delicious garlic knots work to die for as well as wings. I ordered the cauliflower pizza today and it was fantastic. Loaded with cauliflower that's moist and sprinkled with breadcrumbs. It's a good sized pizza, a little expense at $9 but you're paying for the food and the atmosphere. Go to a small, non-fancy local pizzeria if you don't want to pay $9 for a personal pie. The bread triangles that came with the meatballs were even harder. Threw that away first. The meatballs were really good and heated up well. Let me start with I love Anthony's CF Pizza. My fav pizza by far. My lower rating is for this particular location. They don't clean the tables after a party is done until the next party will come sit so dirty tables just sit waiting many times. You walk in, no hostess or someone to greet you so you stand awkwardly at the door til someone comes from the back. Good for what it is, a casual pizza spot with a good selection of tasty pizzas and a bar. The remainder of the menu is pretty limited. How places still manage to get a liquor license in Wayne is beyond me but I was thankful for their $2 Peroni "game day" drafts on the Sunday we went. They also have 1/2 price craft beers on Mondays & Tuesdays. Outdoor seating in Wayne is a bonus, even if it's right on the parking lot. We sat outside on a cool, clear early September night and we enjoyed it. We watched the sun set over Party City across the other side of Route 23... Romantic. We had a 1/2 broccoli & sausage and 1/2 white pie. Both were tasty and satisfying. We tried a small order of their famous meatballs - they were good, but not as good as my homemade balls ;) The inside dining room seems really loud, based on the acoustics of the room Give it a try, especially on a night they have drink specials.
