This is the second time I have ordered a sandwich from Drive Thru and the experience was as disappointing this time as the last. 1) The wait is long, 2) I asked for 1 sandwich and got 2 3) When I told them I only ordered 1 the guy who made it in the kitchen started to crib about how they will have to throw it. Not my problem Buddy! Next time pay attention! 4) I could see the same guy and another colleague play around while ppl waited for their food in a line behind me. 5) The sandwich was terrible. I asked for Tomato mozzarella flatbread. I like it without the pesto and tomato sofrito. They put a teensy piece of mozzarella that was hanging out of the sandwich from 2 corner. The worst Panera I have ever been to. The food was terrible, very low quality. The employees were clueless. The restaurant looks to be in disarray. We sat outside and no one had cleared the dirty dishes all day. There were bugs flying around. Completely gross. Will never go back and I usually love Panera. This is the worst Panera I have ever gone to. Wish I'd had time to read the reviews, but I was hungry and needed a "healthy" drive through. I ordered the peach-blueberry smoothie & it came out almost an inch short of the he fill line. When I pointed it out to the attendant, he commented that it looked short to him too but said he'd made it up to "spec" and didn't offer to redo it. I ordered the apple turkey half sandwich & quinoa salad (2/2) ; sandwich was soggy, small & unappetizing; salad greens were yellow & wilted. Do yourself a favor & skip this place. No surprise that this is a 2 star location. On multiple occasions they will leave something out of our large order, frequently the fruit cup that we pay extra for, or sometimes the cookie. Then we don't discover it until we get home. Then they expect us to come back and get it rather than a refund. Very clever scam they are running. Tuna salad without bread is very similar to brown slime. Taste is OK. Red onion pieces, four tomato slices on a bed of lettuce. Served in a bowl. You will also get bread, chips, or an apple. $6.99. Soda $2.39 Free refills. Cup of French Onion soup. $5.19. Includes bread, chips, or an apple. This is the worst onion soup that I have ever had. My issue is with the service, not the food we received. We stopped in last night to pick up some muffins and pastries to have for breakfast. We went right to the counter where the pastries are while the cashier stayed at the register. Did not offer any assistance until we asked. We ordered three pumpkin muffins and two pecan rolls. Didn't notice how she packaged them until we got home and opened the bag. Three muffins thrown in the bottom of the bag, unwrapped, and two boxes of rolls on top of the muffins. Although not absolutely necessary, a smile and a thanks from the cashier would have been appreciated. When we pulled out of the parking lot, we noticed that she was resting her head on the register. Perhaps she was tired or not feeling well. If so, management should have sent her home. read more

I'm commenting specifically on their delivery service. I've ordered twice for home delivery, and both times items were wrong and /or missing. The check-off sheet they supposedly use to verify correctness and completeness of your order is a joke .. items are checked off but not there, and the "order checked by" line is left blank. I agree with another poster that the management appears to be the problem. After calling immediately to report our order being short, I was told BY THE MANAGER ON DUTY that an appropriate credit would be given. It never appeared. And when I contacted corporate Customer Service some days later, they confirmed a credit /refund was never put through. They made it better, but obviously the Arboretum site is a problem. My advice: go up the road another couple miles toward Matthews and use the Panera near Target. read more

This was a good place to eat when they first opened but it has gone down the drain. The last two times I got food from this location the order was wrong. One item was left out each time and the last time the toasted cheese sandwich for my granddaughter was so hard she could not bit into it and the cheese was so thin you could hardly tell they put cheese on. For $4.99 you would think they could put a little more cheese on it. The order had been quality checked but not signed each time and when I returned to the restaurant the person said O we are so sorry but it did not sound very genuine. WOW!! Unbelievable.... I'm done with this location. It's the worst I've ever experienced. Today was the last. Sara at drive through took my order. While handing her may credit card I started to say my number. She didn't ask either. She put her finger up and said wait. After that she walked off and fixed my oatmeal. Another employee walked up and stop to talked to Sara while looking at me. Sara's back was turned. The other employee then took my order from Sara abs handed it through the drive through window. No receipt and walked off. I parked and walked in. I asked for manager. Took awhile for her come. Another front end employee walked up and asked what happened. I told her. She then looked surprised and said "the white girl? I said her name is Sara. Judy the manger finally came out. I explained to her what happened. She was very rude looking, careless ,nonchalant and her body language said it all. She asked what did I need. I told her to give me my receipt and corporate number. She said the corporate number on the website and I had a n amount of time to get my receipt. Any other time I'm waiting 20-35 minutes and order is always wrong. This Panera is so close to our home, and we usually have such good experiences at other Panera restaurants, that we keep giving this location a "second chance." Over and over and over, even though we know better by now. The order is going to be wrong so you have to check it; it's not going to be ready when they said it would be ready, so leave extra time before you go to pick it up, etc. etc. But now the quality of the food is reaching downright disgusting levels. This makes me really sad, because I think Panera Bread Co. as a business is trying to do all of the right things in terms of clean food and quality ingredients. Unfortunately, this location has employees who couldn't care less. Just for laughs, compare the picture of my son's "Italian sandwich" from tonight with the picture of that item on the web menu. And not only that -- the arugula was browning, limp and mushy. One piece of provolone only, and the shredded piece of ham looks like something they tossed into the trash at a deli counter. There was a tiny eighth of an inch of food slapped on, filling up only the center third of a large piece of bread. Maybe the bagels and coffee are still ok, but Sorry, Panera Bread Co., this location has FINALLY done enough to lose this very patient and tolerant customer's business. read more

This Panera has serious issues. They never get the order made properly. Last night we got grilled cheese sandwiches and they were not even cooked nor melted. They were cheese sandwiches! Just awful. We went through the drive thru so we called them and they sent the delivery driver home so they couldn't even fix it. My husband ordered a soup bowl and got a cup of soup. The manager could have cared less. I will not go back to this location ever again. The past 5 times we have gone have all been disasters. read more

I frequent this location. The past few times have been disappointing. The half Asian chicken salad has become very skimpy! It's more like a quarter salad. Disorganized behind the counter. Gave me a water glass when I ordered iced tea. Forgot to hand me my table number. Everyone in there is just doing a job and as a customer, I'm interrupting their time. I love this Panera. Location is very convenient to my house and it's in the middle of a huge shopping plaza. I've always had a great experience and everyone has been very friendly. Food is always fresh and the place always looks very clean. The patio is my favorite. Huge thumbs up! I disagree with some comments below about the drive thru and I think it's ridiculous to compare it to Chick-fil-a or McDonald's drive thru. In the end of the day - you're getting a fresh product that is made right there in front of you vs waiting 30 seconds to get a frozen old sandwich that has been sitting in the fridge for days. If all you care is how cheap and fast your meal is then you really are better off at Chick-Fil-A or McDonald's. Quality food takes a little longer to make. I'm a huge Panera fan, and the Arboretum Panera is by far my favorite. They also deliver too!!! Keep up the great work! read more

This Panera restaurant has both atmosphere and good food. The workers are always courteous and wanting to please the customer. Today I ordered a "agave lemonade" but forgot to say I wanted it frozen. I was given an agave lemonade AND a frozen lemonade even though the mistake was mine. My sandwich and salad were just as I expected it to be, and the pecan roll for my son was great. This location has a issue with serving 1/2 salads and whole salads. I had noticed prior that the whole salad is about the same size as a half salad. Today I was with a friend and he ordered 1/2 and I ordered whole. Yes mine came in a larger bowl... but I had much more bowl showing than his 1/2 salad. I pointed at my salad and he said exactly what I was thinking. The salads appear in every way to be the same size. I sent a message to the web site after I left, and the response that came was the nuttiest response I have ever seen. The person kept saying refer to the link on the menu for calories and portion size. I said you are not answering my question. I said my question is why is the portion appearing to be the very same size as the 1/2 salad. I totally did not have double the content nor double the calories. I can do simple math. 2 1/2's make a whole. 1/2 and perhaps at most slightly more lettuce if any more at all does not make a whole. You guys suck so I will choose to dine elsewhere. I don't know if all locations are this bad or not. This is the only location I have ever eaten. I normally have lunch at your location 1 or 2 times a month, for over the last year. I just recently got the Panera Rewards Card. Anyway I will toss that in the trash. Your prices are too high to not give a proper size whole salad when that is what the customer orders. Panera...with a DRIVE THROUGH!! Love it, I have always been a fan of Panera, but now that we have one right down Providence from my house with a drive through, Well, wonders never cease. How nice to be able to get hot soup or a Panini or even a Green Tea in your car. I was there last night for a Meeting which I hosted. Internally it is a small restaurant compared to some of the other ones locally. But the flavor and friendly employees are all still there. Outstanding customer service at the counter - they bring you your food at this establishment. The only thing that I disagreed with is that it closes at 9:00PM and I went to the counter at 8:45 and they had already packed up in huge plastic bags almost every loaf of their bread, now the great thing is they give it to the local homeless shelters but I did want to purchase some myself and I think if they just could have left a few loaves on the shelf! So it is a great addition to the Arbo, Try it..swing by and use the Drive-thru !! read more

Never got the chance to eat or even order food because I slipped and fell in their bathroom when the automatic light did not come on. Corp (Travelers insurance) said they don't doubt that I fell and that I incurred bruising injuries to my back and arm ( and a dry cleaning bill for a suit for what was ever on the floor) but they will not be held liable. Not liable because "it has never been reported to have happened before". What?! Did I hear them right. She agreed it happened, in their store, but they are not liable because I was the first? Crazy!!! They have lost a patron for life over a dry cleaning bill for a suit ($15). So if you choose to visit Panera Bread, please be cautious as you enter the restrooms and immediately report any lighting issues or you may find yourself staring at the ceiling while lying on your back in a puddle of God knows what! read more

I was excited to have a drive thru Panera near our home, especially for on the go healthy breakfast options. However, while the food is terrific, the staff here is dreadfully slow. On a recent, non-busy visit through the drive-through for two breakfast sandwiches and a coffee, the wait took nearly 10 minutes.
