There was a bit of a wait just for a salad but I do appreciate that the food was made to order. Weekday afternoon, I just wanted a light lunch and didn't want anything that would require leftovers because I was staying in a hotel. I ordered the "side salad" which is about a half size of the normal salad, and it was just the right portion for lunch. The staff at the register was really helpful when I asked questions about the salads. I really liked the peppercorn ranch dressing. They have a cool hot sauce bar with a large selection. There was a list of the hot sauces and descriptions at my table and even some suggested sandwich/hot sauce pairings. More places should have a hot sauce bar! After sitting in the tattoo chair for a good 8+ hours and another full session in the morning, I needed a solid, delicious, and quick dinner (more or less healthy) and breakfast for the morning. There's a ton of parking in the front which was great because it was raining when I visited. The store was clean and empty, not very well lit. The employee making my sandwiches was pretty quick and she was friendly. I ordered two of their largest sized sandwiches and customized them on the app. I asked for olives on both and well, I received 3.5 slivers on one sandwich. I don't know if they ran out or what but man, it was a bummer for sure! I usually ask for extra extra olives on my sandwiches wherever I go so when I saw the 3.5 on one, it was such a let down. The rest of the order was correct and I loved that she was generous with the mayo and mustard. It's like the sloppy Joe lady in Billy Madison when she says, "I made them extra sloppy for you!" I was given the wrong sub despite the ticket having my name and order details on it and it had pork on it. I have Crohn's and cannot eat pork(ham)- to add insult to the injury Christian the "manager" at the store could be heard talking about me in the background while placing me on hold after I was told to "just come back" mind you I am 31 minutes away from that specific location. I asked them to just process a refund & you'd think it was an act of congress to get that done. As of the date of this review, I haven't STILL seen a refund or apology. I stopped in this location while holiday shopping. I seldom come to this part of town. This experience pretty much met my expectations for Firehouse Subs. The restaurant appeared clean. They have a 98.0 sanitation grade posted. The dining area was tidy. The drink area was clean. The restroom was neat. The employees were friendly.They got our orders correct and got the food out in a timely manner. I even got a free drink for checking in there from the app! The food was good as usual. My only complaint was there were no napkins in the napkin holders. Someone finally brought some out after we were seated. They have a self-serve drink machine with many flavors to chose from. MANY of the flavors didn't work because the machine needed to be serviced and refilled. They had to go to the back to get cups. I would go back. I love a good sandwich, and Firehouse delivers a good one. To get to the 4 and 5 stars there would need to be some upgraded flavors and freshness of bread and veggies, but a 3/5 isn't bad. It's a solid lunch when you need a carbalicious hug. I like that I was able to add different vegetables to my sandwich, which is why I went with Firehouse when trying to decide what I wanted for lunch on this particular day. The sandwich was freshly made, though some of the onions were that tough, skin type onion that shouldn't make it to the food. The bread is good, but not top of the line. Service was very very slow. I always go to firehouse around NC and south, I would say this is the slowest Firehouse sub I have EVER been to. It took me about 50 mins to get my sub and when I got it, it was very poorly made. Food allergies are a myth here - which would be nice, except those of us who actually have them need our food to be handled safely. First off - the employees have a perpetual IDGAF attitude. I always inform the cashier that I am gluten free and have an allergy to gluten. While they advertise is it not a guaranteed gf meal, they genuinely do not care. There is no glove change and they're using the same condiments that were just used for a standard wheat sandwich. I literally have not had an experience here where I haven't had to suffer from their negligence. Once I even had meatball remnants on my sub. I've reached out via app to no avail each time. I decided after not coming to this location for a year to give another try - boy was that stupid. Grabbed a quick lunch sandwich from Firehouse Subs. My sandwich was good, service was alright and cleanliness can certainly use some work. The team was quick with making my sandwich due to the amount of guest during the lunch hour. I received a free large drink from checking in which was cool. But other than that I wasn't impressed. I requested my sandwich to be cut into fours which wasn't. I also requested extra pickles on the side which I did not receive. So I probably won't return to this location for a while. read more

Once I walked inside, I was told that they were no longer taking walk in orders and if I wanted food I had to order it online for takeout because they were "understaffed".... Please explain to how forcing me to pay DoorDash or whomever an extra $3 'fee' to order a sandwich online is so much easier than taking my order at the counter. Can you really not spend 30 seconds to type an order into a computer? My coworker recommended getting the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket for lunch. The sandwich is beef brisket smoked for 16+ hours, cheddar, mayo, and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. I took his cue of ordering the sandwich without the mayo. No regrets on this sandwich. That sauce is lightly sweetened but did not overwhelm or overpower the sandwich. ENJOY! P.S. Really delicious subs - way better than anything you would get at Subway and better than Quizno's too! Firehouse offers a couple of different meats that you won't see at the other sub places - corned beef brisket and pastrami - so avoid the usual ham and cheese. Firehouse also does things a little differently than Quizno's - they steam the meat and cheese first. Taking the order to go, I got the "Hook & Ladder" for myself (ham and turkey with Monterrey Jack cheese) and the "Engineer" (smoked turkey and sauteed mushrooms) for my wife. Both were what they call "fully involved" which means, as you can guess, with all the usual toppings. While the staff was friendly and the sandwiches were excellent, by the time I had driven them five minutes to get home, they had become a little soggy. I'm sure that it is the steamer that does it. No biggie - have it "eat in" rather than "to go." Try something different! read more

The bread is awesome and they have baked Lay's potato chips which I haven't seen in a long time. Plus they have the super powerful salt & vinegar chips which I like when I need a punch of flavor. So far I've only tried the standard ham and turkey but it was so good I'll be back for more.
