Great service! Everyone is so nice and helpful to non-frequenters like me!! Also, it is rare when the food item actually looks like the photo, so thank you!

Open air infested with flying gnats

So I came in to get a remake of my Flatbread pizza due to it having cilantro and I can't bare the taste of it. Well while waiting the worker comes and gets a chocolate chip muffin. However there are several gnats (flying bugs) resting on top of them. The worker literally fanned them away and proceeded to grab one and place it into someone to go order. For this reason alone I wish I could give a 0. The amount of disgust I felt is astounding. Last time ordering from this location. Young lady who did it had purple and pink highlights in her hair wearing a visor today also. Name started with a T.... clean house literally Panera this was unacceptable.

Panera Bread is Panera Bread, ambience is meant to be consistent to a standard - muted light yellow walls, fireplace in a seating area, coffee and tea station across from the order counter that has overhead board display of standard fare: salads, warm bowls, sandwiches, soups, beverages, pick 2 and accompanying close up pictures of their selections. But what made this location slightly different from others is that it's tucked away in a strip of stores that are a mix of restaurant (it's next to a Japanese restaurant, diagonal to a Chili's restaurant and a mix of quick eats places like Subway, Moe's, Tropical Cafe...and while there are lots of choices for patrons, this location manages to have a steady stream of customers. The service is slow, there wasn't anyone on the ready at the counter to take your order BUT once your order is taken the order comes out in minutes! I ordered the chicken Mediterranean salad which has quinoa and arugula salad as a base, chicken, cherry tomatoes, black olives, hummus and sour cream. All was standard.

My first time EVER going into the building. I have had them delivered before. Honestly it was pretty overwhelming for my first time. I was being rushed to order but after I ordered I had no clue what to do! I started to follow others! Then I leaned you walk back to and wait for your buzzer to go off and you pick up your food from the high bar. I get like we were all sitting on top of each other. Then putting the dishes in the container was interesting I was trying to not touch all the other dirty dishes and not break the ones I was putting in. Overall I always love the food, but don't think I would eat inside again. They do take Apple Pay!

Remote worksite while in the area. Parking lot was crowded but had some spaces. Counter ordering had a line; thankfully, they also had self-serve kiosks which made for a quick transaction. Liked earning rewards points for future freebies. Loved having the "real mug" for coffee. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the light roast was empty until after I paid. Notified an employee and it was swapped out for a fresh pot in under 3 minutes. Indoor dining room was a long interesting layout with varying seating configurations: some booths, some tables/chairs, some combos of each. I opted for a 2 top bench table/chair combo in the very back near the gender specific restrooms. It was fairly quiet and comfy with ample space to spread out. WiFi reception was very good and allowed me to be productive for 90 minutes. Yes, I most certainly grabbed a Java refill.

Still no onions (thought they might be hiding on the bottom)

Having worked all around the Southside I have had the pleasure of dining in, ordering out and having delivery from multiple Panera locations and honestly, this is by far, the worst one. Their 3 stars is due to their friendly (and fast) delivery drivers. If it would be based on quality of food, it would be a solid 2 (most days) and some days a 1. My latest order of fuji apple chicken salad came without onions even though I ordered extra. The order before that was missing a cream cheese. 2 orders before came out perfect. 3 orders before that had another Fuji apple chicken salad arriving without any chicken. My coworker also had a delivery last week of a breakfast sandwich that came wrong not once but twice. When the orders are right, I'm pleased but here lately, it happens less and less. This is the only location I've ever tried to get a bagel from at 8:15am only to find out there weren't any bagels. At all. Not a single bagel at 8am on a workday. How does that happen? If it was a rarity I could understand but just week before last I ordered a french toast bagel but they called to tell me there weren't any and did I have a backup? Sure, the cinnamon crunch. Guess what? That one was out too. My coworker tells me the delivery drivers are responsible for the QA check but with my missing onions he would have had to open the container and dig through the toppings to see if my onions were missing (see pic).

I used to eat at Panera all the time until their portion sizes got smaller and there prices became crazy expensive. There are always out of everything anytime I try to order too. This half sandwich is $8 and was basically 2 bites. I couldn't believe this was the sandwich I got for $8. Insane! Almost $20 now for a half of a sandwich and half salad these days. Ridiculous.

Decided to stop in yesterday after shopping for some to-go bagels, and I am happy I did! I got the Bakers' Dozen, and they were fresh, tasty, and sliced perfectly! I really love the Cinnamon Crunch ones! I also enjoyed my Bear Claw on my drive home! Fresh and tasty! Really love the sweetness with the almonds! I decided to try their Almond Vanilla Cold Brew and it was delicious! A nice refreshing flavor combination! The staff were very helpful, pleasant and had my order ready in no time!

Notice how it says "accuracy matters" on the bottom? Apparently not at this Panera. Not even close to right.

They would get more than 1 start if they actually listened to what you ordered. I ordered the pick 2 meal, and pointed to grilled cheese and bacon sandwich on the board and said "I'll have that" and mac and cheese. When I said I wanted a sandwich and pointed to the board, the girl at the register asked "like a tuna sandwich?" and I said no. She completely got my order wrong. Wrong sandwich, no mac and cheese. Instead I got a plain grilled cheese and a tuna salad sandwich, which I threw away because it looked gross and it was not what I ordered.

I enjoy coming to this location! It is in the shopping center with Dollar Tree, Moe's, and Chili's just to name a few. Staff is friendly and service is fast! There are many different ways to order (at the counter, on the kiosks in store, or online for pickup) which makes it convenient for almost any situation. Of course they are super busy around lunch time but any other time it is quick & easy. If you've never been to Panera the prices may seem a tad expensive at first but it is good quality food. There are tons of options including salads, soups, sandwiches, and a few pasta dishes. My most recent visit I tried out their breakfast (offered until 10:30am on weekdays and 11 on weekends). I ordered the chipotle chicken avocado wrap and it was delicious! My only complaint was that I wish it was a bigger serving for the $5 price point. I also order from the bakery section occasionally. I love the bagels and muffins. I typically visit Panera when I need to get some work done. It's not always quiet because people like to meet up with friends and catch up here so I just bring headphones and it's a great place to get work done! A little less than half the tables in the restaurant have access to an electrical outlet so you just have to search for them if you want to charge your electronic devices. Bathrooms are clean and located at the very back of the restaurant. I like how it's not just a single bathroom, it's a two stall bathroom so you shouldn't have to wait for someone to get out of it. Overall I like this Panera location and will definitely be back because of the nice staff and cleanliness of the facility.

Here's another one of those "I know it's just me" type of reviews. I know that people dig Panera for some reason. What that reason is truly escapes me as I find the chain overpriced, the ordering process somewhat chaotic and the stores generally filthy. This one would be a no doubt about it one star depth charge with the exception that we had gift cards so it cost me next to nothing. I know that's the wrong reason to add a star but I'm feeling generous today. It's how I roll on Mondays. We slink in midweek a few days after Christmas. Total sea of humanity inside. I'd say 3/4 of the tables are taken with most of that being single people who are sitting with just a drink and their laptops, books, purses and smartphones spread across tables for four like it's a home office. Out of the remaining tables I'd say twenty percent are left dirty with garbage on them or the seats which left maybe three usable tables. Thank God this place has ordering kiosks because the process with humans takes way, way, way too long. This isn't like say CFA where you order a number and then you're done. No, here apparently people go brain dead at the register when you add all of the choices regarding breads-drinks-sizes-spreads-toppings I guess it's too much for some to process in under half an hour. We order on the kiosk and our stuff hits the table in three batches over the next twenty minutes in reverse order. Sandwiches first, pasta second and soups last. Odd, I know. What worked: Kids Grilled Cheese but then again it's pretty hard to jack this one up especially when it costs over four bucks for something that probably costs Panera thirty cents to render. The Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich was probably the best thing overall. It looked good and the Old Lady said that it tasted very fresh. Right amount of dressing with excellent bread. What was nay-nay: I ordered some kind of flatbread that had spinach and turkey in it. Very messy with way too much spread. As soon as I picked it up it was leaking out the backdoor and half way thru the flat bread had mostly dissolved to mush due to the moisture. Also worth noting is the mac and cheese. Delicious no doubt, but the portion size for eight plus dollars is quite possibly one of the larger ripoffs in chain dining. What sucked: The bread bowl for the broccoli cheese soup. The soup was excellent but the bread bowl itself was inedible unless you had drill bits for teeth. Overdone. Burnt. Hard as a brick. In the words of Taylor Swift: "Call It What You Want" but I'll stick with a total waste of money. The best way to describe it here is underwhelming. Middle of the road food that should cost 20% less served up in a loud and somewhat dirty environment. Swish, swish. That was the sound of me crossing this place off.

Came here with a friend of mine who absolutely loves hot pot. I had actually never had it before,…read moreso I had zero idea what I was in for. But honestly, it turned out to be such a fun and tasty experience! For anyone who hasn't tried it: hot pot is basically a big simmering pot of soup right at your table where you cook all your own food. You pick all your ingredients from soup, veggies, meats, noodles, mushrooms, whatever you want and drop them into the hot broth to cook. It's super customizable and kind of like a mix between soup and DIY cooking right at the table, which is actually a blast once you get the hang of it. We both went with a hot, spicy soup base which was perfect for warming up on a cold day. I threw in broccoli, mushrooms, ribeye, and noodles. The best part is watching everything cook right in front of you and then pulling it out when it's just right. The broth soaks up all those flavors and gets even richer as you go. The flavors were amazing! Really bold and satisfying. The spicy broth was exactly what I needed, and everything we added came out perfectly cooked and delicious. It was warm and cozy, which made the whole thing even better since it felt like the ultimate cold weather meal. I look forward to retuning and trying something completely different!

Clearing the table of our empty plates could have been more attentive, although it improved about halfway through the meal. The sauce bar was clearly labeled with dozens of options. There are many different broths available, plenty of proteins, though I would have preferred leaner cuts of beef. Don't miss the included cold appetizer options and deserts. I thought that someone had spilled fish sauce in the men's room but I found that the issue was that the urinal didn't flush. I'll pass on the fish sauce next visit!

We always choose the Greenbrier location in Chesapeake since there's ample parking available, and the service is very good. Tonight I tried a new salad, the Lemon Basil Harvest Blend, and I appreciated our server, Jackeline M for asking if I preferred the dressing on the side. Yes, please! I'm so glad she asked! This mixed greens salad has some star ingredients that caught my eye: charred artichokes, green olives, and grilled balsamic chicken. Yum. I'll be ordering this salad again. My bestie ordered her favorite bc combo with Tomato Soup and the Wine Country salad. She says that soup and salad combo never disappoints. She finished it! But, we always save room to share a trusty bc favorite dessert: the Wimbledon (strawberries with whipped cream crepes). Although it's no longer on the menu, the Greenbrier location always whips it up for us when we ask. It's an oldie, and a goodie! We enjoy the cozy atmosphere of Baker's Crust and find that our dinner catch ups over their delicious food and dessert are always long overdue. I boxed half of my salad to take home and Jackeline was kind in bringing me extra salad dressing to go. Very thoughtful. We'll be back soon!

The food here is okay, but it will suffice whenever it's cold out and you need some hot broth to warm you up. I came in on a Friday evening nearly a year ago. Snow was beginning to melt away and there was no food in the house. So, I took a drive to see how the area was doing in regards to the snow, and I decided to drive by my office when I saw that Pho 79 was open. When I arrived, I was seated immediately. There were maybe 2 parties already seated and eating and the lady quickly gave me a menu. When I sat down, it dawned on me that the last time I ate at this location was a good 10-15 years ago. They changed up the seating a little, and the interior lighting is darker than I remembered. I decided on: A1. Spring Rolls P13. Pho Ribeye Steak Both items came to my table quickly and I proceeded to chow down. The spring rolls were kinda tough (well, the ingredients inside were tougher than I anticipated), while the pho ribeye steak was very good. I had a soda to drink, but it took a minute to get someone's attention for a refill (if there's one pet peeve I have with certain restaurants, servers need to be more cognizant and anticipate when a customer will need a refill; during my restaurant employment days, I was taught the 'silent refill' approach - assume the customer will need refills and get them that refill before they even think to ask). I'd like to say I was in and out of Pho 79 in about 25 minutes. So speed is a strength here. The food is good, although the spring rolls need some work, and the service, although fast, could be a bit more anticipatory rather than reactionary. Still, this is the best Pho 79 in this area, and I wouldn't mind visiting again (which I have since this visit). Thank you, Pho 79! JV
