This is an amazing place that has replaced Starbucks for me. First of all there is free Wi-Fi. Secondly it's big, airy, bright and more than twice as big as a Starbucks. Thirdly, the coffee is surprisingly good and half the price of the other places. They have more comfortable furniture; couches, booths, tables and chairs which make it a cozy place to stop for a bagel or have lunch at. They have enough room to have business meetings or small gatherings and no one is disturbing anyone. The background music is typically bouncy jazz, but not loud or distracting. Lunches are perfect for the health conscience or hungry. Soups, salads and those sandwiches served on their fantastic fresh bread. The prices are a buck or so more than Subway, but this food is better and you're in a classier place to enjoy it. There are cooling specialty drinks, ice drinks, lemonade, etc. Try FREE refills too. This is a nice alternative to a Barnes & Noble or Starbucks for spending a few hours of "me" time or catching up on your email. Service is friendly, efficient and professional. Obviously a great place to work. It seems to attract the grad student crowd and busy suburban working couples. It don't have a snobby attitude at all. read more

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Panera tonight. The service provided was so poor that I would rate it as zero if possible. I believe the manager, Laura, is responsible for this dismal situation. When I visited the drive-thru, she completely ignored my attempts to get my order. Even honking my horn didn't get her attention. To my dismay, my food was just sitting on the counter, and despite having paid, I was left waiting for my order. In frustration, I decided to go inside the store to resolve the matter. However, even then, Laura showed no interest in giving me my food. All I asked for was a refund, and she processed it without offering any resolution to the problem or providing me with the food I had ordered. This kind of service is unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the management and the people working there. I find it hard to believe that this behavior is endorsed by Panera, as it's the worst experience I've ever had while trying to get food. read more

I think everyone has to try their Italian Combo Sandwich. I love the generous portion of all the meat. The sandwich is pretty big! My friend and I also sampled all of their soups and I can't complain about any of them. They were all good especially their Broccoli and Chedder Soup which is pretty awesome. Panera Bread also has free Wi-Fi, so this is a great place to just be on your laptop studying or just surfing the web and just chill. It is a pretty quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The staff there are very friendly as well, which makes the stay very comforting. The price range isn't that bad considering the quality of their food. Try this place! read more

Earlier I had came in with my significant other to try out something new... so we decided to get Panera and my boy toy decided he wanted pizza while I wanted Mac and cheese. I'm so mad. I told hubby I want a bread bowl and the cheap bag of rocks decided we were just going to get Mac n cheese. I hate him. The food was good though. I have a question . I recently visited the Panera Bread location on Birch Road in Chula Vista, and I was extremely disappointed with the service. I specifically requested an apple as part of my order, but instead, they gave me bread. This might seem like a small mistake, but it really bothered me because I was looking forward to the apple. The staff didn't seem to care about the mix-up and didn't offer any solution or apology. This lack of attention to detail and poor customer service has left a bad impression on me. Nice size place and located inside of the mall but not that impressed with the size and taste of the food. Great coffee and pastries but with the sandwiches i would have expected more especially with the price you pay. But it is a nice place to study for a student or just sit and read the newspaper. Ive been to this location a few times and Ive always had a good experience, service wise & food quality wise. The service is usually pretty quick & efficient. What you think will be a quick run for coffee and breakfast always turns into a 30 minute affair. Multiple visits I've had to wait 20-30 min. at the drive-thru, and this is not an exaggeration. It's quicker to go in and order, but defeats the purpose and convenience of having a drive-thru. read more

The food is great at panera. I cose their salads and sandwich combo. It took 20 minutes to get the food and the restaurant was not busy. After asking for my food 20 minutes later, they brought it out quickly and gave me a free desert. (this is why I gave 3 stars rather than 2). read more
