Third time ordering take out and they forgot HALF of my order. The half we got wrong. We ordered meals with no Chicken and they came WITH chicken. The meals had to be thrown out. Called back to talk to the manager and they offered a refund, but they said we would have to come in. We live 20 minutes away and I did not want to make a 40 Minute round trip. We were told to call back When the general manager was in, and each time we call, he just so happens to not be there. It's a joke. Will be making an official corporate complaint. read more

This is my local Panera and I eat here a lot. They have drive through which is great for morning coffee runs! The staff here are always friendly and cheerful. The food is good every time. I like to order ahead on the Panera app and then just pick my food up from the ready to go area. Quick and easy. You can also pick up your phone order via the drive through. My favorite things are the Napa Chicken Salad Sandwich, the squash soup, and the Breakfast souffles. The hazelnut coffee is also great. Free wi-fi and lots of parking nearby. It's on the corner of Greenback and Sunrise right by Black Angus. read more

Ok I was so excited to get some food here so I phoned in my order. To my dismay at the pick up drive thru the server was not wearing a mask not gloves to serve me my order. So I asked why they were not wearing a mask or gloves and she said because Panera had not given them any. I feel that proper hygiene in this present moment for any food service everyone should be wearing a mask and gloves. Given we have no idea how the Covid-19 is spread. Eating a sandwich at Panera is not cheap but splurging for a delicious sandwich, a bowl of soup, good company in a clean environment once in a while is worth it. The staff is nice and prepares things rather quickly. They have fresh cookies; I find them super expensive. Came in a few times and it was almost to busy to enjoy. They actually have a ton of bread and snacks behind the counter! I always get the soup in a bread bowl! It taste amazing and you do get the choice of sides! I usually skip the option of getting chips and swap out for an apple instead! They also have teas that you can get instead of soda too! You can usually add a cookie or sweet treat to any meal for a dollar! The place is usually pretty clean. Unless you catch them on a day when it is so busy that you can't seem to find a place to sit. They usually have outdoor seating too which is perfect for the days when it's really not too hot outside! It's really not a bad place for a chain restaurant. Last night I stopped by for a Simple Greek salad, no surprises expected. Asked for the salad, bread and extra dressing. When I got home I noticed I got plain chips-no bread. If they were out of bread when I asked they could have let me know and asked what chips I would like. Nope just threw in the plain ones. Started to mix up my salad and add the dressing only to find that all 4 of the dressing were bad/expired. It was chunky, separated and very smelly. Shook it up to see if it would mix back together-nope. Obviously expired and now I wish I would have taken a picture before throwing them away. I have been coming to Panera for years and have if there was a ranking system in memberships i would be platinum as I spend a lot of money a month eating Panera. My husband orders 2 soups 95% of the time we have come and always asks for one extra piece of bread and we have never had an issue ever until today when a very rude associate says now we have to pay a fee for 1 piece of bread!!!!! really cause the hundreds of dollars we spend here monthly are worth losing us over a piece of bread!!!!!! I'm such a picky eater. I have only been inside panera bread a handful of times, typically fit coffee. I have only ever ate a bread bowl/chicken soup dish there once (yummy and filing) and I have had a few bagels over the years. Tonight I went in determined to try something new. The broth bowls. So standing in line, trying to read menus and nutrition menus. .. having to let 3 customers ahead of me since I am so decisive. Some stars because they have my online order ready on time and include everything in the order every time, but stars taken off because lately they've been real skimpy on sandwich fixings. I go to this location a lot and never have any issues. ordered a rapid pick up order online and when i got there they didnt have my order because their systems were down and the orders werent coming through. they started making the orders right then, And even with a few people in front of me waiting for their food they still got my order out pretty quickly. Frank, the manager handled everything great tho, and even got behind the line to help make the orders. he offered everyone a free pastry or drink to make up for the time they had to wait for their food. I got home and found out they gave me the wrong order, I called and he remembered me and was super nice and offered to give me a free meal and refund my money. Basically just wanted to say in this review that Frank is an awesome manager!! he went above and beyond in my opinion to accommodate the customer and its appreciated! read more

Ordered 3 salads and some mac and cheese for the kid tonight to be delivered. We've used the delivery before from the Panera website before and never had a problem. This time however two salads were messed up. I called to find out what we could do to fix the issue. Very happy with Tomi the manager who answered the phone when I called! She called Postmates to no avail, but she found a catering driver working that could run the salad replacements to our house. She sent the salads and some fresh cookies. It was very nice service! I come here more often than I should. I have a Panera addiction. I have a problem. I usually go through the drive thru after work in the evenings, I have never come to this location any other time than the evenings really but each time I have a delightful experience. I LOVE that this location has a drive thru. Call me lazy, but I just love the convenience if I am on the go and I had not heard of a drive thru Panera before this one. Every employee I have dealt with in the drive thru has been polite and offered great customer service. In particular Steven is an individual who I see quite often and he remembers me (in a friendly way, not a creepy stalker way) and he always makes me smile. He is the epitome of friendly customer service. I worked 4 years of retail before graduating college and entering the corporate world and I am amazed at his ability to be so genuinely polite, caring, and helpful. On occasion he has thrown in a free pastry or cookie, not sure if they were going to throw them out anyway or if he was making up for something else such as a wait time, I have never been dissatisfied but rather delighted by these occasional surprises (they were rare, so hopefully the manager doesn't read this and think he's getting out of hand because he is by far your best employee!) Went there for many years, service and food were fine...but then my son ate some Mac n cheese and a brownie and got food poisoning so severe it lasted a month and lost 8% of his body weight. I have never been to a Panera since and won't go back. I've read their staff turnover is less than a year,which is worse than McDonalds. I've had several meals from Panera, but this was the first time I had eaten in. I was slightly surprised to see a group of 8 patrons dressed as though they were attending a Victorian-era ball á la Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." I was most certainly underdressed, bespectacled in my lowly jeans, t-shirt, and Lowa hiking boots (I would recommend Lowa in a heartbeat nonetheless). Note to self: be sure to keep spare derby hat, walking cane, frock coat, cotton vest, mutton chops and waxed mustachio in the steamer trunk of my horseless carriage. Aside from my grievous lack of social consciousness, the meal was great and priced reasonably. I have to condemn Panera for their use of genetically engineered onions, however. I'm no stranger to red onions, but the pungent onions in the salad had to be cut into smaller pieces...and then smaller pieces still. Reflecting on them still brings tears to my ducts. The salad was fresh, albeit with cheap, tasteless lettuces; the balsamic was a bit on the sweet side. I thought the small side of dressing would not be enough but it was very concentrated and more was not needed. The sandwich had fresh-tasting meat, fresh and tasty bread, fresh produce, and tasty condiment. The condiment was not spread throughout, but adding the brown mustard from the self-serve area evened it out. The "cappuccino" was a bit "wet," but the "taste" was "good," and "balanced." It was actually "more" like a "latté" because it had very little "foam" and was "milky." I would not describe the taste as "nutty," "earthy," or with hints of "caramel," or "kitty litter;" but I would say it's not at all bitter and has a slight mirage of a shadow of cocoa. The cheese danish was not very sweet and complements a not-at-all-sweet coffee. There was no staleness to the croissant-like bread. 1/2 salad, 0.5 sandwich, pastry, coffee, and apple: ~$12. The halves are probably more than a technical half, yet the 2-item combo provides a sufficient amount of consumables without being burdened by over-stuffing oneself - a crucial consideration for battle-field logistics, evading roving bands of zombies (slow *or* fast) or post-apocalyptic hot-rod punk gangs, or simply not nodding off at your cubicle. Of course, if you're the type to stuff yourself, you probably aren't the type to eat at Panera anyway. read more

The employees seem to not care about their jobs, and do not want to provide exceptional service. Once ordering, one feels rushed. Ask a question, and one is gazed at as if it is frowned upon. Restrooms were not clean. Food is good, but to be forward, Safeway or Raley's provides similar sandwiches, and sides. Went here for a fundraiser to support our daughter's cause so of course we brought the whole family. Currently 38 weeks pregnant, waited in line for what seemed like forever, even chatted with the cashier about the pregnancy. Waited even longer for our food, half of which the orders were wrong so they had to correct. So I sat down in an empty chair bc my back was killing me and I kept having contractions. The guy behind the counter told me twice I couldn't sit down. I ignored him the first time bc, well, I'm about to pop and contractions aren't comfortable. My husband told him I was pregnant and he said, "yeah well still, she can't sit down" He aggressively said it again to me at which time I stood up and asked him if he was serious that I can't sit in an empty chair until my food was ready. To make matters worse we have ordered from there before and the food was sealed so I tried to call the restaurant which closes at 9 PM just to confirm if they don't do that anymore and waited for about five minutes and no one answered the phone. Not being a bread-lover, it's surprising to me how much I love Panera. I guess that's because they offer so much more than bread! This location is very close to home, so I come by sometimes to grab breakfast on my way to work (in the drive-thru -- AWESOME!) or on a weekend when I don't want to make breakfast. The atmosphere is nice, and the rapid pick-up feature at all Paneras allows you to order and pay ahead of time and just pick up your food when you get there- also awesome! I love their huge selection of baked goods, their coffee options, and for lunch, their pick 2 menu, because there are SO MANY choices to create your own combo. I love to get the Fuji Apple salad with a 1/2 sandwich or flatbread and add a fruit cup as my side. This comes out around $10 bucks without a drink, so it's not exactly cheap, but it is tasty and relatively healthy. Plus it fills me up! Each item is priced individually, so you can make your combo come out cheaper if you desire. Plus, with the myPanera rewards, I get rewards for coming here. I've received a free baked good and $2 off my Pick 2 (score)! My only complaint is that the last time I was there, they were out of everything I wanted by like 8am. Really?? They were out of the bagel thins, out of the bread I chose to substitute, and out of the cheese. The sandwich I ended up with after all those substitutions... sucked. Zero flavor at all (I don't recommend their turkey sausage because it has no taste). And they still charged me full price, of course, so I paid $8 for coffee and a nasty sandwich. Fortunately I received a customer survey on that visit and was able to deliver some feedback. Other than this one experience here (and the somewhat high prices), I recommend Panera. I've gone to this place for a while now usually on the weekends when it's convenient and I have to stop going now. There was nothing wrong with the food (I still love it) but I can't take the unreliable service anymore as once can be a fluke but twice is too much. A couple of weeks ago I went through the drive through and they gave me the wrong sandwich when I asked for a med veggie. The turkey sandwich I got was good, but it was no med veggie and I wouldn't have paid for a turkey sandwich when I can make a perfectly good one myself anyway. I could actually explain that though as there was someone in front who took a long time at the drive through and window (very inconsiderate) so I let it go. Now I have recently gone in to avoid this mishap, but lo and belhold: This late afternoon I took my togo bag and find out later that even though I paid for a bagel and cream cheese I didn't get it! Just the soup and bread was in the bag. Two strikes and I'm done! It's sad because it's convenient, and I love the food but I can't take the hassle anymore. The servers are friendly but really they don't know what they are doing and that is enough for me to cross this place off my list. Disappointing. I came through here at 10 am and they were out of basically everything. No Cobblestone, two kinds of muffins left. I asked for an Asiago bagel and they had to check if they had that! On top of it, when I got to the drive through window, I couldn't use my Panera card because the system was down! This is in an excellent location and should have 4 stars or more. They opened to such fanfare that this is sad to see. On one of the windows, the black sunshade is all slashed from the outside--no repair/replacement in sight. It just seems...forgotten.
