Went here for a fundraiser to support our daughter's cause so of course we brought the whole family. Currently 38 weeks pregnant, waited in line for what seemed like forever, even chatted with the cashier about the pregnancy. Waited even longer for our food, half of which the orders were wrong so they had to correct. So I sat down in an empty chair bc my back was killing me and I kept having contractions. The guy behind the counter told me twice I couldn't sit down. I ignored him the first time bc, well, I'm about to pop and contractions aren't comfortable. My husband told him I was pregnant and he said, "yeah well still, she can't sit down" He aggressively said it again to me at which time I stood up and asked him if he was serious that I can't sit in an empty chair until my food was ready. Seriously, how rude and insensitive. But hey, the bathrooms are open. Guess I could've sat on their toilet with my bare ass until my food was ready. read more

I will decide my star rating after going through my visit step-by-step. I came in around lunch, so they were fairly busy. There were three cashiers taking orders, so when one opened up, she kind of slinked behind her register. I made eye contact with her, and she just stared. When I kind of hinted I was a customer, she gave me a gruff "Can I help you?" Now then, the food: I like the lunch combination of a half sandwich, soup, and an apple. I chose the grilled cheese, which was pretty good. The tomato soup was decent...a little too thick (I prefer a little thinner), but it was still tasty. And, who doesn't enjoy a good apple? All in all, a pretty good lunch. However, the price seemed a little much. I spent close to $11 for a restaurant that is seemingly higher quality fast food. Half a grilled cheese, tomato soup, a soda, and an apple for $11 doesn't seem like the best value. By price and service, I am going two negatives over the positive, so I am deciding on two stars. I probably would be alright with returning, but would not suggest it if I were in the area. read more

Ordered through DoorDash and the bag did not come with a seal normally not a problem but with Lou spread in the bag there is nothing to stop the driver from messing with your food. To make matters worse we have ordered from there before and the food was sealed so I tried to call the restaurant which closes at 9 PM just to confirm if they don't do that anymore and waited for about five minutes and no one answered the phone. We have had good experiences before but it's vital that going forward regardless of Covid protocols food is sealed if you're going to have it delivered. read more

For the cost, and efficiency of your order I do not think this is a great place to work. 80% of the time my order has been incorrect, and I think the bread and croutons are usually stale. The 20% when the food tastes great, it's really great. I've had 2 bad run-ins with this particular store. They've officially been boycotted. (The first time I saw a girl eating while making food, and the second time a staff member was making fun of the fact I have diabetes). They did offer to fix my food the many times it was incorrect. I'm just always worried they will do something to my food. I've probably been here at least 15 times over the past 11 months. It's a very convenient location. Soup is ALWAYS good. I have been to the Arden Panera several times, and have not had any problems with my food, or service. I hope if you visit this location you're more satisfied then I have been. read more

They have the panera flavor down, but the flow is still alittle rough, for a complete remodel of the place (used to be a krispy kreme donuts) they didnt make it have the kind of layout you would exspect. On a busy afternoon you might find a line that just ameobas around, this is due to it being new and alot of people dont understand the menu or don't know what they want exactly, also because the enterance layout is so weird. 3 stars because it is consistant with the other paneras in quaility. 1 star because for the poor layout. I live down the street so although this one is conveniently located I find myself going out if my way to the Douglas or El Camino ave locations just to avoid the trouble at this one. Service was good, food was okay. I ordered the citrus chicken salad and I thought the chicken would have been warmed but everything was cold. Too cold in fact. It was hard to eat as it hurt my teeth. I also ordered the chicken noodle soup which was tasty. My fiance ordered the Reuben sandwich and the broccoli cheese soup and he liked them both. Ordered from this location back in March and it was okay. I ordered again this morning and I got a whole taste of old ingredients in my Mac and cheese and my sandwiches. "It's hard being cheesy" When you're on a low carbohydrate diet the word "Bread" is bad. But Panera Bread is pretty good, and this location is wonderful. I walked into this Panera thinking I'd have the same three star experience I've had at other Paneras. Wow, I was so wrong. My checkout person (Allissa? -er, I can't remember her name) was very kind. I asked if I could see nutrition information and she brought it out so I could look up the carb count on the salad I wanted. When we discovered it was a little higher because of fruit she said "Let's see what we can do to make this work for you". So off went the fruit and on went the cheese - no extra charge (thanks to the manager standing at the counter). I mean come ON! That's fantastic customer service! They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my order. At the end of my transaction the clerk cracked a joke "it's hard being cheesy". What a wonderful employee! You should give her a big fat raise. Because I can't remember her name just give ALL THE EMPLOYEES working on 08/29 a BIG FAT Bonus. It was a team effort that made this experience so special. I'm going to go out of my way to go back. I also loved hanging out for a bit and getting some work done. This Panera is a true oasis in the area. I really enjoy Panera Bread. The only problem is that it's a little expensive. My favorite dish is the Bleu Cheese and Steak salad. It is absolutely to die for. Everything else is alright, but I do really enjoy their bagels as well. The atmosphere feels like your everyday coffee chop. There are lots of small tables and some soft chairs as well. It's a great place to eat and relax, if it's not too busy, and enjoy a book or two. read more

Meh, this Panera Bread is hit or miss. I've been here a couple of times now on my lunch break from work. I always take my orders to go. The first time, I ordered a lemonade and they gave it to me in a cracked cup and it was leaking everywhere. The second time, I ordered tomato soup and they gave me no croutons to put on top. I mean, c'mon. The staff is friendly and get orders out quickly, but they need to keep things consistent and watch what they give their customers. read more

Panera Bread took awhile to get its footing. The waitress who previously helped me must've been having a bad day, which is understandable, maybe its her first waitressing job.. Anyway, we've been back several times now and she's been helpful and even cheerful. We eat here about three times a month, if not more, because it's food that's fast but not greasy and fatty. Nothing ever tastes old here and the service is pretty helpful. If they run out of something, they suggest something similar.. I had mac and cheese once and they said it'd be a long time, so they made me some soup on the house and they let me have mac and cheese to go. I hate the pager system.. you sit there having a conversation and then this thing buzzes super loud and you JUMP and run to the counter. I guess that's just a personal thing. The panera card is pretty cool, but I think they might be trained not to ask if you have one, so either present it at the register or ask them to look it up for you. Their pastries are good, their food is not good at all, it's all tasteless and overpriced. Their coffee is brewed in batches and it self serve, fine.. I can live with that BUT they do not clean their half and half containers and the cream is just sitting there drying out and spoiling, so disgusting. Been to lots of Panera Breads. Love the variety of baked goods, soups, sandwiches, and salads. Appreciate the fact that they post calories on the menu. This location was smaller than the other ones I've been to before. It was relatively clean. Friendly staff, and my salad was made pretty quickly. Tasted fresh! Good portion. Great place to meet up for a study group. They have lots of outlets for your computer and nice sized tables. I have a My Panera card. My only complaint about that is the offers don't last long - 2 months or so. If I've earned a free coffee or tea or whatever, would be nice to pick that up the next time I visit, whether it's a week or 4 months later. Know what I mean? Tonight was my fourth visit to this particular Panera Bread location since it has opened. Usually we avoid coming here even though it is the closest location to my house for the following reason. Without fail, each time that I go the tables are dirty and have not been wiped down. My specific ire on this visit was not with the tables as they were dirty as expected. While ordering, I asked for a lemonade as I do all over the country when ordering at Panera Bread. This time was different as I was told that there are no refills on a drink costing me upwards the cost of a 12-pack of Coke at the grocery store. When challenged with this policy, the young lady behind the counter told me with all confidence that she was sure that that's how they do it in Folsom also. Great logic since I eat at Panera Bread locations in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, Georgia and points between ordering almost always lemonade....and....getting free refills. This young lady almost talked herself out of all of our business but I opted to stay and get the macaroni and cheese fix that I came for and order water instead. I'm unsure if this particular store is a franchise subject to someone else's rules but it really doesn't matter. But when I returned home with a two person order they again forgot to put my cookie I had ordered into my bag. I only live less than 1 1/2 miles from this Panera but had to go back and get my cookie. 55 minutes after I first order we sat down to eat. The worst Panera location. I've only ordered here if I was in this area. I never had a problem with the location near my house (they'd even call me if they happened to be out of an item). The past three times, within the past week, that I've ordered online for rapid pickup at this Citrus Heights location they got my order wrong (wrong item, left out additional ingredients I paid for, wrong sandwich bread). This last time the manager and food line workers even had the nerve to laugh about it when I walked back inside to complain. I went in today to order tomato bisque and that's what I really wanted, they had creamy tomato on the menu and because the name was different I didn't want to pay for it and not like it because I'm really not a fan of tomato soup but I love the one from Panera bread, and I walked out disappointed but my cashier Jacori asked the manager Johnny if it was the same or similar and Johnny said yes it was the same and Jacori came outside after me to tell me I could try a sample and sure enough it was the same and made me super happy cuz I was able to get what I was craving!
