Ordered through the app, then went through the drive-through to pick up the order in May 2023. I waited an extremely long time in the drive through to pick up my order, order was to be ready at 6:03, arrived 6:11p, received food at 6:45p, only one car in front of me. Upon arriving home, I discovered that the bowl that I had ordered had been eaten out of. Literally, a portion of the food had been eaten - see attached picture of what I discovered. I was so grossed out, absolutely DISGUSTED. Immediately, I drove back to the restaurant with my entire order, considering that I am now way too grossed out to eat any of, and asked to speak with a manager. The entire establishment reeked of an unclean, public bathroom smell (a heavily urinated in without consistent upkeep/cleaning- gas station kind of public bathroom smell). Upon presenting the food and issue to the manager on duty (Zachary Newell), his first reaction was "are you sure that the food wasn't jostled". Uh, yes, I am absolutely sure that the food was not jostled - nothing else in the bag was "jostled" and you could easily see for yourself thru the clear cover and even better by removing the cover that a portion of the meal had been eaten and picked over. When something is jostled, it makes a mess within the container, and this was clearly not the case. Zachary, did not acknowledge what happened at all, no apology, in fact he smugly discounted and invalidated the entire experience. Zachary did not even offer a refund to the original form of payment. He offered to remake the meal - like I am going to ever eat food from this establishment ever again. No follow up from the store manager. Managed to get Zachary to provide a cash refund (after requesting a refund), still with zero acknowledgment of the issue at hand, respect, or offer of any other resolution. Meanwhile (after being there for over half an hour), throughout this entire interaction with Zachary, there is another employee behind the counter with her long dark hair down to her waist, handling food and drinks, not wearing a hair tie/hat/hair net AT ALL. Another employee is handling food to go and at the bakery without gloves, or proper health hygiene. SO DISGUSTING. The entire experience was disgusting - this place should be shut down by health inspectors. Zero stars. Would NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I went thru the drive through today around 1:45pm, and the drive thru did not have many cars in front of me, I believe it was only two. Anyways, the wait - was outrageous, but I figured the service would be pleasant to make up for that, and I was incorrect - because the service was also poor. And then when I had left the drive thru and was halfway to my destination already, I decided to pull over because I was hungry, and I opened my sandwich - and it had like almost no meat on it at all, almost no produce, it was so bare. I could have easily paid what I paid today, at Togos or any other sandwich place and would've gotten a good quantity and quality sandwich. I'm glad this place took over the old Krispy Kreme location! What better business than Panera? I love this location simply because of the easy access from all the major cross streets. There is plenty of parking and they even have a drive thru window! How cool is that? I frequent the Panera in Roseville and we have neither (great parking or drive thru)! No offense, I still love this chain. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always easy to find a clean table. My recent favorite to order is the Thai salad with the Thai soup, delish! I needed a place to kill time and this was the best place being in the area. I didnt want to go to a starbucks or a mcdonalds to pass the time away. This was the best alternative to feel cozy and relaxed. It's very spacious and clean. There were a lot of tables and to my surprise, they have a lot of customers. I ordered a chocolate chip bagel and hazelnut spread on the side. I also ordered a cheese pastry and hot chocolate. I was already full. I couldn't finish my cheese pastry. Nothing worse than getting food being sick and they forget one of your soups. Portions are extremely small and barely anything in it. Foods overpriced and overrated. I brought my family to this location twice in the last two weeks. Both times the restaurant was overrun with non-paying customers. Many people sitting in the prime spots in the dining room, hogging the best tables, hogging the electrical outlets, stealing drinks from the soda machine. When I come to a restaurant and spend $100 for five people to eat, I don't want to be surrounded by a bunch of freeloaders that make the dining room stink. I get it, times are tough but it is unacceptable for Panera to continue this practice of ignoring the dining room and letting the less fortunate control the enjoyment of all paying guests. At our two visits I recognized 3 separate customers that were there on both occasions, sitting in the same locations and apparently never moving all day long. Sad Day! We are a family of 9 so my husband and I rarely get a date night, but when we do we usually go to Panera because I love the salads. Tonight we went and my husband didn't get any bacon on his mac and cheese, they were out of the bread for the sandwich he wanted so he chose something else but they still gave him the wrong bread and they didn't give him any butter for his baguette. Saturday evening at 6:pm The Manager Alejandra S. Is the BEST manager at Panera. I had a $10 Bonus Giftcard that expired January 31, 2021 and was unable to use it due to an injury. I wrote Customer Service back in February and they said they will add the $10 to my account but they did not. I have the email and showed it to Alejandra S. but she just took my word for it and gave me my $10 toward a meal. I have been going to Panera for over 20 years since I lived in Chicago and still enjoy the same Asian Sesame Salad(they briefly discontinued it but brought it back). THANK YOU to Manager Alejandra S. I've have been coming for several months to the Citrus heights location and I've noticed every time I come there is a mistake. whether I come inside the restaurant or if it's through the drive-through, it never fails this time like I always order. I order the same thing every time I order my salad with chicken I get home. There's no chicken on my cob salad so then I called then they're like oh well you ordered it and I said no I did not and of course their employees are gonna say otherwise because they're trying to cover their own ass. I know how this works. The customer service sucks and obviously it's a problem if every time I come in for the last several months and they screw up my order it's not a coincidence. The last time I came inside the store they screwed up my son's order the time before that I come home. They didn't even give me salad dressing then another time I come they say oh order this salad because then you'll get the avocado and chicken but then when I asked it have the egg on it? They come to find out I get There's no egg on it. I don't like doing me bad reviews, but this is a constant problem so this needs to be fixed and thankfully the manager did give me a free solid but when she keeps saying that, I said I didn't order it with chicken, which is a lie because the first thing I said was I want chicken Cobb salad with avocado on it. Ordered a Caesar chicken salad like I always order for my son as well. I never order a salad without chicken on it.. Anyhoo, I arrived at Pānārium to find an empty lobby with 3 gals behind the counter with backs to the lobby and fully engaged in conversation (no doubt about the merits of steaming bagels versus boiling them). I waited for someone to greet me. Tick-tock, tick-tock. Time passed slowly as the conversation continued. Eventually, one of the gals turned her head, looked at me, then turned back around to continue the conversation. I should have left at that point...but having skipped lunch I was craving a snack in that in-between meals time. Eventually, I was greeted and I placed my order for an Asiago bagel, double toast. Then things went further south when I was told that the only cream cheese choice was plain ol' cream cheese. What the smear?!? I later found out it was due to a Listeria scare...but this wasn't shared by the cashier. More time passed. How long does it take to slice a bagel and toast it? I usually see them do this at the counter where you order, but apparently they were too busy and left it to the kitchen to deal with this complex order. I eventually asked and was told they were working on it. Later, I was handed a paper sack... Chuck: "ummm, I ordered for dine-in :/" Mr. Bagel: "okay" (blank stare) Chuck: (returns blank stare) Mr Bagel: "You want a plate?" Chuck: "Please" Results: Bagel was cold, tasted old and did not have a double toast. Whatever...not worth anymore of my time. I went through the drive thru on a Wednesday afternoon at 4 and waited 20 minutes, even though there were only 3 cars in front of me. I ordered a "group" size baked potato soup and a ham/cheese sandwich. The young woman was polite, but it was frustrating having to watch the order screen to make sure my order was correct because she kept getting it wrong. They've gotten my orders wrong in the past, so I'm more vigilant now. My soup and sandwich were both tasty and had fresh quality ingredients, but the prices are on the high side. I would come again only if I wasn't too hungry or in a rush because the drive thru wait time is too unpredictable. Not pleased with the cashier, she continued to talk over us as we tried to decide our order, then had the audacity to be nasty to us after saying 'give us a second', and she repeated herself twice as if we should have memorized your menu and all the items it comes with. After saying 'give us a second' a co-worker walked up and only heard my exchange and the cashier turned to her co-worker and the co-worker rolled her eyes. Extremely impatient and disrespectful ladies. Sometimes when you're hungry and tired you can't always think quickly. Also, no one was behind us in line, doubt she felt any pressure to move us along. Where we waited for our takeout order the lady who handed us our food was very kind; although, one sandwich was not put together well, avocado was smeared on the paper and wasn't placed inside the sandwich...which it could have easily slipped out during the wrapping process, just very messy and soggy kind of gross. I love Panera food and always come to this location since it's down close to where I live. I'm a main customer and always buy for me and my daughter. I mostly now order pick up in cafe since the past times I've been left waiting in my car for longer than 15 mins and to the point I had to be calling that I have been waiting for my food.
