Incredibly slow and inaccurate service despite being pretty quiet. (They messed up my order then messed up the correction).

Food was good but restaurant was dirty (we cleaned off our table, crumbs and paper on floor, don't get me started on the bathroom) and staff was rude. They weren't busy so shouldn't have been such a mess. I have a wheat allergy and forgot to get my dressing on the side- I asked the expo/kitchen employee about the dressing and she didn't know if the salad dressing had soy sauce, said it had soy in it and I asked her for it on the side as soy sauce has wheat and she said it was already made- luckily I ordered soup and just ate that. I feel bad for Columbia residents. Panera in Greenville is way better. read more

My go to as far as sandwich shops in the area. I always get their Sierra turkey sandwich. It's perfect! Sometimes I'll do half and half and get one of their soups. I always like to mix it up, but haven't been disappointed quality wise with it. I don't really have high expectations for a place like Panera, which is probably why. On the other hand, I would not get their tomato bisque in a bread bowl again, because I did not get much soup, due the fact that they did not hollow out the bread enough. Oh well. read more

Came in here for the first time thinking it was one of those Japanese bread stores! Wrong..it was more of a cafe where you could get pastries/soup/smoothies. I ordered the soba bowl and it was horrible lol the grilled cheese with bacon was great! Overall this place is pretty clean and they got some tasty smoothies. The workers ALWAYS have nasty attitudes and talk about slow. Got my food this morning and of course it was cold as always. I don't recommend what so ever but unfortunately it is the closest one. Workers need to improve attitudes and that includes "management. read more

We try to make this our stop while traveling because the kids love it. But have never seen such a poorly run establishment. They are under staffed but the place is always a wreck. Garbage overflowing, dirty dishes piled high, it is simply nasty. Nothing pleasant to say about this place. What a shame. read more

Bad attitude manager, when asked for salt from kitchen since the little packets were totally out. Men's restroom a total stink hole, pisssoaked floor, pew. In general the whole place needs to be hosed out, carbet filthy, tables need busing, and employee attitude tune up. Today was my first time visiting Panera. My experience was excellent. The young lady was very attentive and respectful. My receipt has the name of Keyonna on it. I really enjoyed my blueberry bagel and my time at the store. I recommend this restaurant to a few co-workers of mine. Keep up the good work!! Side note the restrooms are very clean and well kept. Panera is hit or miss. The food is really good but the customer service leaves much to be desired. There have been several times where my order has been messed up, but the manager is really great and helpful. I just wish his employees could act the same way. read more

The cook at this restaurant was very rude. Our "toast" wasn't toasted so we asked them to toast it. She gave attitude and was rude about it. Definitely lack in the customer service skills. Food was mediocre. I would not return. read more

I have tried multiple time to give this location a chance and each time it disappoints. The food is "ok" but the wait time and customer service is not slightly acceptable. There either are too many cashiers and not enough food prep. Or 1 cashier and 1 food prep person. This management needs an overhaul. read more

I've eaten at Panera quite a few times. Other locations are usually better than this one, but none live up to the hype. I want to like Panera, but they always ruin it. This Panera is always dirty, both floors and tables. On my most recent visit, I ordered the over-priced Baja mac and cheese and French onion soup. The avocado on the mac and cheese was almost totally black. When I picked up my order, I pointed that out and they did replace the avocado. With attitude. The prep person stared at me while scooping some fresh avocado out of its skin. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese itself had no taste whatsoever. The pico de gallo and avocado was the only flavor. The French onion soup was tasty but had only three croutons and a tiny sprinkle of cheese. I am done with Panera. read more

I come to this Panera on a weekly(ish) basis and have never been disappointed. The employees are always courteous, even friendly, and have never gotten my order wrong. Service is fast - although I have admittedly never been here during rush hour - and the healthy options always make it worth coming back for another visit. Not a fan of the soba bowl, I stick more to the salads, soups, and sandwiches. Can't go wrong there. read more

Each time we come here we hope for a better experience since it's a chain restaurant that stays fairly uniform across the country, but this store is the worst I have attended. Food is routinely cold, coffee is typically cold, and staff is generally understaffed even for the few patrons that come in. The staff also rarely knows how to make their coffee drinks on the menu and has to be corrected multiple tones we have been here. read more

Too bad you don't have a 1/2 star rating. We ate lunch there today and it was one of the worst eating experiences ever. I work next door to Panera, so I go there often. I am consistently impressed by their service--the employees are friendly and fast and accommodating to individual requests. The bagels are delicious. Some of the other foods are a little expensive, but they taste amazing and are a lot healthier than fast food. Tip to save money: if you bring your own cup or re-use a Panera cup, you can get coffee or tea or any other drink for 99¢. read more

There seems to be a common theme at Panera, regardless of location. The food is excellent, but they struggle with the basics. Ran out of coffee (not just one kind....ALL coffee) 20 minutes ago. Still waiting. If it were just the current location I'd say they have an isolated problem. But dealing with such basics is common at all Paneras I visit between Texas and South Carolina. Seems obvious it's a management issue rather than any one location or staff. If the bread weren't so great I wouldn't bother anymore, but it's awfully good. read more

I was an employee at the location on Bower Parkway, This company is racist.I over heard the District Manager tell 2 black employees that they have to cut their hair, but nvr mentioned any of that to the white employees with longer hair. I felt discriminated against,&& looked down on for my skin color. They give the black employee reasons why they can't become Shift leaders but promote drivers that have no experience in the store Shift leader positions and raises without going thru leaps and hurdles, and they happen to be white.The Managers are lazy, they don't do their part. The store is disgusting. But that Manager by the name of Heidi is a racist that's why I quit.She followed 2 black employees while they were getting there check and asked if they worked there. She would constantly stare at me and walk past me .I Got tired of going to work feeling like a target. I've contacted HR but they won't repsond. They also had a lawsuit against them of discrimination of the black employees and the employees won their lawsuit.Thats my next approach. I was there for a year and had 7 GMs in that store, Covelli is a horrible company. They focus on the wrong stuff, the store is gross and the GM, the District Manager Heidi and certain shift leaders are lazy..I don't recommend anyone eat there read more

Food is always ready really fast and tastes great! Lately I have been going to study here, and while it gets loud during busy times I am able to drown out the noise with my headphones. They also have a small meeting room which I have been to a baby shower in, seen meetings and study groups taking place in it. The just ask that the group spends $50 on food which can be individually or catering. read more

Decided to try the advertised turkey cranberry flatbread. It was tasty but contained only two quarter size pieces of turkey! Quite different from the four slices shown in the TV add. I also had the broccoli cheddar soup which was delicious. read more

Ordered a sandwich and asked what kind of bread it came on. Was told tomato basil, which sounded good. When it came out, it was on sourdough. I told the food prep worker at the counter that I was told it came on tomato basil, and he said no, they told you wrong. He was vocally irritated at the guy that told me that. I then had to ask to have it changed. He did it, but not happily. Strike one. The floor throughout the place was filthy, with food all over, and this was after the lunch rush when they had plenty of time to clean it. Srike two. Food is overpriced for what you get. Strike three. The only reason I give it two stars is that the food was actually pretty good. Won't return. read more

This was my first time here. I loved it. I love the environment and setup of the restaurant. I went here for lunch with friends. I had the chicken Cobb salad with avocado, frozen lemonade, and a big cinnamon roll which was delicious. Kevin did a great job of explaining the menu to me and helping me make decisions. Thumbs up to him. I enjoyed my time here. Seems like a great place to come to do school work. read more
