Saturday went to an older Panera Bread location. I could tell by the sign and the parking lot, which was smaller with smaller car stalls. My son LOVES Panera so if we are in the area, we try to go to closest Panera. I just wanted to give the managers at the prep area 5 stars for being patient after dealing with demanding customers. We ordered our usual: grilled cheese for son and You Pick 2 for me. This time I ordered the duet; the Tomato soup was so warm and tasty that I wanted another cup! The restaurant had music in the background and was clean and welcoming. Thanks for a pleasant experience, we will be back.

I really like Panera. They have good sandwiches w/high quality fresh ingredients. Bread can make a good sandwich better & for me the sour dough on the turkey gives a nice chewy texture that I really like on a sandwich. You add bacon, avocados, lettuce, tomatoes, & mayonnaise and you have a WINNA. Winna WINNA chicken (turkey) dinna. Very good sammich. The other sandwich that I split Was the beef w/cheese, Mayo on French bread. Anudder winna but not as good as the turkey on sour dough. Both sammiches come wit chips & a pickle slice

The broccoli soup here is delicious, especially that it's in a bread roll, the service was good, very friendly employees, the ambiance was great, very chill and laid back.

This location is right on North avenue and is sorely needing a bigger parking lot. We come here for the sweets and they do not disappoint. You can always choose from an assortment of Bagels, Croissants, Cookies, Rolls and Scones. They are freshly baked throughout the day and there is always a nice selection to choose from. This location is usually very crowded, but they do seem to take care of customers in a timely fashion. There are self serve kiosks on the left side, but, I would not recommend using them unless there is a very long line. I saw people attempting to use them and it took them a longer time to use them than having a real person assist you. Besides, this is only a way to cut back on employees, which I am not in favor of supporting. They do offer soup and sandwiches here also, but, have never ordered any of them.

This Panera needs some major renovations. Place is old and dirty. Also the breakfast is really bad, no taste & very expensive.

This time, the spinach lasagna portion was extremely small. It certainly wasn't worth $15.95 and barely took up half the container; it looked sad sitting in one corner. I usually get two dinners from the lasagna ... not this time. I weighed the lasagnas; the spinach was nearly 4 ounces less than the meat. If your kitchen was running out of spinach lasagna, they should have said so instead of putting an undersized piece in the order. An email to Pompei went unanswered. Look at the attached photos, then remind staff that portions should be the same ... and if there isn't enough, then you don't sell the little piece or you cut the price in half, too. Spouse should either get a free half portion on his next visit or be refunded $8 to his credit card.

I tried an onion, everything, and jalapeño cheddar and I loved all three. I highly recommend any of the breakfast bagel sandwiches. My boyfriend got the Avocado Turkey breakfast sandwich (not shown) and I got the Lox breakfast sandwich. The sandwiches are actually filled with food rather than just a few thin slices. My boyfriend and I split the liver plate and it was amazing. I find it hard to find great liver and this place has some! If you like liverwurst you will like this plate. We got it with an onion bagel. We got bagel chips while we waited and sipped on coffee and looking back I wish I grabbed a few extra bagels to go to try more of the variety they had since the assorted chips were so good. The staff was amazing; being warm and welcoming like we had been going there for years. The interior was beautiful and made you feel at home. This is one of those hidden gems anyone around the Chicago area should try, whether you live here or you're just stopping by.

Would rather support a local business, but not with these prices. The search continues.

Welcoming, comfortable, and the kind of place that makes you want to become a regular. Everything we've tried has been excellent. And honestly, the name alone deserves bonus points. So clever! We cannot wait to try the rest of their menu, EVERYTHING sounds delicious. We have to give a huge shoutout to Katie behind the bar. She makes us feel at home every single time we visit. She's warm, friendly, funny, and an exceptional bartender. I'm pretty particular about an Aperol Spritz, and Katie makes my favorite spritz in the city. She also makes an amazing mango margarita and a fantastic spicy watermelon marg.
