After taking a liking to some of the items I saw on their menu, I bookmarked and searched for it on yelp with hopes of visiting at some point. With only 4.3 out of 75 reviews via Uber Eats, I assume that it is new to the Cicero Illinois area, which the restaurant sits in the heart of and not too far from my stomping grounds. During my search through the menu, I took an interest in items like the loaded fries, shrimp & grits, grilled shrimp & fries, bowls, salmon & shrimp rolls, baked mac, grits, pb & j, grilled cheese, and their salmon and shrimp panini. Out of all that caught my eye on their menu, I could have ordered anything, but I ended up ordering the salmon and shrimp panini. It is just something that I do not see often on menus, so I just had to have it. Whether it be Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Most of the time my orders are completed upon my arrival or near complete. By the time I arrived at Street Eats Express my order was waiting for me behind the counter during this ordering experience. Picking up was just confirming my name, ordering platform, and I was well on my way. I am grateful to have had a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again is very high. As for parking, the parking space is shared with other businesses: Dar Nails, Next Level Smoke Shop, Botanica Irma, and Wing Stop. What could be a turn off for some visitors is the trash that is scattered around the entrance of this restaurant, which is the total opposite once you enter. It appears the trash just filters at the entrance because of the restaurant's placement on the backend. There are limited parking spaces in this space considering that it is shared, plus it may feel tight knit if you have a larger sized vehicle. I ended up having to park on the side road during this order experience because I could not find a parking spot within the space. As for my order, I swear my mouth salivated prior to taking it outside of the bag. It was during those moments when I got a smell of it; it was like the more I unwrapped it, the larger the smell grew. Once I opened that styrofoam container and got a glimpse of that salmon and shrimp panini sandwich with those seasoned crinkle cut fries, I was on cloud nine, honey! It was served on thick white bread, without the grilled imprint markings that panini sandwiches are known for, which felt odd. Stacked with juicy shrimp and seasoned salmon, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, onion, and melted cheese! It had a unique taste to it, with a slightly spicy kick and sweet taste. I think if I were to order it again, I would look into removing whatever gave it the spicy kick, but that is just me. In closing, I had a good ordering experience as I have indicated in this review of Street Eats Express. And with that, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all on yelp. My overall experience: The wings were fried to perfection, the sauce was amazing and the catfish was crispy and delicious as well. (Along with each order comes with fries and a drink).
