I see why they are down to 1 star. Both People preparing food had masks off of their noses. This is during Covid when come Friday in our county we are shutting indoor dining down due to high numbers! Gosh at what point does corporate get involved when a place is ran so poorly. I came in to get a cup of chicken noodle soup (it sounded good because I have a cold) and my wife a chicken salad. It was a 25 minute wait and when I finally got home, I received French onion soup. You can tell by looking around the place it didn't seem very clean and the drive through was closed. We've been coming here for lunch on either Sat or Sunday every week for a few years. Something definitely changed about a year ago. Service went from fast and friendly to not so friendly and VERY slow. They messed up out simple you pock two orders on our last three visits. The 1st time we thought it was a fluke, the 2nd time we thought it was really unusual. The 3rd time was theist time. We'll be finding a new lunch place. Well judging by the reviews that are already here, I guess mine will not matter much. Bad customer service. I went through the drive through. My order was wrong two times, I had to pull up and they brought out the correct order. When I got home to prepare to eat, I realized that the avocado was hard. I could barely break it with my hands. I called and spoke to the manager who didn't really seem to want to be bothered. She asked for my name and said he would write down my name so that the next time I came by, she would give me a credit. This place has tanked fast. I go to the Lockport, Orland. Bolingbrook and Darien locations when working, but this is closest to my home. Just awful ... not only bad service, but food too! Went for iced coffee take out yesterday and the coffee was so weak it tasted like colored water. Never organized. Dirty tables and counters with spilled cream. I was the first person in the drive thru line and it took them 30+ minutes to get me my order of 1 group soup with bread as the side. The drive thru attendant asked me and the 2 other cars behind me to pull up and wait for my food after paying. I suspect that this way the company doesn't know how bad the actual wait times are. The group soup was divided up into 2 smaller containers (probably because they ran out of group soup sized containers) and 1 of the smaller containers was 1/2 empty. It has been a while since we have eaten inside. I was very disappointed this evening. Panera BREAD was out of bread. . The dishes were stacked super high and there was generally just an unclean dining area. They gave my husbands sandwich to someone else and had to remake it after we waited 30 minutes for 3 bowls of premade soup and a sandwich. Soooo normally i love panera..I've had a problem twice here once there was a piece of plastic film in my soup from some sort of container and this time I got a cup of water and it tasted so much like bleach I couldn't swallow it, I spit it back into my cup and told the girl at the counter waiting to take orders to tables but she didn't tell anyone! Someone is going to get really sick! It contained so much bleach I had a silky feeling in my mouth, why didn't she tell a manager right away!!?? Idk if it was the ice or the water but the smell and taste contained a good amount of bleach (from cleaning?)! Warning: Do not eat here. They will mess up your order and won't fix it. I was at the Panera location in Frankfort about a week or so back. I ordered a Bacon Turkey Bravo and when I got home the order was wrong. I called in and talked to one of the employees, who said she would write a note down and that I could come back at another time to have my order fixed. The employee didn't even ask for my name, but I provided it anyways because I didn't want to have any issues when I came back. Fast forward to today and I'm told that they can't find this not and they aren't able to do anything for me because of that. I told them that I had a record on my phone of when I made the call and the "manager" asked if I had a receipt or if I knew the name of who I spoke to. In other words, their incompetence isn't their fault, its YOURS. What a shame, I normally liked eating here, but with customer service and unprofessional management like this, I'll never be returning. read more

Come here often, twice a week at least but no more. Usually order online for in store pickup. It's never ready, usually 20-25 minutes for soup and salad! Order never on shelf, always have to ask someone and they have to "hunt" for it. It's usually behind the counter in the prep area. I've spoken to manager who laughs it off and never so much as an "I'm sorry". So rude and uncaring. I'll be driving a bit further but it'll be the Tinley location for me. Frankfort is always out of something, the other day it was lettuce! today it was pineapple. They charge you for the extra oranges even though they are out of something that goes in the salad! How do you give zero stars This is the worst Panera ever, every single time you order "Rapid" pick up that says it will be ready in 10 minutes, prepare to wait 30 mins on top of that to get your food. The service has really gone down. Carry out orders are always wrong, missing items. They are constantly out of items on their menu. I ordered a LARGE size Mac n cheese (it comes in a small and large) It comes with your choice of a piece of bread or an apple, I chose bread. I wait a while with just one car ahead of me. I finally get to the window and pay and receive my food, as I'm about to pull off I check my bag and notice 1. They gave me a small container and 2. They gave me an apple. I reverse and honk my horn and tell them I had bread and a LARGE Mac n cheese, the manager snatches my bag and puts the bread in there and claims that it is a large Mac n cheese. So I pull off and think maybe I'm tripping but I wasn't so I pulled back in line waited another ten minutes with only two cars ahead of me and told them I wanted a refund because this was a small container and I'm paying full price. The manager proceeds to once again say it's a large but it is in the smaller container because they ran out of the large sizes?????? How does that make sense you put a large size amount of Mac n cheese in your small container????????? So I ask for a refund and she proceeds to say I'm not authorized to give you a refund. So I said can you get someone who is and she tells me her general manager isn't there and won't be there until Tuesday, today is Saturday. 1. What manager can't issue a refund 2. What if someone else wanted a refund they'll have to wait until Tuesday? So I will be back there Tuesday to speak to the general manager about a refund . Also to add the manager I spoke to had a disgusting attitude and was rude Update: I called corporate for a refund and they issued me a refund and also told me that the manager was able to issue a refund but just decided she didn't want to give me one. This is by far the worst Panera around. They always forget stuff or give you the wrong item and they take forever.

I admit it, I was wrong. I used to avoid Panera and didn't think they had anything on the menu for me. Mac n Cheese, Steak Chili and the Steak and white cheddar panini are my staples. Worst Panera anywhere. Woefully understaffed with untrained help who clearly do not understand the meaning of the word "work". Bathrooms, floors, tables are typically grimy, sticky or worse. They are constantly out of product, whether it's bread or bakery goods or soups of the day. Take out orders always have something wrong, either missing items, omitted ingredients or worse. During our last visit (and I do mean LAST), in mid-order the counter gal said "Oh, we're out of that chili", turned around, walked away, proceeded to take the chili off the menu board, disappeared, came back, and finished taking our order. To add injury to insult, the Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich arrived looking like it was made in a crossfire hurricane: disheveled, with no bacon, oddly torn lettuce, in crumpled, pre-used paper. This place used to be the berries! USED to be. I stop by several times a week on my way to work and was excited to see the drive through. But in recent months the slide has been noticeable. There are a few people who work the drive through and inside, which knock it out of the park, cheers to them... but their inept or uninterested counterparts leave a lasting impression and detract from the others hard efforts. Incorrectly filled orders, not want to check if you have certain breads, bagels or soufflés available, giving wrong items. Two bottoms come out when you order one bagel (this happens often with the asiago and cinnamon ones - the best parts never come out?!). I've had enough; you get my opinion, a sad faced review and a promise to spend my money elsewhere. I hate sharing sad opinions but I accounted for the fact that we all have bad days. Here, the bad days have become the norm. Listen - I like this place, I like that its in my neighborhood, I like the food. I want it to be here. It can be better. Fix your problems and I'll amend my review, maybe come back and visit. read more
