    Scalloped Happiness!
    Christine D.

Beautiful atmosphere and pleasant experience all together in this fine dining establishment. Though we were at a chophouse, we loved the Scallop appetizer so much that we decided on seafood entrees. I had the Risotto with Scallops: YUM! Yes... the Scallops were seared and seasoned to perfection, and the Risotto was cooked perfectly, too! Again, rather than feasting on a choice of steak, my fiancé had the Shrimp and Pasta Diablo. Now, this was a little too spicy for his liking; but if you enjoy extra hot saucy dishes, he says this won't disappoint. Regardless, the ambiance is beautiful, so classy casual to semi-formal attire is recommended. With that, I highly suggest to put this on your list of restaurants for a date night or special celebration. ENJOY!

This place is amazing. The dining area is spectacular and only eclipsed by the staff. The restaurant staff is exceptionally professional and it is quite clear that the management is invested in their success. The dining area is decorated with a very classy array of chandeliers. The Chophouse is an upscale venue so please in the service of all that is decent please leave your yoga pants and jeans at home and put on a dress or a pair of trousers. You only live once so make it count. The most impressive feature of the Chophouse is that the atmosphere is lively and filled with friendly people wonderful service staff and consummate professionals. I love this place. The food is very good but it is more about the atmosphere and attitude. Tip well and enjoy.

My first time trying the brunch menu at Frankfort Chophouse and it definitely won't be my last! Everything was fantastic--from the beautifully designed atmosphere to the exceptional service. Every employee we encountered greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. We ordered the brioche French toast, skirt steak and eggs, a mimosa, and an Old Fashioned, and every single item was delicious. The food was cooked perfectly, the drinks were on point, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend checking out their brunch if you haven't already!

I am a fan favorite of the lobster roll because it is fresh and you get big chunks of lobster. My other favorite is the fried chicken it is seasoned perfectly and chicken is juicy but the crunchy crust is to die for. **The chicken is free range and this is where they knock it out of the park. Home run!!! The service is amazing and the atmosphere is quaint and perfect for date night! This place has won Southland's best place to eat several years in a row and I can understand why.

We wanted something other than just burgers again, so I proposed seafood. There didn't seem to be a lot of options in this area, but Dancing Marlin seemed to fit the bill and was pretty close. Before going, we looked at the menu, and there really wasn't anything my little one was going to want on the kids menu - there was no seafood for the kids, not even a basic fish and chips. He saw the lobster rolls appetizer though, and that sold him, so we got in the car and headed down. When we went to order, the waiter told us the only thing they were out of was the lobster rolls, but when we asked about the lobster gnocchi that my other son was about to order, they said they could do that, so I asked to speak with the manager. She explained that they only liked to use big whole pieces of lobster for the lobster rolls, and that is what they were out of, but had the smaller pieces they normally used in the gnocchi dish. I asked if she could do the lobster rolls with the smaller pieces, and she confirmed with the chef so we were back in business. The food was all excellent. I had the seared ahi and it was delicious, but was just a small portion for my liking. The scallops my wife had were delicious, but for $38 it was only 4 scallops. Maybe kids who live around here don't want fish when their parents do, but you should at least have a kids portion of fish and chips, or some fried shrimp on the menu for them. I'm not going to order a $27 fish and chips portion for a little kid, but he also didn't come to just eat chicken nuggets or buttered noodles.

Fortunately, it was a Tuesday and I had.reviewed the website to view the menu prior to selecting this restaurant. I noted that there was a Tuesday surf & turf special (8oz filet & 8 oz lobster tail for $56. It wasn't on either the regular menu or the specials list but it was offered. We ordered the oysters Rockafelller which were delicious and 2 surf and turf specials. Both lobster tails were good but my filet was ordered rare but came out medium rare. Our excellent waiter Steve said he would replace it and a new steak came out in about 3 minutes! I was very impressed with the speed of the replacement which was perfect. Nice ambiance, reasonably priced wine list. Excellent dessert list (although we were too full for dessert.). Our meals came with a house salad and large hot baked potato. Note that an 18% gratuity was added as well as a 3.5% credit card or debit card charge (annoying). But overall it was a great meal with great service.

The food is consistently very good, and faithful to what a true steakhouse experience should be. It's an excellent choice for special occasions or a date night -- upscale without being pretentious, and comfortable enough to settle in and enjoy the evening. The service is always great, attentive, and professional, which elevates the entire experience. A standout suburban steakhouse that holds its own against the big names downtown. Highly recommended.

The parking lot was full when we arrived but thankfully there were two unused handicap spaces. After parking and entering the reception area, we were seated promptly and greeted by Debbie, our amazing server! She was so gracious and welcoming. I especially admired the fact that she could recite the specials (there had to be 15 of them, or so it seemed) without batting an eye! She was so attentive and had a wonderful sense of humor. I ordered the mediterranean salmon with au gratin potatoes and green beans, and my husband had the very huge prime rib with twice baked potatoes. We both enjoyed French onion soup for appetizers. The salmon was delicious as well as the potatoes. My husband raved over how perfectly seasoned his prime rib was but could only eat half of it as the size was enormous. He enjoyed a Moscow Mule and I sipped a glass of pinot noir. For dessert, I ordered a slice of New York cheesecake with raspberry/blueberry topping while my husband had a slice of chocolate cake. The desserts were awesome and Debbie made a fresh pot of coffee so we enjoyed our cups of java with dessert while enjoying the relaxing ambiance. Songs by Frank Sinatra played softly in the background while you could hear light laughter and various conversations. Happiness and relaxation filled the room. I didn't want the evening to end. My husband paid the bill, while Debbie packed our leftovers. I had such a relaxing time. Debbie's demeanor and professionalism as well as the delicious food and ambiance are reasons I will definitely be back. If you go, ask for Debbie, and be prepared for a wonderful time.
