Such an awkward setup, with the registers split up, you don't know which are open and they didn't bring my order to the pick up side in the back corner... The staff were older ladies this morning, all moving slow, seemingly overwhelmed by the speed of the job and sniping at each other asking for help... Just a horrible experience, sorry. Overfilled my smoothie so I'm guessing that's why an open topped, bubble-style lid was put on it?...which is not a big deal unless it gets on my clothes later. I will avoid this store in the future. Paid almost $30 for a salad and chicken tortellini. The Salad was old and slimy and the chicken tortellini was clearly microwaved and dumped in a bowl.. not even mixed or evenly cooked, half the tortellini was plastic hard the other half was soggy.. Slow. Delayed. Waiting. 3 words that instantly come to mind when I think of the Franklin Panera. Went in tonight (Tuesday) and not one person in line in front of me. Took over 10 minutes to wait for a salad and a panini and absolutely no acknowledgement of the wait by the staff there. Almost every time I go, they mess up my order too - chicken missing from a salad, I ask for bread on the side and get chips, etc. Terrible...just terrible. read more

This location is overpriced compared to other local Paneras ($2-5 more per meal than say Plainville or Milford) They also forget to add a pickle and chips with meals that should come with them. Then they have the audacity to argue with you when you complain about not receiving the food items you should have gotten in the first place. They also serve much smaller sized portions and miss critical ingredients (For example a 6 cheese grilled cheese with one piece of cold cheese on it! Or a tomato mozzarella melt should have basil leaves, tomato slices and sun tomatoes in adition to the cheese, this location will just have a piece of cheese and a slice of tomato. If you are in the area skip this Panera and drive a few minutes to Plainville or Milford you won't regret it. read more

I had an order totaling over $30, and after an incident with my card being rejected, let me just say I have NEVER met a more sympathetic, kind, or caring staff/management. On the way back from dental work on a rainy cold day, all I wanted was a bowl of soup. My husband is not a panera fsn, but was being nice as I was feeling miserable. The woman taking our order said that they didn't have chili or soup since some equipment wasn't working. I explained that I really hoped for something soft due to my dental work. I'll have the pasta. Don't have that either, like I would know their kitchen equipment. So I ordered a pick two. When I picked up the order, the salad was wrong. Turns out, the order taker interpreted Asian chicken salad as grain salad. We ate our lunch, and as we exited the dining room, I saw that many people had soup and pasta. It's amazing to me that in the 15 minutes we were there they fixed the equipment and made the soup and pasta. They definately lived up to these yelp reviews. read more

The service was awful! I asked for a pick two and she, in return, asked for a size. I gave her a size questionably only to realize that she did not give me the price of a pick two! She gave me a large Mac and cheese (full price) and a tiny plastic cup of soup. Normally at a REGULAR panera, you get everything in a bowl unless you're taking it to go. They forgot my son's chocolate milk, the container with Mac and cheese had a strange purple substance and the staff kept taking the trash out while I was trying to eat. Called at 9:40 pm and asked what time they were open until. The lady responded that they closed at 10. I then asked if I could place an order to-go and she said that they weren't taking any more orders.... Then why did you say you were open until 10. I then asked if I came in to the store in 5 min if I could place an order there. She said no. Was there Tuesday morning @ 6:10 am anticipated buying some Artisian bread to go with the home cooked chili the day before. When I got there door was locked even though there wete 2 clerks on duty. One behind the registerl, the other on the floor. Knocked on door then window loudly, clerks looked up but would not open the door. It was Ok compare to other locations. I wasn't impressed with their customer service. Mainly young people working there and it looks like they don't have the proper training. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte and it was good. I really liked that it was very quiet at 11AM compare to some other locations that are very crowded and you would have a hard time finding a seat. We tried to order online for a family gathering. We tried on both the computer and a phone and the order didn't go through. However this wasn't clear so we tried to call 10 times. The phone would ring for 5 minutes before ending the call. We then drove to Panera to speak to a manager and they finally told us that the order didn't go through. She also said that their phone is "acting up". Not convenient. read more

One of the best options available if you are catering a meeting. The sandwiches are always good and there is a significant variety to meet all tastes. Along with the excellent chips, large cookies and well made salad it makes for a very pleasant meeting lunch. read more

Not what I'd expect from a Panera. They told us the chicken was still frozen (at 3:00 in the afternoon), and my Turkey-Avocado BLT had no avocado on it. The water tap was broken. Choose another of the many nearby places for lunch instead of this Panera. read more

This Panera location makes me sad. The food is as good as any other location, but the staff... While everyone working here seems pleasant enough and friendly, the fire under the butt part is missing. I frequent this location throughout the day on weekdays as I work nearby. No matter the time of day, there is never ever a dedicated person working the register to take orders. The queue is always chaos with customers waiting, typically 5-8 people deep. There are typically 8 Panera workers spinning behind the counter, none of whom are greeting or helping customers in any way. Someone needs to manage this front of house! Dedicate a person to the register, maybe even 2 during rushes, dedicate another to toasting bagels CORRECTLY (and not scraping burnt edges off and passing it on to unaware customers in front of me as I watch). Learn to TRIAGE! If I have to walk behind the counter to find a person to request service at this location one more time... I swear... read more

Busy Panera at the shops in Franklin. We went on a Saturday to pick up the business order that we had placed on Tuesday. It had a due date of 10:30 that morn...I had even spoken to Deb (one of the mgrs) while doing the order online, so she knew it was on its way. When we arrived, nothing was done...no sandwiches were made and the manager said that they had no pending orders in their e-mail. Good thing I printed the receipt & brought it with me. Eventually, she found it (mistakenly filed under the following day's orders) and she apologized profusely, promising to have it done in a 1/2 hour. Veronica was the manager who rallied her team together & we were walking out with 20 sandwiches, 4 salads, chips & assorted cookies 45 minutes later. Veronica was very nice and realized the mistake was theirs, it was tough to be angry with her. She made it happen & in result, even though it took longer for us to get, our employees were pleased with the luncheon. We'll go back again but I'll probably doubly make sure that our order's under the correct date prior to. read more

I wish I read the reviews before ordering online. After having trouble even locating our order they forget the salad. Drive back, get home, and it's definitely not a full salad. The baguettes weren't as good as other locations, which is weird but they had almost an Italian bread type of texture. read more

The store wasn't that busy but the kitchen was obviously in the weeds. Service was slow. Soup was cold and thick. The Sonoma chicken stew looked like puree'd baby food, flavor marginal, thick and cold. Turkey cranberry panini was lack luster. The bread is good but you need to pay attention to what goes in the middle of it. Soups have taken a nosedive from what they once were. You need some serious culinary attention. The Franklin Panera has horrible service. My last four take out orders have been incorrect from incorrect soup, missing bread, missing sandwich, no salad dressing and not apples in the salad. I've been to many Panera's, because it is my favorite place to eat. I was in Franklin and I decided to go this Panera Bread, the people seemed nice, but their proportions were horrible! I got a Napa almond chicken salad sandwich and I got more lettuce and tomatoes then actual chicken, it was a waste of money for just a plate of lettuce. Hey Panera, I have been eating at your establishment for a while since i live right down the street and am not a fan of the other ast food around. Over the past year I have realized that the prices which are already high are staying the same and the serving size is getting smaller and smaller. It started with getting a cup of soup to go, where when I got home the cup of soup consisted of about a spoonful and a half. Good thing I spent about $7 on it. Since then I refused to get Panera to go unless I was getting a sandwich. Today I got a sandwich to go with a fountain drink. I was handed a cup about the size of a large shot glass and while looking at the price of my food noticed that about 6oz of fountain drink had just cost me around $2.50. This is absolutely ridiculous and I am no longer going to this Panera location. I have been to others where the serving size is perfect (im not looking for a feast) and the prices are the same. To anyone reading this, I definitely recommend Panera, but the one in Franklin is a huge rip-off. read more

Second visit to this location...another disappointment. Customer service is poor at best. Beverage station cluttered and not well designed. Hot water should be hot otherwise it's iced tea. And they ran out of ice for cold drinks by noon. Love Panera, just not this location. read more

they never get the order right 9 out of 10 times you phone in they say 20 minutes you go there and they haven't even started it another 20 minutes later you get your order. you pick up your order and they forget to give you half. today half salad forgotten for the 3 rd time, they offer to drive it to me at work. this salad is about half the size it usually is and maybe 6 bites. refuse to order from them ever again. and the kicker soup with no spoon either. great service a joke from a no so great manager read more
