Quick but satisfying lunch with my daughter on a busy Saturday. In my opinion, the food I typically order here is better when "eating in" compared to takeout. Takeout has never been 5 stars. Today the food and value were five stars, which is a high rating for a chain restaurant from me. This Grenville location is spacious, and we selected a nice booth near the back. Our order: We both had the same "You Pick Two" --Chipotle Chicken Avo Melt Smoked, pulled chicken raised without antibiotics, smoked Gouda, fresh avocado and cilantro, zesty sweet Peppadew-peppers, and chipotle sauce. And --Apple Fuji Salad with Chicken I always get this salad, but it was my first time ordering the Avo Melt. It was excellent! The freshly sliced avocado slices (several) complimented the pulled chicken pieces and the mildly spicy chipotle sauce. As always the freshly made roll was toasted perfectly. Every bite was perfect, and we finished our half sandwiches. Fuji Apple Salad with Chicken is my favorite. --Mixed greens, crisp romaine and lettuce blend tossed in a sweet white balsamic vinaigrette, topped with grilled chicken, grape tomatoes, red onions, toasted pecan pieces, feta, and apple chips. The dressing is pleasing to my palate. The bits of nuts and apple chips add nice crunch. This dressing is available for sale in markets and Target along with a couple other Panera dressings. First time here at this location! Food/Drink: The steak paninini and soup combo was great! I actually love their tomato bisque. Dinning Area: Pretty large, open, Plenty of seating! Prices: Relatively expensive. Got the combo and a drink and tan up the bill to $16.43. Parking: Plenty of space, and a private lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were kind of clean and medium in size. This place is nice for a quick lunch I ordered Broccoli Cheese Soup and lemonade to share with my DH which was served with hard crusted bread. It was pretty good but tasted a little flour lumpy. I have a slight addiction to getting the French Onion soup in a bread bowl; with a side of bread. Their Chicken Caesar Salad is perfect, and go straight savage with a side of baguette for extra croutons. Carbs are a myth made to hold us back from peak deliciousness. Don't let them win. Anyways. I've had a few different sandwiches too, and I'll say I wish they were a little bigger. I don't have a problem paying (what I feel) is a lil' extra because I can taste the freshness every time. This review is for their rapid pickup service. The food itself is great when we get what we order! Keep in mind, it's about a 10 minute drive from my home to the restaurant. I place the identical same order each time: two identical sandwiches, two identical soups and two identical cookies. We have tried the rapid pickup a few times. First couple times it was totally fine, the second time they gave us the wrong soups and we had to drive all the way back to replace them, and then there was tonight... my husband came in with the food and they pack it all in so nicely, but one sandwich was completely missing. I called and jamie (the manager) answered. She offered me a voucher in the mail for the missing sandwich and I told her this was our only dinner so she said he could come back for the replacement. Now, she doesn't know this, but my dog has been hospitalized the last 24 hours and we just didn't want to cook. I was really looking forward to a delicious meal with my husband that we didn't have to fuss over so we could relax and continue to just focus positive energy on our baby. Prices have gone up in recent years but quality makes up for it. Clean establishment and courteous staff. The little fireplace inside makes it cozy in a cold day. The soups are very good. My only issue with this Panera, which is probably true of all Paneras, is that if you get a Pick 2 with a sandwich, the sandwich half is often super small. And Panera isn't exactly cheap, so these little small portions are frustrating. read more

Disappointed...ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The bowl was a good size, the amount of soup...skimpy. The bowl was filled maybe half way...mostly broth...a few noodles and pieces of chicken. Panera is a healthy alternative to most of the other chain restaurants. The prices are reasonable to other fast food, but the food is better quality. Have you tried the egg white mediterranean sandwich? Really good! Salads are solid and you can alter the ingredients if you don't like some of the items. Sandwiches can be make to order too. Some of the complainers on Yelp are petty - the prices cannot be beat for healthy fast food. If you want to indulge, get a bread bowl. Or a bear claw. Or the mac n cheese. Just found out this place gets their sandwiches already made and shipped to them; they just heat it up. Not made in the kitchen. I just ordered 3 salads; the total was $27 dollars. i got a full meal (lunch + appetizer + desert) for $23 dollars at the sky port diner! I don't like their prices. I ordered one of the salads to be a half and not a full and it came in the smallest container. i ordered their new Strawberry salad and it came with just 4 cut up strawberries and two strips of cheese. Went to the drive through for a smoothie. I waited 10 minutes for it. I watched a worker try and split two smoothies evenly...my cup ended up with only half of a smoothie. The worker proceeded to just fill the cup with juice instead of making me the 5$ smoothie I paid for. I got to work and opened my bag thinking I would have a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese, nope I got a bagel. Went back and told the lady at the drive-through I got the wrong order it took them another 12 minutes to get it ready. I get back to work and noticed it was wrong again! They gave me a Sausage, Egg, and Cheese! So frustrating. Ripoff!! Prices are High and portions are SMALL. IOrdered a you pick 2 meal of half an Italian sandwich and a French onion soup a drink and .99 cent baked good .The other person in my party ordered a you pick 2 of macaroni and cheese and broccoli cheese soup a drink and .99 cent baked good. What we were served was appallingly small for the size and price to the point that I thought there had been a mistake. We each bought our meals separately and the sandwich meal was 13 and change and the other meal was 12 and change. Upon looking at the receipt it shows they price each thing separately in the pick 2 so it shows what each item cost. The half sandwich was 5.00 and change and was nothing more than 1 half slice of cheese and 1 half slice of salami with a sliced pepper between 2 slices of bread and was tiny. I could have gone to a real Italian deli and received a huge sandwich for that price. The macaroni and cheese was also small as was the soups. I have noticed they also changed the plates and bowls they serve the soups and sandwiches on. Soup bowls are half the size but still the same price if not higher. We use to come here occasionally for the you pick 2 and portions were good for the price. I will no longer be a customer of Panera bread because of their high prices and VERY skimpy portions. read more

Went on a Sunday night for a quick dinner they had a sign on the door that they were closing at 8 instead of 9pm so they did not have enough mac and cheese to fill a reg. size order and we had to be refunded for the reg. size and then the charged us for the small size. I went here opening day and have to applaud their management efforts as usually there is a lot of confusion the first day, especially with a drive-through added into the mix. The service was timely and the food quality was a little better than other Panera Breads. This is a good addition to the Glenville area. 3/5 is going to have to be my limit as this is a chain restaurant. read more

As a business owner myself I hate posting negative reviews but this Panera is not where it should be. Working and living in Glenville there are not a lot of food options which has forced me to frequent Panera. I do not mind their food but the drive thru is so inaccurate I am not sure why they are so inefficient. Out of 20 times of going through the drive thru maybe twice they have gotten my order correct. They either forget stuff or just do not get the order right. It is a shame because like I said I do not mind the food. Maybe if you go in to order it is not as bad but being a busy person I like the option of the drive thru. I wish they could just get their act together. read more

If you go in and order, your order is usually 100% correct. If you are going through the drive thru, expect your order to be wrong. I've went through the drive thru 4 times and have had my order correct 0 times. I usually go through the drive thru after my morning workout. I always order an egg sandwich with 2 eggs over easy on whole grain bread. Then usually a drink or smoothie. I've gotten 2 sandwiches each with one egg (double the carbs), 1 egg sandwhich with 1 egg, and two times egg sandwiches with meat (which I had to throw away). They also never give you a receipt even if you ask for it and they say it's in the bag (it's not!). So I get home and want to drive into my egg sandwich and it's never what I ordered. I had to throw away the ones with meat on them so I don't get sick and I have no receipt to complaint to the manager with. They either need to get new microphones for the drive thru or increase the text size on the sign outside so I can read the order. Honestly, how hard is it to get the right order? 1 or 2 times a mistake but all 4 times it's been wrong. read more
