Half Cuban, bowl of French Onion Soup
    Peter P.

I tried out their online ordering system and a half sandwich & soup, and my review is mixed at best. The order worked pretty well. I chose the "Order From My Table" option which prompted you to enter your Table #. T his helps them locate you when they bring out your food. They still confirm that you are receiving the correct order by checking your last name which is automatically added to the ticket by the app. My half Cuban sandwich was pretty good. However my cup of french onion soup was lukewarm.

I came here during the height of breakfast during GenCon so this place was a little overwhelmed and hectic. All in all though - the staff did a wonderful job accommodating the out-the-door lines that never seemed to die down. As a Panera - this place was exactly what I expected it to be. No better and no worse. I'm not sure there's much more to add...

Tried this out for Valentine's Day and it did not disappoint, interesting setting but hey it works…read moreand the table was somewhat private and was able to carry on a good conversation, the crab cake was full of lump crab and the pork chop was cooked to perfection. Amazing food and the service was too notch.

Service started with a tea box presentation of options: 3 black tea varieties, 2 green, 1 white, an oolong and 2 no-caff herbals. The tea box had descriptions and tins of the tea so you could take a sniff at your choices. We opted for the The du Hammam Noir black tea and Bai Mu Dan white tea. Teas were steeped in their individual pots and served with a timer for proper steeping time. After a cuppa or two, out came the trays: a tier of savory finger sandwiches (cucumber, chicken salad, egg salad, and smoked salmon), desserts (raspberry mousse chocolate dome and strawberry princess cake), and pastries (mini scones with strawberry jam, mini macarons, and tartlets). The sandwiches were excellent, but, unfortunately quality went down from there. The desserts were alright (would have loved the raspberry mousse if the dome was dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate) and the pastries didn't have the right texture - macarons were light, but didn't have any chew and the scones were dry. An overall lovely tea experience in a gorgeous hotel with lots of natural light. Highly recommend taking the elevator up to Astrea for a rooftop cocktail afterwards!

If you're hunting for fresh sushi in downtown Indianapolis, Mt Fuji Japanese Cuisine delivers. We…read morecan't recommend the sushi enough, even the original/specialty rolls were excellent. The fish was so fresh, and you could genuinely taste the nori, which makes a huge difference. We branched out and tried the Kumamoto oysters too. Worth it. They're tinier than your typical oyster and came with a range of flavors from the seasonings and sauces. Honestly, we wish they'd been served more simply because we wanted to compare them to the ones we've had in Japan, and all the sauce made that tough. Still a fun order though. Skip the Seafood Pot, in our opinion. It tasted like Bird's Nest to us and just wasn't anything special compared to everything else. Bottom line: come for the sushi. It's the standout, and it's what'll bring us back. With ramen, hibachi, bubble tea, and a full bar also on the menu, there's plenty to explore on a return visit.

It looks appealing on the…read moreoutside and, walking in, also has nice booths, some tables, and a unique, beautiful, large bar/sushi counter. The restaurant presents like a higher-end sushi house, but this is a little mismatched with the slightly loud 80s pop tunes streaming from the speakers. It seems like instrumental soft Japanese stings would be more appropriate. Also a little mismatched in the ambiance is a giant TV screen on the back wall (near out table), and large TVs over the bar area. They just don't "look right" with the tables and interior décor. The menu seems on par in price and offerings for similar-style sushi houses. We split edaname($6), I got the sushi dinner ($23) and hubs got the special lobster & seafood clay pot ($36). I drank water and he had 1 diet coke, so everything with tax + 20% tip came to $90. The food is presented beautifully, and tasted good. Both dinners had choice of soup or salad, and we each got ginger salad. We're lovers of ginger dressing. This one was ok - tasted good but could have used more, as I has lots of un-dressed lettuce in the bowl. My sushi dinner was fine but nothing extraordinary. For the "special" lobster & seafood clay pot, presentation was again beautiful, aroma and taste were good, nice sauce, but it was a little underwhelming in both seafood contents and amount. That being said, we had a small amount of leftovers from the hub's dish (some rice, sauce and veggies), and they present very nice takeout bags with a thermal lining. We actually ended up giving the container of food to a homeless man downtown, so I did not eat the leftovers, and, admittedly, it was not enough for a full lunch. So overall, while the food was very pretty and also tasty, we have a lot of other sushi options that give more bang to the buck for our quantity and atmosphere preferences. #yum #ReviewsByRL
