This is my secret chain restaurant addiction. I can rationalize this problem by letting you all know I don't get any of the delicious looking baked goods or bagels that are seductively displayed behind the drool glass guard. We go here when we are poor and/or really want a huge salad. During the winter I do require some broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl on occasion. After a long day of shopping at the thrifts, sometimes I just need a no thinking meal. Voila! Panera! I really want to give it 3 1/2 stars. I can't give them the full 4 b/c there are some better places more deserving of 4 stars. I hang my head in slight embarrassment, kick at the ground with the toe of my shoe, and mumble, "I like Panera." read more

The staff here is incredible! They were warm, patient, and thoughtful. When they're bathroom was closed for cleaning, they showed us another one to use. They also helped my mother when wanted to change her order. So great!! read more

Drink machine broken, no avocado, stale croutons, and the baguettes were out. 15 minutes later, they "found" some baguettes. They were hard and not warm. The worst experience I have ever had at a Panera Bread. read more

They have not been accepting gift cards for over a month. I went there this morning and the girl in the drive thru said we only accept gift cards on one register in the store. I mentioned it was raining and inconvenient to come in because it was raining and kindly asked if she could run the card to the register, she flat out said NO you need to come inside. I asked to speak with the manager, she said "I AM the Manager". I said ok I will leave a bad review. There food is overpriced, their eggs are grade AA and there soup is thawed in a bag; If I didn't have a gift card I would never go. The Panera culture has gone way down, I think they hire a lot of people from McDonalds which explains why things have gotten so bad, and the quality of food has also gone down dramatically. read more

Two parts of plastic fork (not from my fork! ) in my salad!! The salad was good (until i bit on parts of plastic) so was smoothie and soup. Very crowded that day thus very long waiting time. read more

Good service. Great food. I am in LOVE with their asiago breakfast sandwhich. This location is downtown, so I had to pay 50 cent for parking. Thankfully the service was fast. I was in and out. :) I love Panera. My favorite breakfast spot. read more

WOW This place is BUSY!!! It's Panera, like many of the other reviews mentioned, so nothing special... I did try the new BLT and Strawberry Salad, which was pretty filling and delicious. The breakfast sandwich was soggy as if it was steamed. There was a street person sleeping at a table the whole time we were there ( appeared he didn't buy anything ). At least 2 tables had broken legs and were listing worse than the Titanic . Lousy environment, mediocre food. Won't go back to this particular store again. I went Saturday about noon and had the pick two: turkey avocado blt, mac & cheese, iced tea=$12.00. Mac & cheese was good, but turkey sandwich was less than 1/2. Think they're shrinking portions and jacking up prices. Poor value for the price. read more

First timers went to visit this Panera with a long time customer. It was perfect! Although they were starting a new system,, Dylan made everything just right for us! He even took the time to fill us in on the best places to visit within walking distance. He truly went above and beyond. We left full and Happy and will return with our entire group (we had been searching elsewhere for a venue; but this Panera will fit our needs and can accommodate EVERY dietary restriction we have). read more

I'm not usually a jerk nor do I really ever post review but this location is a disaster. I work downtown so I place orders pretty frequently and since I only get 30 minutes for lunch I typically will place it for delivery since there is nowhere to park by this location and it's about a 10 minute walk from my work each way. I have received messed up orders from them a few times and not said anything mainly because there is no way to tell them. I've called the store, no one EVER answers. I've tried to make a complaint online but there's literally nowhere to do it. It makes no sense. Today, I placed an order for delivery and it said it was delivered at 12:45pm. It was 1:15pm and I still had not received it. So I called the store, and shocker, no one answered. I finally had to click the option to talk to someone in catering just so I could get someone to pick up the phone and speak to me. He told me he wasn't sure what had happened but that they were going to remake it and send it back out to me. I said no thanks as my lunch break was already over. He told me he would refund it all and apologized, but that was it. Annoying. read more

The service was horrible!!!!! We got in line at 10:30. When we went to order, at 11:02, we were told that breakfast stopped being served at 11. We were advised by Briana, "you should know it stops at 11". We were then told by the manager, Neil, "well it is after 11". There was no apology whatsoever. We waited for another 45 minutes to actually get our food. It was served cold and the bread was stale. If I could give less stars, I would. Absolutely worst experience ever! We are in for a conference this week and was out for a morning walk when we found this location -- greeted right from the start with a smile and casual conversation as we placed our order. Clean and comfortable place to sit and enjoy our coffee. i like panera....it never wows me....maybe, because i have had it a lot. i think it is really pricey for what you get. things i really like are: thai chicken salad, broccoli cheddar soup, french onion soup, potato soup, sierra turkey sandwich and tuna. i really really like their low-fat strawberry smoothie. i have a hard time not getting it when i go. i think it's pricey at $4....but, it's one of my favorite things there. i always get bread or chips. the apples are always so sad. not sure why they can't get better fruit?! read more

I've honestly never cared or taken the time to write any type of review before, but this Panera location is getting ridiculous. I've been to this Panera multiple times and each time something has gone wrong with my order because they run out of things. I don't know if it's laziness or bad management but currently I've been there on separate occasions when they've run out of bread bowls, begets, cookies, and the type of bread they use to use on the Sierra turkey. I've also been there twice when it took 20 minutes to get a bagel because they forgot about it or just left it sitting out. Each time I go I am reminded about why I hate coming here. I live like 5 minutes from this location but honestly next time will probably drive 25 minutes to the next closest one. read more

I had never been to Panera Bread in my life and my expectations were reasonably low, they did the near impossible and still amazed me, I order a flatbread and they were out of it, their Dr.Pepper was a sewage color and tasted like sugary water which I'll give to them because it was half an hour until close but the WiFi was so slow they actually lost a star because I had to wait so long for this app to download. Even above all this, they would have gotten a decent review if they could spell a name. Their service was meh and the food was a solid 5/10 even though I paid 8 dollars for it. I ordered my meal on the kiosk and forgot to request a receipt and realized it when I got home. Ayla, the manager, was so helpful and emailed my receipt to me promptly after speaking to her on the phone. Great service and great food! This review is not necessarily about the food, but more about the experience. This is now the third time (in a row) that I've come to this Panera location and there has been a seemingly vagrant person who has set up camp in the lounge-type seats to the left of the entrance. The first time, it was someone passed out asleep for he entire hour that I was eating. The second and third times, it has been a person camped out, watching something on their phones with an external speaker turned up very loudly (he's watching the Kardashians, currently. I know because i can hear it. From across the restaurant). In addition to the ransoms, three of the female employees are gathered up front, sitting down, and having a very loud and obnoxious conversation. It's a shame...this Panera is frequented often by guests out of town for a convention and it's just a poor representation of Indianapolis. This will be my last visit. read more

While I usually enjoy Panera, I had a bad experience there today at the Washington St. location in downtown Indianapolis. While downtown for a dance convention, we walked over to Panera from our hotel. We arrived a little after 11:15am on a Sunday, but it was unusually busy with this dance competition in town. We got in line, and the cashier told me because of the rapid pickup orders there would be a 15 minute wait. We needed to be back at noon, but I said it was okay. Well by noon I was STILL waiting on a cup of broccoli & cheese soup & chicken salad. Apparently, they were taking online orders (and also rapid pickup) & placing it in the same line as the customers waiting in the restaurant for their food ahead of us even-how inefficient! They ran out of the soup at noon (after my almost 45 min wait). I ended up canceling my order. The same cashier was apologetic & the manager gave her the ability to give me my money back. But where was the manager??? He/she should have showed their face & offered a gift card or something, at least an apology in person! read more

This location just opened up in the circle centre mall. It's pretty standard lunch fare (soup, salads, sandwiches), and it's very comparable to the Paradise bakery nearby. I like Panera's bread a little better. read more
