    Cranberry Orange Slice
    Brad M.

We enjoyed our lunch, with both sandwiches turning out great. Panera really excels when it comes to their breads. The orange bread slice was super moist and a refreshing pop of citrus flavor. However, the inside could use some attention, with cobwebs in the corners and carpets in need of a deep clean. They only have two tablets for placing orders, and one wasn't working, which made things difficult for the single staff member managing the front desk

Note: I usually give chains 3-stars unless there are other factors that would make me rate it up or down because chains tend to be standardized. "Panera is just glamourized prison food" yeah well when I saw an ad for their baguette sandwiches I had to run and get one. WOW. I forget that Panera has some great breads. And awesome hazelnut coffee. This location is clean and great for studying. Plush seats in some spots, cozy booths in others. And yes you can refill your coffee no one is gonna say anything to you. Service is fine. It's a casual eatery what do you expect

I had a delicious breakfast at Panera Bread today. The employee taking our order was patient, informative and nice. Everything was clean and the restaurant was quiet and not crowded. Will definitely go back.

    Chicken chipotle breakfast wrap

I always come here for when my kids want something and I don't want to cook. Love the variety of healthy options. The kids always get the cheddar broccoli soup and chicken noodle soup bowls and share them. I love that I'm accumulating points and every few weeks I get something for free or a discount. So I never got any of their breakfast sandwiches and I won't a free one, I asked the server what's the most popular breakfast sandwich and he said the chicken Chipotle wrap so I got it. Oh my!!! It was sooo good, I'm glad I know about it now. The wrap itself was so good, then the stuffing was amazing. Chipotle dressing , chicken avocados red bell peppers and spinach. Definitely coming again for it. Note that they stop serving breakfast at 10:30am. I love Panera.

Panera Bread is a sandwich joint with pastries and cookies. Unfortunately, I tried chicken pasta and sundried tomato chowder and that probably wasn't the thing to order here. My friend tried turkey sandwich and he said that it was good. Next time, I need to try a sandwich. They have lots of pastries and cookies here and nice selection of coffee too. This particular location has a self-serve coffee station with porcelain mugs. It's good to see that people still have trust in others. Free parking is available right in the front of the store.

French onion soup in a bread bowl

I mean, it's still Panera...but that being said, definitely one of the cleaner and nicer outposts of the franchise. They have two kiosks for ordering in addition to the counter, and are always super fast bringing out food. You're given a pager-type device which is placed on your table, and that's how they know where to bring your food. My go-to is the French onion soup in a bread bowl. Sometimes at other Panera franchises I'll find that they aren't great about taking enough of the bread out of the bread bowl so I'll end up with like three bites of soup, but they were great about it here. The bread always tastes fresh and there's always an ample selection of baked goods. There's one manager or something, too, who is always running around working so hard and asking customers who are done eating if she can take their garbage or plates. It's little touches like this that can turn your typical fast-casual experience into something at least a little nicer. Extremely clean on the inside with plenty of seating. Also a good amount of parking outside as well. Wait can be a little long on occasion as they do get some sports teams/prom groups/etc from the high schools in the area as well as Cornell and IC, obviously, but the line usually moves pretty quickly.

    Fruit "cup"
    Mary S.

Ordered a bagel and a fruit cup. Cup was barely half-full so I asked if that was right. Worker filling orders didn't look up. When I pressed, without saying a word she went to the fridge and slammed down a second fruit cup, snapping, "Well this is how they all are all so I guess you can have this." Rude rude rude. And fruit "cup" is half a cup max.

The food was cold besides the tomato soup, which was good. I've always heard good things about Panera but this one is not the best at all.

Unique mac and cheese and good gnocchi!…read more I am debating giving the rook 3 or 4 stars... I was not a fan of the salmon mousse... far too salty and I wish it was paired with crisped bread or at least something other than Ritz crackers. I did, however, enjoy the presentation and taste of the macaroni au gratin. The square shape is very unique and I liked the cheese sauce. The lamb w gnocchi was also quite good. Pillowy and soft. The lamb was cooked well. Overall, I would maybe return. I enjoyed the macaroni au gratin as well as the lamb w gnocchi!

Staff was pleasant and quick. The menu is dominated by drink options (cocktails and wines), and happy hour is 4-5pm, which is perfect for an aperitif. The fried chicken is by far their speciality, with the macaroni coming in as a distant second. But while both were delicious, I'd say the best value and taste goes surprisingly to the simple summer salad, which was crisp, sweet, tangy, and refreshing. It's only $10 for a hefty portion of food and I'd order that again anytime (and that's coming from a guy who'd never normally order a salad). My only criticisms are that the Rook doesn't have many entree choices (which may be a good thing for indecisive diners), and that it's very slightly pricey. Otherwise, it's an easy recommend for me.

They have such an extensive merchandise, and a wonderful prepared foods/baked goods section!! I recently tried the "Made to Order" sandwiches, and it was DELICIOUS. I made mine with BBQ seitan, hummus, vegan cheddar, vegan mayo, spring greens, tomato, + condiments on a baguette. So flavorful and such a wonderful size. I've also placed special orders for their cakes and it was sooo good. My family couldn't been believe it was vegan! Outside of their food, the staff is always super friendly and helpful with any inquiries. Additionally, the store is always super clean and never too busy. Staples like oat milk are a dollar more than at Wegmans - so you're paying again, beyond the yearly dues to support the co-op each purchase. Double check your made to order sandwich is correct as you might get a mystery sandwich- think they are in auto pilot when making You are also paying more than waiting for the farmers market and getting produce, say from Stick and Stone farm. People are friendly for the most part but that's is not the primary reason one goes there. They do have some good items to be sure and part of our mix but you are paying a premium but not always getting that in return, so three stars as average quality.

This place does get packed faster than a lecture hall on syllabus day. If you don't time it right, you might be left holding your burrito bowl like it's a newborn, desperately hunting for a seat.
