When I called to tell them it was missing and I was on my way he seemed to instead dissuade me from coming back to pick up my food since they "closed in 10 minutes". I hadn't been to this Panera in a couple years. Previously, it had been always full of trash and uncleared tables so I stopped going. It seemed time to give it another try. It was clean, no trash. About 40% full of quiet diners and folks working on laptops. I got a big bowl of chicken and wild rice soup with a baguette chunk. It was creamy and tasty. The bread was fresh and soft. People were polite. I'm at a Panera Bread regularly. It's my mother's favorite place to eat. I often just get myself a cup of chicken noodle soup and more times then not primarily broth. Today--2 noodles and about 4 carrot bites. It's good broth though. read more

Ordered bowl of black bean soup to go. About $9 for a bowl. Arrived home to basically a bowl of broth with some beans. Drove all the way back to complain. Given new bowl but told that the bean soup is a lot of broth. When I got home more beans in second bowl but nothing like the picture they advertise ( false advertising at its finest) so I strained the first bowl. Maybe a 1/3 c of beans in a black bean soup. They need to rename it black bean broth Never will I order that again! Not sure I will go back again either. This is disappointing the food used to be good read more

They're good at making cold sandwiches out of hot ones. Our party ordered 4 bread bowls and a sandwich. It took a really long time and my sandwich came out cold. It shouldn't take a long time to scoop soup. They also didn't give me the extra chicken I ordered for $1.99. For some reason, we ordered more... it took another 20 minutes for a pick 2. It's not easy finding a nice salad around these parts, so I went somewhere familiar. We have nice Paneras on the west coast and this one didn't quite stack up. It was in a parking backlot, smelled weird and no one was there. The cashier was super friendly and same with the one other worker who made my salad. It didn't feel like the healthy Panera I know, because she was pulling out bins and throwing the ingredients in the bowl. But luckily it tasted just how I remember it :) they totally skimped on the avocado though which is my favorite part. The chicken was questionable too. It seemed like it was pre packed out of a bag verses the fresh chicken I remember. Panera has really gone downhill from where I remember if this is what it's like now. read more

This location needs a new manager! Two days ago I ordered a full size Apple salad carry out but found the bowl just slightly over half full and the dressing cups had one teaspoon each . Today may pickup order consisted of the worst breakfast sandwiches we have ever had from there. The bun was over pressed/heated. There was only 1/2 an egg on one of the sandwich's. I ordered two chocolate croissants (the website stated there were still eight available )but when I picked up my ordered a sticky note on bag said "out". When I asked for a refund on the two croissants I was told they could not give me one but to just stop in for something else later! We have been going here for many years but have decided perhaps paying so much for so little is just not worth it. So sad to see it go down hill so fast!! read more

ACCURACY ISSUES: Placed an order online for pick up. Instead of the bowl of chicken noodle soup I ordered, they gave me broccoli cheddar. They also shorted me a side of bread. QUALITY ISSUES: The flavor quality was lacking for both the Thai Chicken Salad and Green Goddess Salad, and both had droopy, sad greens. The Thai salad was missing cilantro and the greens were inexplicably a mix containing kale and arugula... I think it's supposed to be romaine (that would make more sense anyway). Also, for me the dressing is a complete miss for Thai flavors. The avocado on the Green Goddess was hard and inedible. On the positive side, I did enjoy my cup of chili. CUSTOMER SERVICE: When I called to complain, the staff member was pleasant enough, but seemed confused and unsure of what to do. Seems like training is an issue at this location. read more

Food is average quality. The website is supposed to be updated daily with soups and salads that are AVAILABLE. Today, the website said they have Autumn Squash soup, but on arrival they claim to be out of the soup one hour into lunch. We got a Caesar salad and Mac and cheese, and the Caesar salad was much less full than normal. The plate also contained a random piece of bacon. So disappointed with our Panera; seems like it's poorly managed. I placed my order at 5:00, dinner to go for three people. I waited for 50 minutes and they hadn't even started on my order. I had to ask for a refund as I ran out of time and had to leave. This alone wasn't the problem. The problem was all of the people who had placed their orders after me (and after others) who were getting their food first (take out as well as eat in). These same people were actually commenting that it wasn't right that their food was prepared first. Other issues: - the place is starting to get run down - they play horrible elevator music all day long In general I love Panera. I just wish that our local one was as good as the others that I've been to. read more

Haven't been to Panera for a while and if this experience is the new norm, I won't be coming back. Got a half sandwich, half salad combo. Greek salad was OK, but would be better if the red onions were sliced much thinner. Bread on the sandwich was good--and toasted well--but there wasn't too much chicken and avocado to justify the price. And the taste was nothing special. Add a green tea, and tax, and it was over $15. Customer service and quality of service both start with good management and it's evident that is non existent at this location. This mornings experience was unfortunately everything I had anticipated... the toaster for the bagels wasn't plugged in so my bagel had to go through the toaster 6-7 times and it still wasn't even hot :/. The manager came out and asked the employee if everything was fine and the employee explained that the toaster hadn't been on and the manager just walked away. It would have been nice to be acknowledged and apologized to for the inconvenience. Now for the 2 time eating here we have had problems. First time was a hair in the food. Now we found a small bug in the Broccoli cheddar soup. When we told the management they did a refund only for the one soup. Would not recommend this place to anyone. I believe the most shocking thing was he continue to serve the soup. Located behind Town and County and next to L'auberge, this was our breakfast spot for a few months every Sunday. We'd hit Panera, then go do grocery shopping at the nearby Trader Joe's and Kroger. After a while it became quite apparent that 1. Most of the people that work there hate it, but tolerate it as many are still there. They really don't seem very happy and don't hide it. 2. Cleaning is a hassle and sweeping out of the question. 3. Refilling coffee and cream doesn't happen until 5 or 6 people have to flag down the manager to get more. 4. They cut the Sunday lemons on Friday and put them back out until they're gone or someone has to ask what they are. 5. No one, not even management, has any idea what the ingredients of any given item might be, and have to refer to a corporate hand out to answer. Our Sunday Panera trips are a thing of the past, and even after I filled out a less than complimentary online survey (like they actually read those anyway, I was just trying to win a flat screen or some money or something), this past weekend's visit was just OK and more of the same. read more

My friend and I have come here several times on our lunch hour. Each time seems to get worse and worse. Although the flavor of the food is wonderful, the food portions are getting smaller and smaller each time we go; to the point that the sandwiches are practically bite sized, leaving you still hungry after your $12 meal. The wait times are getting longer and longer, even when the establishment isn't even that busy. They always have several employees working so I'm not sure whats with the long wait times. I wonder if this is a franchise problem because we have had similar issues at the Brown St. location. read more

So disappointing. Panera used to be my got to. Sunday, Tuesdays and Thursdays they have creamy chicken and rice soup. So rich and delicious. I see the Dayton Mall location is closed and I imagine this one will be also soon. Ordered broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl online and creamy chicken and rice soup. Pay extra for the bread bowl but they're out. Are you going to refund me the difference? You'd have to come inside for that. You have everything online just do it. If I wanted to come inside I wouldn't order online and schedule curbside pickup. So no bread bowl no discount. Get home my CREAMY chicken and rice soup soup looks like chicken and stars from Campbell's soup. Watered down like Panera chicken noodle soup. Did you run out and just add water? Food is fine. That's not the issue. The issue is that this might just be the slowest Panera in Ohio. Every single time I come here it's an exceedingly long wait, whether it's slow or busy (then why keep coming?? It's close and I'm a glutton for punishment!). It was quite busy when I came in but I see why people might stay a bit longer.. there's a warm looking fireplace in the middle of the restaurant.. pretty cute. Very poorly managed Panera! I've only been to this location twice and both times yielded terrible service. I placed a "rapid" pick-up order that was supposed to be ready in 10 minutes, but instead took 25. I spent 15 minutes waiting inside the restaurant only to be told then that one of my items was unavailable...Could they have mentioned that sometime in the time that I was waiting there? The manager didn't care, even when I mentioned that I had been waiting so long which caused me to be late for work. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here. read more

I have been to this location a few times before but this visit was a very positive one. The gentlemen who helped me was friendly and very helpful. I loves their frozen strawberry lemonade they use to have in past summers. This year they did not bring it back so when I asked about it the guy said "We can make it for you"! To my surprise they actually made it for me! I will certainly be back after that kind of customer service. read more
