We got off the highway towing a 25 foot camper trailer, and started looking for the location. This particular Freddys is a good few miles off the main highway, very close to the University, and smack dab between what appeared to be some kind of student housing and a strip mall that seems to be on the downhill slope of its life cycle. I have to laugh a little bit when I read the reviews that referred to experiences here with descriptions like "it was the worst thing that's ever happened to me in my life." Lol! If an order mishap at a fast food joint is the worst thing that's ever happened to you, then truly I envy your life. Or maybe you need to get out more... Anyway, not sure how many Michelin stars this Freddy's location has received? But they made a pretty good burger served in a paper box. Washed it down with a big fountain drink and topped the whole thing with a chocolate custard. I enjoyed this culinary masterpiece sitting in my truck. Did what it was supposed to do-- tie me over until our camping bbq dinner for a nominal fee. Of course we'll stop at a place like this again; We always do -- and who knows? The sandwich looked identical to our order + drink ($11.54 + $1. 21 tax=$12.75). We paid $12.75 no chips, compared to $10.99 + $1.21 tax= $11.20 for the Boardwalk special which includes chips. Low rating is because employees aren't trained to automatically provide the lowest price to the customer, or even let the customer know that chips can be included for $1.50 less. And, when asked later about the price difference of the special bundle & not sharing that with us, we were not offered a complimentary (which we clearly paid for) bag of chips. Jersey Mike's product seems no better than Subway or other area fast food restaurants, in particular when comparing coupon prices or specials. The interior has a cute vibe & nice employees but it's not sufficient to compel us to return to this store given our personal experience.
