I went to Panera grab some cookies and head back to work. The young man who rang me up kept touching his mask because he wanted to make sure I could hear him while he was talking. I understood he was trying to provide good customer service--no problem. After ringing me up, he went to the bakery and did not put gloves on or wash his hands and proceeded to get my food. I politely asked him to wear gloves. He didn't ask questions, and put them on, but his co-worker turned and looked at me, and made a rude comment under his breath. I was disappointed in Panera's customer service because I like their food and go there all the time. This was the first time I had this type of experience. I have been sick for the last few days with strep throat (I've been tested numerous times and have been diagnosed as COVID free) so I thought I'd order a cup of chicken noodle soup through the drive-thru. I stopped my car to eat the soup and there was 90% broth and very little of anything else in my dish. I gave them the benefit of the doubt hoping it was just a mistake or a bad batch and ordered another chicken noodle soup. Once again, they gave me the same exact low content, high broth soup. While the food was good, the service needs help. While phoning in a carry out order we were handed off to four different people, and asked for our credit card info three times. Nice staff. Clean environment. Shout-out to the manager, Chris!! She can through again!!! I ordered a 4 pack of chocolate coconut macaroons because it's one of my few gluten free choices available. However there was only 1 in the store so they offered me a different pastry or a refund but I opted for fruit until a server recommended a Greek yogurt parfait instead. Chris directly asked me if the front of the store took care of me and I told her yes! Then she offered me a second parfait! I reminded her that she helped me get a birthday coffee instead of a pastry (because I'm gluten free) and she said "Oh yeah! Welcome back Mrs. Bailey!" Not to mention I needed my coffee fix and Panera has great coffee. I mix the dark roast and the light roast and it makes the perfect blend of coffee perfection (Plus free refills!) I usually only come here to grab a quick bite to drink or eat since it's right by my nail salon. They're just okay here. The wait for food is usually never long. If the line is long, it goes fast. I'm leaving 3/5 stars because there was one time I ordered some broccoli and cheese soup and found a hair in it (I was soooo devastated and grossed out), one time where my macaroni and cheese was still cold, and one time I had my mind set on a bagel with cream cheese but they had no more cream cheese (go figure). Not to mention each time I've come here there's usually no place to even sit. I get lucky if I can find a booth or table. They need a rule that if you are by yourself you have to sit at a single table if there's one available, THEN go to the booths. I'll oftentimes see one person just working on a laptop in a booth and a family of 4-5 trying to spread out at a tiny table (how inconsiderate). Their bathroom is gross too. I do love their lattes, salads, iced teas, and soufflés. I get upset when all the soufflés are gone, as they're first come first serve (lol). But they're def my favorite thing on their menu. They should consider making more than what they offer since they sell out fast; they're missing out on money. read more

I don't frequent Panera Bread, but I have visited in different locations. This time visited to meet someone for a business transaction.When I arrived I noticed the order Kiosk, I found it convenient and ordered. My business transaction was over quite quick, before my order was ready. First I did not know kiosk dine in orders are picked up in a different window in the back pf the restaurant, so when my order was ready I went to the front counter. I told the staff my buzzer had buzzed and they looked at me funny. She asked what I had ordered, so I told her. She looked at me lost, as if she didn't know where my order was and asked me again what pastries etc.. she said they didn't have any of what I was asking, to choose others.. while choosing, another staff came in and said yeah give her 3 pastries her choice, and left. When he came back he said no her order is in the back and asked me to give him the pastries back. He pointed to the back. I went to the back were it seemed to be staff only but was and there was my order on a tray. I have a cast 3/4ths on my right arm, and I ordered soup, and there was no one near to help. So I ended up doing it myself. When I finally sat down I noticed, I had no spoon. I was not going to leave my food by itself on the table when the place was busy, there was no staff to help nor place near by to get utensils. I really enjoy the soufflé and coffee when I stop at panera. We added a cinamin roll and a danish to share. Both of these items seemed a bit dry, and it was only 10:30. The soufflé was passable, but had been sitting longer than it should. Maybe my wife and I should stop having leisurely Saturday morning outings. Even if it is Christmas Eve, food can be fresh. I decided not to get bread for dinner after having our breakfast items come out so blasé. (I just wanted to use two French words in my review!) Even the coffee started to lose its appeal. I'm super excited to have the new Panera in Laurel. It opened on my birthday so of course I had to stop in and order my favorite breakfast sandwich: Mediterranean Egg White on Ciabatta (of course I like to switch it up and add the Multi-grain bread instead). I also got my free birthday pastry and I tried the White Chocolate Raspberry Bread...it was yummy! Every time I've come into the bakery I'm greeted with so many smiles that I feel bad for not placing an order with everyone behind the register lol. I do like the new computer system they have that tells you when your order is being prepared and when it's ready. Makes it a lot easier than waiting for someone to shout out a number. I don't have anything to add on how much I enjoy eating at Panera however I do want to talk about my most recent experience. I stopped by for a late lunch and order a sandwich and salad combo. When I got home my order was not right. I called and spoke to the manager Vince. He was extremely helpful, remembered who I was (EXTRA BROWNIE POINTS) and told me to come in at my convenience and he would take care of me. I came by this afternoon and felt so bad he was on his lunch break - but he immediately knew who I was and took care of my order personally. That made all difference. I really appreciate superior customer service and as long as this new location has a team like this - I will always be a loyal customer. Kudos to this new team and location! This review is strictly about the catering. I catered for a business meeting and it was disappointing through and through. First of all the wrong order was delivered to me. I had to go with the driver to figure out where my order was. I was given the wrong order despite the fact that my name was written on the side of the bag that was still in the car. The disruption of having the wrong delivery and the driver insisting on coming back up and taking what was already delivered and opened lost us valuable time in the meeting that we didn't regain. The food was subpar at best. Soups were OK, salad was wilted with an overwhelming Amount of onions and some of the sandwiches were inedible. They should hire friendly staff. This was my first experience with the drive thru at Panera and I was met with someone yelling at me over the drive thru intercom. As I stated my order the lady would yell at me "what else?", the screen did not show what I ordered so I thought she did not hear me so I again repeated to which she yelled "I already got that, you need to wait for the computer". I was a bit taken aback as she continued to bark at me if I needed anything else. I got so turned off by the attitude I cut my order short. I really like this location. I like the walled sections of seating. It gave me a little more privacy since I had my baby to feed. I also believe I saw an electrical outlet at most if not all tables. Panera is one of my favorite deli/coffee shop chain stores. I always get the same 3 things and the food is typically consistent with taste and I rarely have any complaints. At this location however, I've been here about 6-7 times and a few times the bread has been over-baked so that it was way to crunchy, and I've gotten a couple of incomplete sandwiches put in my bag, so after a long drive back home that's disappointing and they need to step it up on that. However, the staff is very nice and accommodating when they do make any mistakes so that's refreshing. The worst thing about this location is that the WiFi never works. Today is the third day that I've attempted to get some work done on my laptops and NOTHING. It says that I'm connected but i'm never able to actually get online even once the Panera portal pop-up clears. Usually my phone says it's logged onto the wifi for about 5 minutes before it drops as well. They have to fix this because Panera is my favorite place but I also need to be productive. I really did try to give this particular location, multiple chances bc they are conveniently located to me. But, today I am done. Now, don't get me wrong, I've probably been about 5x, and only twice has our food been on point. It's a chain, so what do you expect? I know... While at the pick up station I asked a another associate for clarification of my receipt. The customer service is HORRIBLE! My order was placed at 7:34pm. At 8:55pm still had not received my order so I called and was told to call Door Dash... then I was told "your order is still here!" I immediately said to the young female, "I'm on my way... be there in less than 10minutes!" Upon arrival, the door was locked. I stood outside the front door and called and was told, "I'll bring it out to you." Why did I just observe several employees walk out of the door and I still have yet to receive my order? Customer service is nonexistent! After waiting another 15 minutes, if not longer, I call back and this time, NO ANSWER!!!! I CALL AND EMAIL "customer service" within the next few days but have yet to receive ANY communication. Cancel my coffee subscription, cancel my weekly meals orders and inform my family and friends to do business elsewhere. This Panera Bread's food is good but they always get my order wrong. They always get something wrong with my order. I usually don't have a problem with the workers but there was a worker their the other day that was rude to me. The tables are always gross, and a young man was vacuuming while I was sitting down and asked me to move my feet as well as other customers. I thought that was really rude. I am very pleased with this Panera Bread. I have severe special needs students, and I chose to go to this place for lunch. The staff was very, let me repeat, VERY accepting of my students and their disabilities. They allowed me to eat there, and my students to eat their lunches there as well. It is really hard to find locations to accommodate special needs students and the teachers. A staff member was understanding and allowed us all to come to the Panera, and even offered us cookies for the kids. I felt very welcome, and not judged as I often feel in public settings with our nonverbal students. I really appreciate the warmth of the staff and would be glad to come back again and support this Panera. Special needs is something that is very hard to accommodate as there may be uncertain outbursts that we cannot predict. Thank you Panera! Also, your food is great as always! I usually get great service from all the employees here. There was a new hire who didn't stop smiling and interacted with the customers. Unfortunately, she wasn't the one who took my order. There was another new hire who looked stoic and seemed rather unhappy there. She needs to slow down and listen to her customers carefully when taking orders. Smiling could help as well because she looked frustrated and talked rather mechanically. I'd give a much lower rating if I were to rate this place just on her, but that wouldn't be fair as I know that the manager here is great and the rest of the staff provides good service. read more

I had to constantly repeat my order since he found checking his text message more important than taking my order.
