We took the family (four of us) to eat lunch recently. Mind you, the kids got cookies. The order came to close to $100 and that's not for anything exorbitant. The value (portion and quality) to price here is nonexistent. However, I will say the customer service at this location is great which is worth the two stars. One of the kids also accidentally got the spiked drinks with caffeine and had a stomach ache all night. I had no clue since the spiked drinks were next to the regular teas and sodas, easily accessible. Searched Reddit after to find many posts of similar mistakes and people getting sick from the caffeine amounts in those drinks. I got a chicken avocado melt and when I bit into it all I could taste is basil. The sandwich comes with cilantro not basil. When I went up to the counter to tell them the girl said that they replace the cilantro with basil when they're out. You can't do that without telling the person you're changing the ingredients. If it was someone that was allergic to basil, you guys would have a law suit. And you should never change an ingredient even if you're out. Basil doesn't go on that kind of sandwich. Needless to say I was very upset and there should be stricter rules about changing ingredients without the customer knowing. read more

Had a brief drive-thru visit this morning for breakfast. I haven't been to a Panera in 10 years! So glad I stopped by. I ate a delicious chipotle chicken, egg and avocado wrap with a passion papaya green tea. Everything was so good and as an egg lover I was thrilled my wrap had lots of real eggs!! I'll likely re-order what I had because it's a pretty low calorie meal but I stayed full for awhile! Yesterday, 12/01/2023 was the second time they messed our order. We ordered Citrus Asian Crunch Salad with chicken and the Toasted Steak and White cheddar sandwich. Got home to find out that the salad was just salad leaves with a bit of chicken on top. The lady at the drive thru repeated that our order was for Citrus Asian Crunch Salad. We drove back to Leesburg. The supervisor said that the order was some other type of salad. She replaced it but the salad she gave us was not fresh like we are used to from our past experience. The Toasted Steak and White cheddar sandwich was with white bread, not panini bread as we are used to. It was soft and soggy. This was the second time our order was messed up at this Panera. This location of Panera has partial table service! You can order at the counter or use order kiosks. You do get a buzzer with a number. But when your order is ready, they bring it to your table. I work from home. With lots of littles, that means from cafes. I spend a lot of time at Paneras and Starbucks in NoVA and So Cal and this is the best run location I have been to. Because of my childcare schedule, I have frequently been here from early in the morning until closing, on both weekdays and weekends, so I've seen a lot. The staff is very on top of the dining room and take pride in keeping it as picked up as possible. Of course at very high traffic hours, it's harder to stay on top of, but they are constantly circling the dining room, keeping things in order. I recently developed gestational diabetes, which makes it hard to eat a lot of "normal" food. The Panera app/website has all nutrition info readily available and even lets you see the effect of customization on sandwiches and salads. The staff here has been uniformly patient and ready with suggestions when I'm trying to figure out how to modify other items to fit my diet and are willing to customize even when it's not an option on the website or kiosk. For instance this picture is of their Greek yogurt parfait. They helped me figure out that leaving out the honey and granola and adding some extra berries would make it work for me and then made sure the people preparing understood exactly what I needed. I couldn't have gotten through my last work project and managed my blood sugar this well without the support they've given. Also, because I'm pregnant I drink a lot of decaf coffee. No matter how late it is, they're always willing to brew a fresh pot and even have checked with me to offer me more before emptying. It is a very busy location due to its proximity to the outlets, so trying to find a table during lunchtime on a weekend is crazy, but it's rare to see people not find one. The biggest inconvenience might be the line, but they are always working to move quickly and they have several kiosks available so you can just skip the line if it's too long. Setting up your order takes a little longer the first time, but once you've done it once or twice, it's just as fast or faster than ordering with a person, and there are a lot of customization options for the salads and sandwiches (but not so much for soups and bowls). read more

This review is for today's experience only. We had the caprese sandwich and salad "you pick two" which was 8/10. Customer service and cleanliness was below average for the chain. All the tables at 2 pm had crumbs and food stains on them. But the low point was the quinoa lentil bowl pictured below. It was listed in the pasta/ grain section but I think they just put a table spoon of quinoa and lentil into their French onion soup stock and garnished it with whatever that wilted green leaf thing is.
