I love panera, but this location blows. After reading all the other reviews, I didn't want to believe them. Panera has the name of a great brand and have had great experiences at other chains. Walking in, the greeters were very welcoming. However, once I went to wash my hands, I found cleaning supplies left everywhere. When I walked by the food prep station, I heard employees claiming they had no idea what to do. They didn't know whether or not the food was prepped or not. This got me worried, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Once I received my food, I knew the other reviewers to be true. The food was sloppily put together. Food is decent, but MAN they can't get a take order over two people and get it right to save their lives. Two times within a week, I've $100 worth of sandwiches and salads as a takeout order. Both times the sandwiches and salad weren't labeled, salads were missing chicken, other toppings were missing, and sides were missing and/or not accurate. They need to take a minute to do a Quality control check before they stick the order in the bag. Further they either need to be explicit on any special instructions online. Next time, we go to Jimmy John's and see if they can freaky fast AND accurate in preparing our order. read more

Panera food is delicious and always fresh. But it's pricy so I go as a special treat and I expect my order to be correct. I show up at around 4pm on Friday and the drive thru and parking lots are empty. They take my order fine and then I sit at the window for 10+ mins. Which is fine I'm not in a big hurry. They come and give me my food and comp a sandwich without me even asking. How awesome. I get home and my Thai Chicken Salad has cilantro, roasted peppers, corn, tomatoes, onions and green peppers. Yuck! So I call to get it taken off my orders and they can only help me if I come back to the store. Now I'm 45 mins away and without the very thing I stopped for, the expensive thing I stopped for. But back to Panera. I'm not surprised by the two stars on Yelp and I'm giving them 3 stars. The location on FM3040 in Lewisville is a mess and needs new management. The food is good, but the service is a mess. I've had problems with the app, trying to call and place an order, ordering Inside, and today had a terrible drive through experience. The food here is really good and they make it fast. I always get the steak and arugula sandwich with the corn chowder. The four stars is for the panera driver honking at me.the light just turned green and I was on the gas pedal and the driver honked at me. I don't like speeding and I won't speed.he was speeding a little and cutting people off. I was going to follow him to his delivery destination but he kept weaving in and out of cars. I don't like drivers who honk at me for no reason or drivers who cut people off.There's no need for him to speed at all. This location is definitely one of the better ones i have visited. I frequent this one because I work in the area. Typically I will go through the drive thru for the convenience, the only thing I will say is that they are kind of clueless when putting together the side orders -- for example, if I order chips, they typically give me a baguette and I have to remind them or run inside. If I could leave a review lower than a 1 Star I would! I love Panera USUALLY! Today they completely let me down and I will not be going back! I went through the drive through this morning for a breakfast soufflé, the drive through lady was a bit irritated with me considering I decided to add a green tea jug & an extra soufflé to my order. She proceeded to tell me she didn't have any more soufflés today. I can read people very well, and I could tell she just didn't want to go look and grab it. I just recently visited this establishment, and I must say that I have been to multiple Panera Bread restaurants, but I was blown away whenever I came here! To give the staff and cuisine any less than 5 stars would be a detriment to my honesty, and I was thoroughly impressed with the friendly atmosphere that I was kindly greeted with whenever I had walked in. I have supported this restaurant since the beginning of pandemic. Recently they left out an item that I had ordered. I discovered this when I got home. Calling their number was useless. No one would answer the phone. When I went through the drive thru today I explained what had happened last time I was there. They said they would take care of the problem when I got up to the drive thru window. Instead they charged me twice for the item they left out last time. On top of that the " replacement" item as old and stale. Seriously bad. read more

I Iike Panera but this place is awful. There is a juice bar that is disgusting. Dried, old juice is always everywhere and there has been an infestation of fruit flies surrounding the fountain drinks for the last four months. Coffee is never ready when we go at 8 a.m. in the morning. The floors were obviously not vacuumed or cleaned before they closed the night before or opened in the morning because when we show up for breakfast its still nasty. The drive thru is convenient but eating inside is a nightmare. I never see anyone cleaning or wiping off tables. If I were a regional manager I would keep on this location and ensure it is kept more clean. All the other Panera's I have been to have been well kept and clean. I've probably waited about 15 minutes in the drive-through. The cashier with short blond hair needs more training on customer service. She interrupts you while you're ordering and she also likes to close the drive-through window in your face without giving you a chance to speak. Also it would help if the employee would let customers know that it will be a bit of a wait, I was ready to ask for a refund for waiting so long (and because of the rude employee) luckily the food was finally ready. If you hate your job so much, don't take it out on the customer. Please staff more people because there is a line right behind me that's probably going to be waiting a long time too. The only plus side was they did not get my order wrong however they did forget to give me my drink ( funny because when I repeated my drink when ordering she interrupted me saying she got it down already) . VERY Disappointed. We order from Panera at work at least once a week and have had some issues in the past but normally exceptional service however today's experience has caused me to write this review. My co-worker and myself placed a delivery order today 9/7 upon delivery of our order we were told that they were out of Pumpkin Muffies (not specified online) and was texted and asked if we would like something else, I responded quickly and declined another option and asked to cancel that part of the order. Once the order was received we realized that the $1.99 fruit cup was left out of the bag. Of course I realize sometimes accidents happen but called right away requesting that it be brought out. The manager of the Lewisville location on East Grove Rd stated that it would be OVER an hour to bring out the fruit cup. Already frustrated with his customer service and his attitude of inconvenience when asked to deliver the order that was paid for I asked him about removing the charge for the Muffie since it was not received and nothing was requested from me to switch out. He informed me that he could not remove that charge as he could not make changes to an order but that would give us credit for the next time we order (never even asked my name etc to honor the credit) I am very disappointed in the service received and how he acted so "put out" by our conversation. Love Panera but this location is AWFUL. The manager Brandon -and I use that term loosely because he should be demoted if not FIRED, was beyond rude. I got all the way home with the wrong order, I never even got a call from the restaurant who I gave my panera # (phone number), to alert me so I could turn around. When I did call once home Brandon said he was waiting on my call. So you already knew my order was wrong and waited. By this time it was almost 9pm, I demanded they deliver because of their mistake. Placed an order online for a party of 10 (work meeting) this morning at 9am. My card was charged and the order was placed. I arrive at my designated time of 12pm, only to find out that my order hasn't even been prepared. It's 12:45 and I am still waiting. None of the workers are remorseful or even remotely apologetic. The girl who took my order had an attitude with me because I told her I was in a hurry. I have an office full of hungry technicians and still no food. It's a shame because we love Panera. If you order online or via the drive thru, the staff is literally incapable of remembering to put your bakery items IN THE BAG. I finally called to complain today -- about the fact that i had been up there twice in less than 24 hours and that BOTH times they hadn't given me the danish i'd ordered, and the fact that my 3 cups of broccoli cheese soup were basically cheese-flavored-water with no actual broccoli in them -- and the manager was completely not helpful. She offered to give me the pastry I already paid for if I drove back, but I don't live right down the street and am not about to put miles on my car and waste gas to fix their screw up. I get home and could not believe the mini size of the sandwich and the bread was hard as a rock and burnt. I had to get my own bread at home and try to salvage my mini sandwich for dinner. I called in a same day, first time catering order just a few hours before we needed it. Marissa took my order and was very helpful to accommodate all the choices and needs for our office lunch. She actually personally delivered it to us AND was on time. Everything was there, down to the serving utensils! The presentation set-up was great, food was fresh and awesome. My life at Panera goes as such...I don't eat it for a while, suddenly crave it, am reminded how amazing it is, binge eat it for a week, repeat. I love it here, dine-in, to-go, I am down! I pretty much always do the pick to, and after trying a billion things, I have decided my favorite is the chipotle chicken avocado melt with either the french onion soup or the chicken wild rice soup. Although, they have a mean summer salad. I don't get why people complain about the price. The salads are gigantic and the sandwiches are super filling. And I can count that I am eating real food! I have always had great experiences with time a customer service, too! I come here all the time too, so I have some credibility. I might have some for dinner TBH. read more
