Once again, we found ourselves craving Jason's Deli. We recently had a Fail at a Jason's Deli in Melbourne, Florida, but decided to try our hand at this location. The drive was a bit out of the way for us, but it was totally worth it! After waking in, we were instantly greeted. The woman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. My daughter and I both ordered the salad bar and my son had his usual kids cheese pizza. The salad bar was clean and stocked well. All ingredients were fresh and neatly displayed. Everything tasted perfect. My daughter had the potato salad for the first time and fell in love with it. I think she made a trip back to get another plate or two of it. I absolutely love the wide variety of ingredients to choose from, and everything is FRESH! Jason's Ginger muffins they are the perfect sweetness and a must have with every visit. I could literally eat them all day. My kids both love the free soft serve Ice cream. The store was clean during my visit and there is plenty of seating, even if you have a large group. Until Friday June 12th I went to this Jason's Deli two to three times a week. Yesterday I was treated so rudely by the manager that I will never return to this location. I had worked a long day and ordered the salad bar. I like what I like and enjoy the salad bar so much because I have a routine of eating the same thing with each trip, a salad and dill pickle pasta. Since I had worked a long day I went back for seconds and they were almost out of the pasta so I asked for more. I was told there was no more so I asked to speak to the manager. I explained that I did not wish to continue eating if they had run out of the food I wanted. Was there anything that could be done for me since I paid for an all you can eat buffet and the restaurant ran out of food. The manager told me I could be given a gift card and I said thank you. The manager then said I didn't have to have an attitude, the restaurant was giving me a gift card so I asked what attitude. The manager then said you raised your voice and I said no ma'am, my volume has stayed the same throughout our conversation. I was cut off and told the restaurant could not just make more pasta, it would take a long time. Did I want the gift card or not. I said yes please and then the manager said you can call the general manager if you want. At this point I was shocked having been disappointed that the restaurant ran out of food and then told I had a bad attitude after thanking the manager for a gift card. As the manager walked to the front to get the gift card I realized how badly I had been treated and asked for the general manager's phone number along with the gift card. The manager then told me I could have the general manager's business card but I was no longer getting a gift card. I am very disappointed that I no longer feel welcome in this restaurant by how management treated me and will not be returning. read more

Been enjoying sandwiches from various Jason's Deli locations for decades. Dropped onto the shop in Lewisville to pick up a sandwich to eat at a concert. Noticed the Quarter Ham & Salami Muffaletta on the menu and decided it was high time that I had a muffaletta. The ham was piled high but the salami was AWOL. I don't know, maybe they were out of salami. There was a good amount of tapenade on top, with chopped olives, peppers, carrots and maybe a couple other things. It wouldn't be a muffaletta without that special bread. A flat, round loaf that clearly defines the sandwich. This bread was good and slightly crispy, too. The only problem is that it was a little too crispy. I think the sandwich was missing some olive oil on the bread. Usually, it's in the tapenade. Anyway, the sandwich was rather dry. 4-2022 visited this location several times. It's always been clean, fresh food and service always friendly. The Salad bar is stocked and the ice cream machine has been working every time we go. Managers special is one option we like. Half sandwich and soup or half sandwich and fruit or chips, a salad bar trip for an upcharge. Some favorites are Shelley's deli chick (chicken salad on croissant), club royale, veggie wrap, meataballa, California club, but my new favorite is the bigger better BLT. It's so good! I ordered the full sandwich and it was huge. The egg and avocado made it even better. They still have my favorite chips (ruffles) or you can ask for baked chips in a bag. Fountain Diet Dr Pepper served here! Our To go orders have been accurate and packaged with care, our soup cups had secure lids for travel. Clerk was really friendly asked what I wanted on it said I have about 30 things to choose from hadn't been told that with any other sandwich od gotten there so was surprised picked a few items. Wonderful, fresh salad! Love the fresh brewed tea as well! Unfortunately the tuna salad was not good and tasted spoiled so I threw it out. Also I miss the friendly drive thru ladies @ this location! I went to the Lewisville location last week. My first disappointment was I was craving the caprese panini and was told it was discontinued as it's seasonal. Why? Several people love it. I got the broccoli cheese soup to go. It was old I believe it was so thin and all broccoli broken down that's unusual. This location is always on target with their to-go orders. My roommates and I ordered some dinner, and it was amazing as usual. I got a salad bar and a bowl of soup - the broccoli cheese was divine and the salad was HUGE and had everything I asked for in it. My only speculation would be that some of the veggies in my salad were cut quite large. That may be more of a personal preference really, but as usual the food was on point and got to the door in a very timely manner. read more

What a great find! This was our first visit to a Jason's Deli, which I discovered while searching for a gluten free fast food option for my wife as we traveled to New Mexico. She was very happy with their GF bread, built her own sandwich with sliced turkey, bacon, Swiss cheese, avocados, and tomatoes. I had the Santa Fe chicken sandwich, which was equally as good. Everything tasted very fresh; even their chips were exceptionally good. The restaurant itself is very clean. They have a salad bar open, but require mask and gloves and just a single trip. Service was fast and very pleasant. Prices very reasonable. We look forward to visits to other Jason's Deli locations in the future. read more

Very clean and fresh salad bar. Lots of options to choose from. The toast pieces are good. It was perfectly crispy and great in my salad. I also got the Irish potato soup. It was tasty and hearty. Perfect for a cold day! I was debating between a 3 and 4 star rating. 3 because it's nothing special (I could make a similar or better soup) but I decided on a 4 star rating because it's clean and fresh. It included a half specialty or build your own sandwich and a cup of soup, fruit or mac & cheese. I chose the New York Yankee, a 3/4 pound combo of hot corned beef and pastrami, Swiss cheese, and toasted NEW Marbled Rye. Is NEW marbled better than OLD marble rye? The half sandwich was loaded with meat. I don't know how people could finish a whole sandwich. I chose chicken noodle soup to go with it. My friend who ordered right after me razzed me for copying his order. I had asked him what he was going to get to get ideas. Sandwiches aren't really my thing, so I had trouble deciding. Anyway, the chicken noodle soup was alright. Maybe a little salty like it was canned. The chips that came with my meal were okay too, so much so that I didn't finish them. Two years ago their ice cream machine wasn't working, and I have NOT been back to this location since. Guess what? Today I came in and it's not working. I mentioned to the manager that it not working two years ago has affected whether I came in again. (And I hadn't.) Just went to one of our family favorite casual restaurants since the pandemic. Didn't know about the 1 trip salad bar policy. Did not see in on their menu board behind the cashier. Since I don't like to pile on my salad plate, and not knowing the 1 trip policy, I only took a small amount. It was embarrassing when I tried a get a clean plate only to be told I only get 1 trip. I understand restaurants had to adjust to the new reality and food cost. Like so many reviewers in Jason Deli's Facebook, I feel Jason Deli ought to make it clear on the menu or have the cashier remind customers of this new policy to avoid embarrassment and resentment. So, we're in Lewisville (see Wild Ginger review) and daughters team mates want Jason's Deli. I protest but for daughter I relent as she wants to spend time with team mates (soccer tournament in Louisville). I see Mufaletta on the menu and become giddy as a school girl. In the back of my mind I have Frankie's Deli (Lombard, IL) on my brain and foolishly engage mouth anticipating something like that. It's not. It's not gross or unclean, doesn't make me sick. It's a couple things. First - the bread they put it on has more sesame seeds than Sesame Street. So many that every bite the painted on salami is overwhelmed and the mound of ham (which lacked any hamminess that could penetrate the sesame madness) along with a less than inspired olive mix (lacked that right amount of oil to olive mix and was w/o seasoning as well). What this sandwich reminded me of was Schlotzsky's but not as good (not the ol' school Schlotzsky's - the newer and ruined version). I'm probably missing the point of the joint, daughter had fettuccine alfredo and enjoyed it (WTF is alfredo doing at a deli??), in fact what is half this stuff doing here? But I digress, they layout of the restaurant was uncomfortable and crowded as well as loud (I'm probably nit-picking but I found it annoying enough to mention since I was pretty miserable here for the duration of my experience). Not sure if this is indicative of *every* Jason Deli - but not digging this at all. This is mainly for to go orders, I rarely ever eat here. They have an awesome to go service IMO. I order online, and come to the store and just pick up my food. I never have to wait...they normally have two registers available during lunch time, so no delay in waiting on guests who are eating there. their sandwiches and wraps are so good. The food here was just as good as any Jason's Deli. However, the service left a lot to be desired. We both got a bowl of soup and the salad bar. Usually, by the time that you've finished making your salad, your soup is on the table. But upon returning to the table our number was still there and no soup. We had completely finished eating our salads. Still no soup. My husband took our number and receipt back up there and told them we never received our soups. They gave him salad plates. He told them that we had already eaten our salads and informed them, again, that we never received our bowls of soup. They started to get cups out. He, yet again, told them (and showed them our receipt) that we did not receive our bowls (not cups) of soup. Their response- "Sorry, we forgot to bring it out." I visited Jason's Deli after it was suggested for a quick lunch while visiting the area. While the restaurant was open to dine-in I elected to place a to-go order. Their baked potatoes were the highlight of the conversation, but when I got there I decided to try the Smokey Jack Panini (Nitrite-free smoked Turkey breast, bacon, jalapeño pepper Jack, guacamole and tomato w added jalapeños, a drink & kettle chips $8.29). My sandwich was really good and packed a lot of flavor! The sandwich looked small, but it ended up being the perfect lunch treat. They didn't skimp on the meat or any of the ingredients and toasted it to perfection. I also really enjoyed the pickles they included in the to-go the bag. While deciding if I wanted to do a half sandwich and soup combo (the managers special) I tried the Seasonal Maine Lobster Chowder and the Spicy Seafood Gumbo. The chowder was creamy with a strong lobster taste and the gumbo had a strong shrimp/fishy taste. Both were okay, but didn't sway me to chose the manager's special. They also provide complimentary ice cream which I took the liberty to make a root beer/Dr. Pepper float. I really enjoyed my food and the experience at Jason's Deli. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful and the restaurant was kept spaced out and clean. Glad I got to visit. read more
