The food is normally so good. They have great breakfast and lunch menus. They don't usually have bread bowls at dinner time though. The service is fast. The ambiance is good with a quiet work space. The bread was very fresh for lunch and their soup is a great temperature with being warm but it can burn your tongue. This is a go to spot for me. read more

The cafe always appears to be clean and the staff is friendly... When you can actually get someone. It seems like they are constantly understaffed and lots of the time no one is even at the register. There are tablets to order on your own. There have also been several times I have ordered ahead and my drink cup is not on the shelf despite getting notification that it is ready. However, I don't know if they're not putting it up there or someone else that comes in is stealing my cup. They are a healthier option for food since they use better ingredients, but things are still pretty high calorie if you pay attention to that. Have went to this location several times over the last month . Food quality is inconsistent . Sometimes sandwich is cut so small and soup majority of the time it's just liquid . Have placed orders to go and have learned to double check the order half the time no silverware . For the price of the food portion control needs to be done . Have been wondering about the new flatbread pizzas. Got 3 of them to try, here's my take: Pepperoni - The pep I thought was too salty, and lacked spice. Cheese was ok. Sauce was a strange super smooth consistancy and also lacked flavor. Four Cheese - Favorite out of the 3, interesting blend of cheeses, along with the garlic cream sauce. Chipotle Chicken & Bacon - looks the best, but was also bland. I won't get these again, think with some tweaking they could be a lot better. Also, they all had a strange burnt taste like when you burn something in the toaster and the smoke gets into the food. Hard to describe. read more

Curbside and delivery from Panera has made my life so much easier! Lately, I've been on a Turkey sandwich kick. There's just something about the spicy mustard and basil that for me just goes together. The customization of sandwiches is what I like best. One thing they should add is a create your own salad/sandwich option. I will say today's delivery lunch was rather expensive. The food is pretty decent and today was packaged perfectly. Both salads that my mother and brother got looked pretty good. Overall, I do recommend this place. read more

First I want to say Panera has always been a solid choice for a good meal but lately no. I am very very disappointed with the quality or lack of quality in my food yesterday, August 23rd. For one, they were out of baguettes, crotons, and apparently parmesan cheese. My chicken Caesar was awful. Just basically lettuce and dressing. When I looked in bag - told the employee there was no chicken on my salad, he apologized and put cold meat in a cup and off I went. I am sorry but for $12, I got 2 cups of romaine and some sad chicken. We spent over $35 and I won't embarrass the restaurant anymore as the other items weren't the quality I expected from Panera in Lockport, NY. There are a million choices out there, and I won't be back anytime soon. I understand the lack of employee crisis but come on - if you don't have parmesan then deduct from my price. read more

Tried again. Dissatisfied again. Came in to start our ties trip with an Egg, Bacon and Cheese breakfast sandwich on ciabatta bread. I ordered an egg white and spinach breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel. No cheese, no tomato(i did not ask for them per allergy, and they were not listed as ingredients on the sandwich. We recieved the to go order and after spending over $12 on these 2.....we walked in and got a refund. The bacon egg and cheese was about 5in. long and 3in. wide. Smaller than my hand. Not to mention there was one. One piece of bacon on this sandwich. Then mine. I have an allergy to cheese and tomato. This is why I requested a plain bagel with just the egg white and spinach. I recieved an Asiago cheese bagel, melted cheese and tomato. (Insert eye roll). I'd give this 1 star but the girls were great in giving the refund. Apparently Panera has not just turned into overpriced cafeteria food that is cheap on ingredientsand unable to read an order correctly. Pretty sad. I have always loved Panera, and still do! They have the best Mac and cheese, so creamy. I love their avocado and egg white breakfast sandwich, I feel healthy eating it. Their cold chai tea isn't very food unfortunately but a lot of their coffees are good. I recently had the soba noodle bowl with edamame and i was disappointed. Barely any broth and not the best flavor. Not a repeat. I will stick to their sandwiches, specifically the chicken salad, yummm. Came here again ONLY because I was sick and needed some chicken noodle soup. The floor was hella gross near the prep station. Then after my camera noise went off while I was snapping shots they decided to stop being lazy and started cleaning it. Counter person forgot my muffin that I paid for so I had to go back and correct that. My date ordered two soups one a bowl one a cup. For some reason the cup looked bigger. But yeah this place is gross and my tip is don't come here but if you do just get a cup! ***update*** GUYS~ cant make this stuff up, some crazy yelp person made a fake account and started harassing me over the photos I posted. Who doesn't like bread. They make it warm and fresh everyday. Every kind imaginable. It's like Wonka Land for adults. Bagels, Muffins, Pastries, and Loafs and Loafs of bread. I just like to walk in and sniff. It's all the smells my house never knew growing up. My mom was the mom that cracked open a bag of oreos and said "desserts ready" ya know, after she out did herself with heating up a can of Chef Boy R Dee. I digress.... Panera, they also serve Soup and Sandwiches for lunch. Actually they have panini's and they are killer. So good on a cold snowy day. I love that they have a fireplace and big cozy chairs to flop into. It's typically a pretty quite place if you need to find a place of solace. Definitely one of my fav's. read more

Let me break this down for you... Positives: - food never ceases to be brilliantly delicious. - baked goods and bread items, along with the various soups, always taste fresh weather you walk in at 9am or 9pm. - fairly low wait time. - convenient parking and location on busy s. Transit road. - large enough dining room for private dates, meetings, etc. Negatives: - STAFF! Literally... they ARE the negative. - fairly dirty (sometimes). - regularly restocking the condiments, plastic cutlery and butter, needs some work. - usually get my order wrong (forgetting to take off the tomato or adding extra avocado, even though I paid extra). -price $$$ Whew, I'm outta breath on this one! Not trying to go on a rant here, I truly love the restaurant and crave it's delicious food and drinks, BUT... when the staff of the establishment don't stay consistent as far as proper treatment of guests, it needs to be addressed. So here I am, addressing it! There are quite a few younger people working there, possibly part time and college age. Listen, I have worked as a hairstylist for 10 years now. That being said, I understand that working with the public in large quantities can be very stress inducing. The general public can be very rude, demanding, picky and just straight up abusive and I get that! Unfortunately no matter what the customer brings your way, no matter how mad you think they are, just know that they are not mad at you. Their shitty day is not your problem it's their problem. Don't allow it to affect your emotions or your hard work. Don't let it affect the way that you treat the kind, patient customer next in line either. If that person says hello to you and you don't even respond... that is not okay. I go here all the time and I've spent a lot of money here so the least I could ask is for a friendly hello! Panera is not inexpensive by any means so if you have customers that are paying money like that for your food and you're not treating them with respect you will slowly lose your restaurant entirely. If the owner sees this review, please train your employees to display a positive attitude, and make them aware that you have an open door policy! Also, if you as their leader are having a bad day, do not allow your staff or customers pay for how you're feeling. Everything starts with the boss and negativity will eventually trickle down to your staff. They would have gotten 5 stars had they (the staff) just ditched the attitude. Everyone has bad days now and again, but if a customer walks in smiling and leaves with their takeout looking unhappy, then you have failed as an employee. You can feel like crap sure, but changing the customers day (negatively) just makes all people involved miserable. You don't want to cause a customer to have a bad day, you want to make their day! Never had a bad experience at Panera. Service is usually fast depending on day of week/time of day you go. Friendly staff. I usually get the pick 2 with mac and cheese and half grilled cheese usually substituted with different bread and cheese. Nice reward perks with the app and receiver rewards all the time. I've ordered from this Panera several times dining and take out because my wife likes Panera. I do as well, but will never go to this one ever again. They somehow manage to mess my order up almost every time. This time with delivery no one bothered to sign they checked the order and we didn't receive everything we asked for. My suggestion is if you want Panera go to the on by Wegmans and Target in Clarence/East Amherst. I've never had any issues at that one. read more

Then they were complaining that they wanted to go home. Finally, my order was handed to me and the young lady apologized for the wait. Maybe if any of them had made my sandwich instead of asking eachother who was going to do it, I would not have waited so long. When I got home, my sandwich was a complete mess. Honestly so disappointed. Ordered curbside pick up as I left my mask at home.. My order said it was ready so I waited about 10 minutes after it said it was ready and still nothing. I called twice with no answer. Eventually a girl came out and told me they had no salad at all so what would I like to replace it. I replaced it with soup which actually cost less than my salad. They didnt offer to throw in anything extra to make up the difference but whatever I took the L and went home. Then I get home to realize they gave me an apple instead of a baguette as I had ordered. Now I have a whole soup I didnt really want to begin with and no baguette to eat it with. Waste of $15. read more

Don't use the Pre-order app for Rapid Pickup. Ordered a complete lunch to bring to my daughter and family for her first day home from the hospital having twins. The bag was waiting, stapled shut with the receipt on top. When I arrived at the house, my daughters meal was missing but was paid for. Her's was the most important after having hospital food for 4 days and celebrating the arrival of new babies. I called and was told after waiting on hold that the manager was busy and would call me back. It didn't happen. Corporate answered with a form letter 4 days later with a $12 gift certificate. My daughter tried the following week and the app "timed out" so she reordered. I picked up the order and only one order was waiting. The credit card was charged twice. read more

The food here is very good but,... at what cost? Ordering in person USUALLY ends up okay but rapid pick up or delivery always has something missing or is made entirely wrong, and when you tell them about it they will either hang up on you or act completely rude and not even apologize. ‍ ordered two Mac & Cheese orders custom and they came w no toppings on them at all, to which the guy at the counter replied "So, do you want me to re-make it or what?" - we had to explain to him what was meant to be on it three separate times, even though it was on the receipt - so always check the order before you leave. read more

Our Lockport Panera really misses the mark when it comes to quality food prepared fresh and timely. Two weeks ago I had ordered a bowl of soup for my lunch, it was cream of chicken with wild rice. Its taste was off at the first spoonful. I tried a few more spoonfuls after it cooled a bit just to be sure, ugh. The entire afternoon and evening the soup and sour taste, agita! Some people never learn. We went tonight for the pick two, soup and sandwich. My best advice is to buy fresh Costanzo rolls from Niagara County Produce and a rotisserie chicken to make your own sandwiches. Do not go for the flatbread chicken Mediterranean sandwich. There was exactly (4) ~ 1" tiny pieces of chicken on this half sandwich, dried out cucumbers, & just bland taste. The flatbread was like biting into a soft piece of cardboard. No seasoning or flavor picked up on your palate! Lastly, their baked potato soup was watery and had zero taste. The potatoes were well cooked. That is the only positive I can add honestly. It was awful. How can anyone screw up soup not once, but twice? You can tell the people preparing these foods do not care about their jobs. Panera is not gourmet food, but it used to be of higher quality when they opened in Lockport. We won't return. You should spend your hard earned money at another local place. Even McDonald's may have been a better choice for our family tonight. read more

This is just another Panera Bread. The quality of the food is the same as any other branch, and the employees are friendly. Their broccoli soup in a bread bowl is one of my favorite non-homemade comfort foods, and the price is reasonable. My only complaint is about seating, but I know they can't do much about that unless they move to another location. I like to come with friends either before noon (usually 11) or at 4pm or 6pm (sometimes 6:30) to avoid some of the lines. read more

Good food fast, that is, if they actually get your order correct. Their MyPanera card is a joke. After they give you one you have to register it. The kiosk they have on the store doesn't actually allow you to register it. After I finally registered it on my phone, I could sign in as it said the username and password are incorrect. I reset the password multiple times, still doesn't allow me to sign in. Oh well, I'll continue to go here for the few vegan options and screw trying to use the panera card. read more

Panera has been getting better in the past few years - usually I would get the You Pick Two starring the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich (the spread is a yummy cilantro hummus) and a classic salad, which is rather plain. If you order online, you can customize them and add extra veggies or avocado to jazz them up. Out of the new broth bowls, the edamame soba noodle bowl is vegan, but the company has stated that they don't want to certify anything as such because of possible contamination. Either way, it's delicious. And the side of the baguette is always a treat! read more

Every time I come in this location it's getting worse. Today I had to find someone to take my order. I asked for honey wheat bread, didn't have that. I asked for a loaf of raisin bread, didn't have that, I requested baguettes with my food, didn't have those. The place was unkept, employees just talking and not taking care of the customers. There were 2 guys prepping the food and one didn't have his facemask covering his nose, only his mouth. Regardless of what you might think of the mask mandate, it's a NYS law for employees to wear one, especially while prepping food. I won't be back. read more

It's okay. They always take quite a while to make our food and almost always mess up something in our order. They are also infamous, at least in our household, for keeping a sandwich on their menu and changing a ton of the ingredients instead of just making a new sandwich. So it's like sandwich roulette, will you get what you normally get, or did they change it again? Ever since they came to Lockport I've ordered The Italian sandwich. It's like a basic assorted sub, ham, turkey, and at one point it had roast beef...then they changed it to steak. I never ate the roast beef or steak because I don't like it so I would either order it without, or change it to more of one of the other meats. Then they changed the sandwich again and added some spicy mustard of some kind. Then one day I ordered it and got something completely off the wall, now it has some weird Chianti salami, spicy sopressa, or something, things I can't even say and have never even heard of. This isn't the fault of THIS particular Panera, as the entire chain is who's deciding this but it's still aggravating as hell to have a favorite thing and have them continuously change it, to the point that it's now something disgusting. I also find it very expensive. My husband tends to get panini's or something hot and he's ALWAYS still hungry. His sandwiches are always smaller than mine, and more expensive. It usually costs $40 just to feed a family of 4, 2 are kids. Not cheap by any means. Their salads are also very small considering what you pay. They never fill the bowl or box. Some places actually fill the container, hell even if you're filling it with mostly lettuce I'm happy, but when you're not it angers me because a $10 salad should be worth it, and salad is dirt cheap so why they aren't filled is beyond me. With this particular store my big beef is they are always out of stuff, especially pastries. And they will be out of them early in the day, it's not like we are expecting them at 8 pm and wondering why they aren't there. Once in a while it's just an issue with their stupid app not knowing what is actually in stock, and I prefer to order via app because you can add SO many more ingredients to your sandwich that I didn't know you could do because they don't tell you that at the register. So I like to add lots of extra veggies and customize the kids food to add veggies too because a kids sandwich is a meat and cheese...and that's it. They are also supposed to give you a free pastry when they screw up your order, which they very rarely do. As I said before they screw up something almost every single time and I've only been offered the free pastry once or twice. I don't feel right saying "Hey where's my free pastry?" It seems rude to me, they should know their policy. We've stopped eating here altogether since they changed my sandwich to something totally bizarre. read more

I am a fan of Panera... even though they are a tad pricy, I used to camp out sometimes at this location to do some computer work and they are very friendly here. Pick Two is often my go to meal here with a soup and sandwich. LOVE the broccoli soup. The danishes are good too :) This location also has the New York Style Cream Cheese - which is awesome with their pumpkin bagels in the fall. The only complaint I have is that when they get a line and there is one person on counter, it often takes a while for someone to come over and help. Or if people get specialty drinks, it holds up the line because the counter person has to stop and go make it, while the rest of the customers wait. Might be more productive for someone else to go over and make drinks so the line can be addressed more efficiently. read more
