Normally we go to the Panera on Poplar Level Road, however, due to traffic congestion caused by the Lights Under Louisville it seemed prudent to go to the Dixie Highway location instead. I got there a few minutes early and they were still working on our order. The staff were very polite and finished the order quickly. Confession: This review is based on the few times I've gone to this Panera. Every time, it's for a Kitchen Sink cookie. That dang cookie is the best! I always opt for Rapid Pick-Up, so I'm in and out of this location quickly. The cookie is always delicious. More often than not, my cookies have been free because I'm a part of the Panera Bread Rewards program. I get one every year on my birthday, and there are times throughout the year when I'll get a message for a free treat. I ALWAYS go for the same thing- that Kitchen Sink cookie. I'm really excited this is now on Dixie. Besides the Panera menu we know and love thus place is clean, modern, and streamlined for order -ahead business. I came at an unusual time and I'll assign the unusual wait time to that, although they had an army of people working - mainly standing and chatting. This is what I expect from Panera. Horrible!!!! The food here is good most of the time, but last night I went in about a half hour before closing because I was coming back from somewhere else and didn't have time earlier. When I got in all the employees started looking at me funny and mumbling things like "oh god, I'm not going back up there". I was really nice about it and apologized for coming in so late, even though they were still open. When I got home my sandwich was literally just chicken skin. There are no words to express what Panera bread is like. my whole family loves the way they do your food we usually go there to get the broccoli cheddar soup in my opinion it's the best. there is also an option to customize your food, for example, my dad loves the steak and white cheddar sandwich but it comes with onions on the app you can customize and it comes right of. Yesterday I went to Panera I made a rapid pick-up order on the app to pick up at 8:53, it was closing at 9:00. so when we went to pick it up. we ordered 5 soups but there were only 4 they offered to give us another type of soup it was alright different from the one we get, but we did need to make a change. Love love Panera bread ! This location is off of a sucky highway HOWEVER the extra wait at the light was so worth it! This location is so clean & well lit . Perfect for lunch with friends or even a solo study session with good food! Customer service was so great with friendly greeting & pleasant small talk . The menu has so many options with soups , salads , sandwiches , and dessert! Today I was so glad to see their turkey chili was back ! It's my fav! I chose the pick two . So I cannot ever say enough good things about Panera Bread. I feel like every location is very consistent and this one is no exception. I come to this Panera bread most frequently because it is located near where I work. Today I ordered the You Pick Two combo. I ordered a Napa chicken sandwich and broccoli soup. My order was correct and delicious as always. There was also a spoon and napkins in my bag for me. I would have to say about 90% of the time I utilize the online rapid pick up option. Ordering online is so easy and convenient. Today I last minute decided that I wanted this for lunch and I was able to order and pick up my food in 15 minutes. The store was very clean. My order was in the correct spot in the rapid pick up area and the drink/condiment station was clean and stocked. They even gave a friendly hello when I walked in. In my opinion Panera bread is going to cost you a little bit more than some other "fast food" Restaurant's. But the quality is far better; the food is fresh and clean. I feel the extra couple bucks are always worth it!!! This is a great place to grab and go, or to have a nice sit down meal with your friends or family. So co-worker of mine said he was going to Panera I didn't bring my lunch today and I said hey buddy won't you go ahead and pick me up some while you're at it I'll order it online and you can pick it up he said cool so that's what we did he went over on to the Dixie I ordered a turkey chili and I'm not a big fan of turkey in the chilling definitely not a fan of peas and corn and carrots in my chili hell I might as well call her the damn vegetable soup cuz I didn't know what was going on with all these carrots and things in my chili my chili is hot and good and has beef and peppers and it not carrots so anyway that I'll give about a 2 out of 5 not a big fan of it I can see that a lot of people would probably like it because it's healthy and that's what Panera's known for I guess where I found out today. And then I got like a little hoagie bun that came with that it was a good I get to dip it in the chili sauce so I enjoyed that and then I got to pick to type thing and I got a sandwich like a steak and cheese sandwich with no onions cuz I don't like onions not a fan of the onions and I got lettuce and tomato on it and it was good I'll give out a 4I like that steak and cheese hoagie bread can't go wrong with that so I'll get Panera and overall 3 out of 5 because I'm sure they got a bunch of good stuff but I'm not really into all that and you know I'm just kind of like give me a cheeseburger giving Pizza give me a beer type of dude not really into eating salads and soups and what I want hot ass chili and I want a big old sandwich with a lot of meat and cheese and stuff on it so whatever three out of five I'll probably try it again but it wouldn't be my goal to read more

Man I love me some Panera, but this location is subpar to say the least. They have been open for several months now, and still have not learned how to make the tea without burning it... (Panera makes some of my favorite sweet tea but I had to throw this away after 1 sip). And let's not forget the manager is incredibly short with people and comes off as rude. However, they had a station for you to order from an iPad! I loved this convenience! You order, pay, and pick up a buzzer for your food! I hope all Panera's have these soon! They were quick with the food. The restaurant was clean. It's easy to park and the employees were kind. I recommend it. I enjoyed my salad as usually. Panera is usually one of my "go to" places, especially when traveling. I ordered on August 25th for Rapid Pickup. I had two baguettes missing. I called the manager, who said "people are in training." OK, well, of course, that's a good reason. LOL I just ordered again on August 26th, indicating that I also wanted to pick up the two missing baguettes that I didn't receive in my previous order. When I arrived, having placed an order at 6:00 p.m. for pick up at 6:30, my order was not ready, wasn't listed on the wall. I had to go to the cashier to find out what was happening. They had the order, but hadn't filled it. I had ordered bacon on the side, which one of the employees noted. So, I got the sandwich order along with the missing baguettes. However, the bacon on the side is now missing. So, I suppose employees are still in training. I wouldn't recommend Rapid Pickup unless you take out every item and check it while in the restaurant, which sort of defeats the purpose of Rapid Pickup. Food is nearly always good at Panera Breads, but this location needs some better managerial oversight and training to get orders right. read more
