Based on at least 10 visits since they opened years go. This place has went downhill since opening and based off a recent visit for a pastry order would not be a choice for us unless necessary/super convenient. Standard menu as can be expected with taste of most sandwiches and soups being average to a little above on a few items taste being subjective. Taking its a chain aside. Service average overall. Recently experience poor with person acting like they are doing us a favor to above average. The place was remodeled and is standard Panera. Pretty clean. Coffee is not bad and like they have a bagel slicer machine. When you factor in the cost, and the fact it's an average place, not a good value. There are better choices but understand some at fans and maybe even regulars. read more

Stopped at this Panera during my travels and they did a really good job with my order (chipotle chicken avocado melt with a baguette) -- it was quick, easy, and freshly made. I wish I got a picture of the food as it looked and tasted exquisite. I almost didn't want to eat it because it looked too good lol The restaurant was clean and was being taken care of frequently by staff during the time I was there. I was overall amazed and satisfied by how quality the service was here in comparison other Panera locations. Amazing what good employees and likely management support gets you. They have some of the friendliest employees in the area. I was in town for a few weeks while on business and decided to grab something before settling in for the evening - I had the new Chipotle Chicken Flatbread (minus the bacon) ... what a great selection. It was so good, I visited 3x before I left town. Online ordering was quick and easy and my food was fresh and hot when I got back to my room. They have plenty of options... the atmosphere was inviting and cozy. What an awesome experience. read more

To get 2 dozen bagels when they opened and they act like I'm bothering them then I went back an hour later after realizing I forgot to get coffee and asked for a joe to go amd the manager yells out it will be 20 minutes for that after I said ok I'll wait I hear a loud exhale like you must be kidding me....ok I know from experience of owning a coffee house you can make a joe to go in 5 minutes....I'll also remind you there is no customers and they are just standing here as I plesently wait. In the early summer when they were only accepting online orders and delivering curbside, we had a bad experience. One of the items we ordered was the standard seasonal strawberry chicken salad. There was no chicken and it was only half the size of their normal salads. They wouldn't answer the phone and there was no way to contact anyone there. Even with free coffee it's not worth the awful service. I placed a pick up order 1 hour and 5 minutes before the pick up time. I arrived exactly on time and found it not ready, 15 minutes later I asked to cancel it, another 10 minutes later, 25 minutes late from the scheduled pick up time it was canceled. I was staying at a hotel nearby and wanted to grab a quick cup of coffee before hitting the road to head back home so I headed to Panera. I stopped by around 10 am on a Sunday and there was o line and only a few people in the dining area. There were quite a few people working...in slow motion. I remember being a teenager. I remember not wanting to work early shifts. But still... I wasn't sure if anyone was going to wait on me and once someone acknowledged that I was alive, she moved very slowly and I wasn't even sure if she got my order. It was strange. It was like being served by a zombie or something. In the background, I saw a lot of employees goofing around. They weren't busy, so whatever, but...the workers at this location didn't make a great impression with me. I wouldn't go back if I were in the area because service was slow and awkward. read more

This particular Panera definitely has issues. The service was slow. The egg sandwiches were on par. The muffins and pastry were not correctly baked. The employees on break back in the corner couch playing grabass certainly added to the romantic vibe. The rest of the staff seemed less than enthused about serving. Moving slowly seemed to be the goal of the day. Lucky for the owners only one person left the restaurant in disgust over the long wait. I really dislike this panera. I go out of my way to visit the other one a few miles away because the service at this one in maumee is slow and at times extremely rude. You are made to feel like an inconvenience for being a customer at times. I have emailed corporate about this panera on more than three occasions after being ignored and insulted. We ordered food from this Panera because it was in a convenient spot, and we've like the food we've had from their other locations. Our order was not complicated, nor was it large. It was a couple of salads, a sandwich, and two soups. The small cup of home style chicken soup was $6, and had *literally* no more 1/2 teaspoon of chicken in it. I searched and searched for any chicken, and that was it. They should just call it "chicken broth with noodles and some tiny pieces of carrot". My husband and I shared our chicken with our daughter, so that she actually had some chicken in her soup. It was supposed to come with a side of yogurt, chips, bread, etc, but they gave us nothing. The woman taking the order was barely audible, and didn't read any of the order back. My husband had to check that she had heard everything he said. And on top of that they forgot the bread that was supposed to come with both of the soups. Despite having a sign on the door saying that everyone inside needed to wear a mask, hardly anyone was, including employees, and the few who were had them on under their noses, which is basically pointless. We will NOT be picking up food from this Panera again. read more

This Panera Bread is full of lazy workers. It took 30 minutes to make 2 simple grilled cheeses. The grilled cheeses was barely cooked. The bread was not crispy at all and the cheese was barely melted. Also it was gnats by the drink Machine. read more

Standard Panera fare...all tasty... However, I just had the best service (from a Panera) ever here. I got a bagel pack for my family after grabbing lunch. My rewards card wouldn't scan, which I didn't care about, and the cashier felt so bad that she gave me a free drink. And then got fresh(er) bagels. And remembered the storage bags for the bagels (They never remember these. EVER). read more

I travel extensively for business and always rely on Panera for a reasonably priced, healthy meal option. This evening, I met a friend at the Dussel Road, Maumee OH location. She ordered for the both of us while I was on my way to meet her. We ordered the exact same salad, the Green Goddess Cobb salad with Chicken, with the exception that I had the Goddess dressing and she had the Greek. When our salads came, mine appeared to be twice the size of hers. She hesitated to say anything, however, I encouraged her to inquire as to why the difference. When she approached the Manager, he said that the difference was that my dressing was thicker. Then he offered to toss the salad some more as if this would make the salad larger. Very disappointed. I am 57 years old, and I know when one salad is considerably larger than another. read more

Sadly this is my least favorite Panera to visit. Its an easy stop off us23 but after the poor service Tonite we won't be returning. The cashier was very nice but the manager who came over to help her with the register was rude to say the least. (To her and to me). After that incident he informed me that they were out of some things that i ordered and gave me quite an attitude because it was a holiday weekend and they were busy (his words) I wasn't the least bit upset about it until he was not nice for the 2nd time. Stopped in here for coffee and a cookie. Store was very gross. The drink station looked like it belonged in a gas station and the rug was soaked and torn. The floor was also super sticky and the doors coming in were coated in finger prints. Not sure that I will be back. read more

We all know what Panera is all about, right? This one is a typical Panera, so you'll get no surprises here. You can expect soups, salads, sandwiches, and bakery items that are not necessarily "artisan quality", but still well above fast food standards. Most importantly, they boast lots of healthy options, and even go as far as posting the calories right on the menu on the wall. I count calories, which means I usually have to plan ahead, but at Panera I can order on the fly and still know exactly how many calories I'm eating. (Pro tip: ask them to hold the mayo and cheese to cut another 150 calories, give or take.) I always enjoy the food here. The salads have fresh tasting vegetables and the dressings are great. I haven't had a soup that I didn't like, and they have several under 100 calories. The sandwiches really shine due to the wonderful breads, all baked fresh daily. All the sandwiches are good, but to pick a few standouts: the Italian combo is one of my favorites (an unhealthy indulgence), the asiago roast beef is fantastic with the mild horseradish sauce, and the simple smoked turkey on country bread (sans mayo) is my go-to low-cal choice. I almost always order the "Pick Two" and go with a half-sandwich and either a half-salad or cup of soup. This location can be busy at lunch, but the wait is never unreasonably long. From the moment I walk in the door, I'm almost certainly going to be eating no more than 10 minutes later. The staff is really great at this location as well. read more

Visited with my crew on a Friday at around 8:30 pm local time. We ordered and the food came out. Food was OK but nothing special, particularly for Panera. Then my son found two leaves of lettuce in his sandwich that were obviously spoiled; one had several dark spots. I took the sandwich up to the counter, where the Register person took what I believed was an inordnantly long time before before my presence was acknowleged. I complained about the lettuce until one of the cooks (?) came over, looked at the lettuce and said "You know, its OK to eat rotten lettuce," or words to that effect. I asked him if he was a doctor and can verify his claim? By this time the shift manager appeared. The Register person and the cook then disappeared. The manager said very little and began working the Register. She then asked for my credit card. I asked why, and she responded " I need It to refund your money." She did so, and the cook appeared with a replacement sandwich, which I left on the counter. I had NO intention for my son or anyone to eat It! Soon the manager came over with the tray and asked if she could box It up; which she did. Throughout the whole episode, no one said "I'm terribly sorry this happened"-- which would have been sufficient to defuse me and the situation. After 48 hours from the time I contacted the company, I received two Pre- written boiler-plate responses. Only after complaining about their response time did I get an actual human to respond. Panera Corporations customer service recovery policies get an "F." I won't be back. read more
