Panera chicken noodle soup. A bowl was ordered , a small cup is what I received.

Recently went there for dinner. Just didn't feel like pizza or Mexican food. I ordered my food, a bowl of chicken soup and a full sandwich. I asked for bread with my soup and chips with my sandwich. See attached picture, the bowl wasn't even half full. Then my sandwich came with a side of bread? They said they were out of chips and bread was my side. Who gives bread as a side with a sandwich that has bread. Plus the bread with the soup. A little heads up when I was placing my order would have been nice.

I'm a big fan of Panera bread - it's just great to know that the food served is fresh(almost) and hot and yet it is quick ! It is higher on the price though. I would pretty much rate all Panera bread stores the same - they are neat, quick and have plenty of seating Incase you want to eat in . Coming to the food - the breakfast sandwich that I tried today was the avacado, spinach and egg white in a Seeded multigrain bun . It was filling with a generous helping of spinach and the egg white was much bigger than the bun! It's 5 bucks for a bfast sandwich but then it is much bigger than what you get at other comparable stores . Been to the McMurray store a number of times - there have been small issues at times but then it can never be Always Perfect! Keep dishing out good food Panera bread !

My son and I went a little after the lunch rush. One sandwich and Pick Two took ten minutes. No special instructions or add-ons to explain a bit of a wait. Hoped the food would pardon the wait. But first we must clean the table. No problem. Their were multiple tables with empty containers inside and outside. I did not see a bus person. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. It was mildly warm for a melt. In the description it says "smoked pulled chicken", it seemed liked chicken from the can. Yeah. It was bland. This sand was not worth almost $10. My son's pick two sandwich was the three cheese grilled cheese. The cheese was set up. I was not impressed. He did like the half side of bacon mac and cheese. Also, not that warm. We went up as soon as the pager went off. I'm not sure why the food seemed like it was sitting for a while. Would I pick this place for lunch again or recommend for lunch? Nope. Price of food did not equal the quality of ingredients. The food was not presented in a timely manner for what we ordered. Cleanliness of sitting areas not a priority with it being after the lunch rush.

Corporate greed has them drifting from healthy and nutritious food and into the realm of the general bad fast food abyss with the addition of their new microwave panini presses. This is very sad as I was a pretty big regular and fan of what they had been trying to accomplish so many years ago when they started this chain. Go to http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/05/18/microwave-hazards.aspx to read about why you shouldn't let them microwave your food. They always seem to 86 my favorite menu items. My favorite bakery item was the chocolate chip cookie with walnuts. Gone due to some of the population having nut allergies. They actually did me a favor but I used to crave these desperately. There was a salad that I used to think was the best they made and is gone now too..... can't remember it, it was a couple years ago now. None of the salads now compare or do much for me. Maybe they killed it because of the food cost. I think the bread and pastry there are good quality items. When they remember to keep their coffee fresh it's pretty good as well. There are still things to order here but it's not great anymore.

    Grilled cheese.

Terrible quality at this location. Consistently poor. Pictured is the grilled cheese with 1 slice of cheese and the $10 steak and cheddar. No cheddar, hardly a trace of onion, and poor quality steak. Save your money or drive to another location.

    Ham and Swiss. Maybe.

See the pic I posted to see what I opened when I ordered a half ham sandwich. Now, I don't expect a 5 star presentation from a sandwich shop, but I do expect more than something thrown together and squished. Two stars because it still tasted good... After I reassembled it.

Pick 2. French onion soup and chipotle chicken avocado melt sandwich with chips.

My favorite coffee spot for sure. My wife and I go here every weekend. The workers are great and it is relaxing there.

It's freezing, there's a lack of parking, the staff is overwhelmed and I won't be back.

The burrata was beautifully plated and perfect on its own with just a fork, no bread needed. But let me go back a second to the cocktail I ordered. The Green genie was light and refreshing. Maybe not your typical December drink but I was intrigued by the pineapple basil infused lemonade. Not a sweet drink kinda girl, I will say this was perfectly balanced and definitely not too sweet. That hint of basil came through in every sip! Definitely recommend. The brisket with mashed potatoes, and vegetables was plated so uniquely- truly a pleasure to behold for the senses. Now for the taste... tender and lightly smoked. The BBQ sauce is a delicious compliment and not overpowering. I decided that it was impossible to choose desserts so I ordered both the honey cake AND the hidden gem. People!! Save room for dessert! The hidden gem is a fun dessert and the pistachio filling is creamy and light. The honey cake is gorgeous, light and the layers are just perfectly even. I would liken it to a crepe cake. My kids will be happy I'm bringing them home a taste of it! The attention to detail, the cocktails, music and the flavor of the food at the Owl's Nest is definitely worth seeking out for lunch or dinner.

The way they did the lettuce, tuna, tomato, and whatever sauce they use was really good and very flavorful. It's definitely better than Subway. The only issue was that parts of the bread were a little soggy. It wasn't the whole sandwich, just certain spots, so in a few places I avoided eating the bread and I ended up with a clump of soggy bread in my little hand. I did love that they put cheese on the top for part of it though and I thought the cheese they used really complimented the flavor of the tuna. I also think the cheese helped protect the bread from the moisture in the tuna salad so the cheese for me was nonnegotiable for ensuring the quality of the sub. If anything, adding a little more of that cheese and layering more of it so it fully protected the bread from the moisture in the tuna would have likely prevented the bread from getting soggy. Lightly toasting the bread first might have helped too. Other than that small issue, I was really impressed with this tuna sub. It smelled amazing too, honestly better than most tuna sandwiches I've had. I would definitely order it again.
