    Chicken salad

I go to a lot of different Paneras and this one is rather new on the Pike in Mechanicsburg. The ambience was off, the bathrooms were clean, service was really slow. I seen they were hiring for a lot of positions but non of the tables were cleaned when people left. The food was alright, the greens that were supposed to be in my salad weren't. It was mostly romaine, when it's supposed to be mixed greens. And my arugula was kinda yellow I added to my chicken salad. It still tasted good but I wouldn't go to this Panera again.

Stopped in for quick dinner as Paneras are usually a known quantity - tonight being no exception. Went the standard U-pick-2® route - either the portions have gotten smaller or I was REALLY hungry....ended up scarfing down my asiago bagel which I had ordered 'to go' :) Food was above average for sure - wait time wasn't bad. Fairly busy (was around 8pm) I was REALLY looking for their limited-time lobster roll which I heard was back at some locations...maybe I'll find one yet! Always enjoy Panera's Chicken Noodle Soup - all in all a good visit!

    Drive-Thru takes a long time

This Panera Bread used to be in Silver Creek Square, opposite to Wegmans, but has since moved to a brand new building opposite REI. Not only has it added the drive-thru, the layout is drastically different from what most Panera Bread is known for. I'm not sure I like the new one. It's open partition so it's lost the cozy personal touch it used to have. A drive-thru for Panera is also questionable. It makes sense if it's used to pickup mobile or online orders, but if someone ahead ordered cook to order, then the wait will be too long for the people behind. Food-wise, it's the same standard as all Panera Bread.

This location has good food. The service needs work. I came in to get a beverage and as a first time Rewards member, asked about my beverage having milk and sugar. I read from my slip milk and 2 sugars. I was on the road and needed a quick wakeup. Manager and a male employee kept talking, and manager was doing the talking. I excused myself twice to speak to them. (Perhaps I was wearing my invisibility cloak). The manager pointed to the counter where there was a pitcher of creamer. I again said I had asked for milk. The manager looked dumbfounded while pointing at the pitcher. I said no, milk. A woman employee helped while the two men continued their conversation. Awkward! They seemed like I was a bother. Parr 2: I returned and did a curbside order for the tuna sandwich and vegetable soup duo. Specified no onions on sandwich. It came loaded with onions. And the sandwich was a mess with tuna mostly off the sandwich and in the wrapper (see photo). Please get it together! I love Panera. Improve your customer service, please.

Terrible. My coworkers breakfast sandwich was cold. My smoothie was anything but smooth. Look at the chunks.

This is what their homestyle chunky looks like.

Ordered the family feast, they said it would include a family size salad. It was more like the half salad. Also, I added the home sty chocolate chunk cookies, they put the ever but the kitchen sink cookie. Good thing I knew what it looks like because I can eat cookies that is prepared in areas with nuts, however if I bite into walnuts or pecans, that is a whole other story.

Checked in 3 times recently, different days. Love the store, the customer service, the food, the products. There is nothing to not like. Very good bakery. All breads are freshly baked. Though the bagels could be smaller in size. They are so big so as to be unappetizing in looks. I like the fact that they use antibiotic free chicken. Way to go when a chain restaurant thinks in terms of serving quality food to the customers. Great soups. Another great thing is it is vegetarian friendly.

Only 1 out of 4 bagels for sliced right.

So I thought it was time to revisit Vitality Bowls® - stopped in just after lunch hour & saw that the Supergreen Goddess Salad was still on the menu (nice balance of chicken, greens, eggs w/ avocado). I placed my order & sat at one of the 3 tables (I'm pretty sure the lion's share of business is to-go) - waited about a couple'a minutes for my made-to-order salad. When it came, it was just as good as previous visits, with everything fresh. Vitality is a good healthy choice nestled among all the nearby fast-food joints. They also have a selection of juices if that's your thing. I'll keep it in the dining rotation!

There are only a few tables, although none were occupied. The hummus and veggie appetizer was a huge disappointment. The hummus was tasty, but unfortunately the potion was only enough for about 1/3 of the veggies. The carrots and celery appeared to be a couple days old by the discoloration. The celery was impossible to dip in the hummus as it was chopped/sliced for a salad. Thankfully, the steak bowl was delicious and the right sized portion. All the ingredients were fresh and very flavorful. It was easy to distinguish between the different flavors. Not sure yet if I will give this place another visit.

We used to take the kids here, there was something for everybody and a fun atmosphere. Fast forward a few years and this place has really gone downhill. Three staff was all very young and seemed to be in a rush. OK - we can deal with that, although it wasn't even as crowded as usual on a Sunday night. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (which was listed under handhelds), with the "chilli mango coleslaw" option. We also had a pork belly sandwich and smash burger for our toddler. We weren't given an option to get that medium and wete told "it just comes one way" "because it's smashed". Other restaurants always ask you how you want your burgers even if it's listed as a smash but ok - I can also live with this. The last thing we ordered we a Buffalo chicken wedge salad to share. It ended up being our undoing for the evening and the straw that broke the camels back. The "Nashville" chicken sandwich was a greasy, thin slice of completely unseasoned chicken. It wasn't spicy like it said, it was pretty soft and soggy instead of crunchy, and was totally unsalted. It was worse than when I was doing no salt from a high bp diet post partum. :( the bread fell apart and was sopping wet... I guess from some pickles and lettuce on the bottom of the sandwich? It was anything but handheld and so I ended up just scraping what chicken off I could and leaving the rest. My "chili mango" coleslaw had no mango, no spice, and was just regular plain, unsalted cole slaw. I recieved 2 teaspoons of this in a plastic cup on the side and regretted not ordering the fries instead, which looked to be a good portion size on my husbands entreé. My food order was terrible overall. 0/10 My husband said he liked his sandwich. The fries were a 6/10 because they were crunchy but they were cold. Our kids menu smash burger was all grease, and came well done. Our kid ate a few fries and they were less greasy. 3/10 The worst part of the meal was the salad... The Buffalo chicken was tasty, but the whole salad was onions and sopping in dressing. We then found a black molded rotten tomato and honestly we were sick to our stomachs after that. Like I was insisting the salad at that point and ended up finding that but what else did we already eat that was just totally rotten ?? 2/10 only for the chicken salvaging the flavor for this dish. When we told the waitress that this was distressing, like we came out to get our of the house with our baby and this was the meal (so disappointing) she did not automatically offer to take the rotten salad off the bill. We asked her to please remove it, and to her credit she did so after putting us in an awkward position to have to ask at all. We liked that this place supports local artists. For that, 2 stars For these reasons though above we will not be back here for dinner. Sorry Evergrain, we will miss you!

I went with the baked oatmeal, which had coconut flakes, raisins, cinnamon, and had slices of banana and strawberries. I thought it was pretty tasty, but there are bottles of syrup on each table and drizzling some over it really hit the spot for me. This is definitely a spot that we'd go back to, especially since the is sizable. The menu offered a lot of other options, including crepes, and I feel confident that their other items would also be good.

I've been driving past Morning Fuel on the Carlisle Pike for the last few months. I'm a frequent…read moredriver out that way and every time I passed it, it always looked closed. So I wasn't sure if it was one of those businesses that kind of flopped and nothing had replaced it yet. Alas, I recently found out that it is, in fact, still open. And you know what they say: don't shop on an empty stomach. I was on my way to karns, and I concur. I decided to stop at Morning Fuel so I wouldn't make any hasty purchases while shopping. So I walk in, and the first thing I notice is the music. It's blaring early-2000s-ish rock music. Think Evanescence. Pseudo-angsty music, basically playing at the volume you'd expect in a club. The decor is like a really corny First Watch (live laugh love signage and pictures of measuring cups filled with grains) perhaps with little more edge. And there are straw wrappers and bits of food on the floor, kind of like the Texas Roadhouse peanut situation, except it's not peanuts. Shortly after I was seated, they swept the floor, so I'm assuming it wasn't intentional lol. So, yeah. First Watch on crack? Maybe? First watch's angsty step sibling? First Watch with obnoxiously loud music and a little harder of an edge. And honestly, First Watch and Morning Fuel are part of the same genre. You know what you're getting. And the genre is over priced diner. As far as the food goes, I got the stuffed French toast with blueberry drizzle, and it was really good. It did its job. Nothing spectacular, but a perfectly good breakfast. Overall, I'd say Morning Fuel is pretty average, but these places are kind of a genre unto themselves, and I can see why people like them. It was also a little cheaper than First Watch, which I like but don't really go to. This would not be a recurring haunt for me by any means, but I think it will be for some people. So if you like Evanescence and nu-metal more than you like the Jonas Brothers and other corny folky music, that's what they're playing at Morning Fuel. If you like black floors and a little less of a rustic vibe, that's what Morning Fuel is about. If you like the product that First Watch serves but don't necessarily like the First Watch vibe, you can go to Morning Fuel. Similar kind of product. Packaged differently. Maybe a little cheaper.
