Stopped inside this Panera while in the area. It was the first time I tried the Strawberry Poppyseed salad (I got it with no meat) and it was fresh and delicious. I would say though that this is not the best Panera I've been to. All the tables were dirty when I was looking for a seat and I had to ask for something to wipe a table down with. With no line, the workers had time to housekeep in the dining room. The crotons on the soup also did not seem toasted, just regular cubed bread. I ordered food from the app today, and let me just say i am extremely disgusted. I ordered the chocolate latte, and let me tell you it doesn't taste like chocolate or anything. It tastes like coffee with some sugar or creamer. It was also room temperature not even hot, and looked nothing like the picture. Next I ordered a breakfast sandwich. The egg looks like it was microwaved and the sausage tastes very uncooked. the cheese looks as if it was also just microwaved on the bread. Also excessively greasy. The free Wifi is limited to 1/2 hour around lunch time even on weekends. Bathrooms are small, wall outlets are sparse, and tables are a bit on the small size. Still, they have a good selection of snacks and food, some of which could probably classify as being more on the healthy side of things. They have a couple vegetarian selections. Sadly, I am taking a star away from this particular location. The last few times I've visited I didn't find the lobby very clean or the service very friendly. But today kind of did me in. I ordered the pick two. My soup container was less than half full. really?? And my sandwich was tore up. No kidding. Tore up. The top piece of bread was broken in half. Stopped here yesterday morning for a quick to-go pastry. The service and the food were fine -- other customers are a completely different matter! There were two order takers. The lady in front of me took FOREVER to place her order -- the other cashier waited on 3 customers while my slow poke was still ordering! I moved to the other cashier because that line was now empty. If I could give negative stars, I would. We haven't been here in quite sometime because quality and missing items on sandwiches was so horrific. We went today and once again, they don't know what ingredients to put in their customers paid for food. Here is a pic of my fontega chicken panini. Well judging by the already two and a half Stars I doubt this is going to make much of an impact. But we walk in and it smelled like something was burnt. We had a cashier that greeted us but then as we start to order she turned her back and was more worried about talking to other employees. Then we walked to find a seat and almost every table in the restaurant was a disgusting filthy mess (tables, chairs, booth seats, and floors. Then my wife went up and got our food and it was missing a scone that I ordered. So I went back up and the little girl was standing there texting and I just stood there and waited for her to acknowledge me. Finally a manager said you have a customer and she turned around and I asked for my scone. Then she said oh it's over there on the glass, like I was supposed to know that they just stick it up there over the bakery counter without ever telling me. Rude. The problem with American businesses these days is that they have no adult supervision. You've got a bunch of little teeny boppers running around and the manager is a little teeny bopper also. Missing your drinks, wrong food, etc. this morning I ordered, in part, a steak, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich. No steak. Dissappointed!! Will not be coming back in the near future. I took my Mom to Panera Bread Cafe in Milford today. We both chose the pick two lunch.This Panera has obviously downsized the portions to VERY SMALL, no exaggeration childlike portions. Just Barely enough Mac-n-chese to cover the bottom of the bowl and the soup was also DOWNSIZED to a very small childlike serving. I would guess about 1/2 cup soup in bowl. I must Say that the soup and Mac-n-cheese tasted Great but I felt like I was Being Cheated,I paid $25.35 for our 2 meals receipt # 203841.I will not be returning to this location. I hope That this does not reflect a Downsize at all locations. We enjoy going to Panera because the food is better for you than fast food restaurants and we feel less guilty about eating out. I often stop by this location when I'm on my way home from work and we need to have a quick dinner. The food is always prepared well. The last couple of times we've dined here I have been disappointed with the cleanliness of the restaurant itself. Full trash cans, dirty tables, dirty floors. TIPS- You must tell them what side item you want (baguette, chips, or apple) or they will just give you a baguette. I don't feel welcome here and probably won't be coming back to this location. The cashier got my order wrong, which happens. The cashier then called over the assistant manager who put in a replacement order. As she was completing the transaction she said "get your food at the counter" as if giving an order. No word of apology, all I felt was condescension and hostility. To top it all off, the original order was for dine in and the assistant manager put in my order for to go!! Perhaps the leadership here is weak and needs to educate and groom the staff. Some of the staff are pretty friendly but others, especially one of the assistant managers there are rude. It's pretty good food and has nice employees. My low rating has to do with the COST! I have eaten here and watched the prices continuously creep up. One time there was a 3-4% price increase for the food items. A while ago they raised the price of a small soda from $1.89 to $2.29 and a large soda from $2.29 to $2.89. Seriously, three bucks for a soda? And they used to offer a cookie for .99 cents if you bought an entree and drink. Now they bumped that up to $1.49(not much of a savings at all). So anyway, today I bought a Pick Two, small ice tea, and a cookie and my bill came out to $16.08. That's it, I'm done! I might buy an occasional coffee and bagel, but no more meals. This location gives the chain a bad name. I travel quite frequently and at most Panera Bread restaurants across the country the customer service is quite good. Again this morning my drive-thru order was not accurate, and I only discovered this after getting back to the office. Not able to eat what was prepared and since some of my order was missing, I had to go back to the restaurant. I approached the counter with a smile, receipt, and my breakfast sandwich that was incorrect. Without any word of welcome, I was told, "We can't take that, you're going to have to throw that away." No offer was made to even look at what was prepared improperly - they did not want to see it. After I explained the issue, the manager and the employee had a quick conversation discussing how they were hoping I would not ask for a refund. All I wanted was what I ordered. After fixing my sandwich correctly, there was no apology, no offer to make things right in the future, no outlook for friendly customer service in the future. My coffee subscription is now canceled, and I wont' be going back to this location. I was a frequent customer of this location at least twice a week. This same scenario has taken place over a dozen times this summer, with the same results and lack of customer service. Thankfully, there a lot of choices here in the area. read more

I am writing about the service and poor management. More than a few times on Sunday mornings I have experienced one person at the registers, when there is a line of people!! Today, this was another time when there was not enough staff at the registers to serve customers in a timely manor. There have been times we just left. We often stop around 9 am heading to church and have been unhappy with the insufficient number of staff to serve customers. We have frequented this Panara morning, noon, and evening since it has been at this location, but on Sunday mornings. more recently, the management must feel there is no need to have enough staff to accommodate the amount of customers. Father's Day. Most bagels gone by 10am. 5 employees in sight. Line from the desk to the door, but only one cashier. The asst. manager is working the bread area, and when people talk to her, she cocks her head sideways, makes a scrunchy face, and ignores them without verbally responding. The manager is making drinks and talking on the phone at the same time. One person making food, and one busboy. That's it. Wait time was 30 minutes. Customers were complaining about most orders. One lady went out of her way before leaving to go over and insultingly say "Awesome customer service" to the asst. manager after waiting forever for her drink. One elderly man got a bagel but no plate, knife, or cream cheese. All I wanted was a dozen bagels. The cashier was stumped when I said I didn't have a Panera card (I do have one, but I didn't have it with me, and I didn't want to hold up the line trying to remember which phone number was attached to it)...it seemed like no one had trained her to ring an order without the card. My favorite is the asiago, and my wife likes the sesame and cinnamon. They had ONE asiago bagel, three cinnamon and three sesame. I took them all, and had to buy a bunch of plain and chocolate chip to round out my 13, even though I didn't want those flavors. When I finally got my bag of bagels, they were partially sliced, and just thrown in the paper bag, with no plastic bag for storage, or to separate the sweet cinnamon ones from the savory ones. When I got home, I had to re-slice and repackage the bagels before I could even eat one and store the rest. I don't plan to go back to this store until the manager can run the place effectively. Some friends of ours work at a nearby Panera, and have said that this Milford store is run so poorly that they can't function, they lose employees quickly, and now they have lost my business. The Milford Panera on state route 28 is the WORST I have ever been too. They never get my order right. I ordered a rapid pick up delivery consisting of a you pick two and a whole sandwich with a cup of chicken noodle soup. The bag says the order was checked. Everything was circled and it looked Like it had been checked. It was checked AND initialed by a CN. When I get home I realized that I never received my cup of soup for the you pick two and my partners EIGHT DOLLAR grilled cheese was burnt and barely edible. On Tuesday October 28th I met a friend for lunch. I don't usually eat at Panera for lunch. I do enjoy their bagels. For lunch I ordered the Grilled Chicken Cesar Salad. The lettuce had no seasoning, the croutons would break your teeth, the salad was very dry, there was very little dressing. The chicken was very spicy. This is not what I know and love about a Cesar salad. I would not order this again. I was very disappointed that I paid $8 for something that I did not even eat a third of. read more
