    bacon mac and cheese

Great place to grab some food and do some work! I haven't been here in a while but I tried their bacon mac and cheese and I loved it! Everything here is great!! The food, the staff, the restaurant were all very good. The only thing I wish is that they had more breakfast options throughout the day. The menu is quite varied and I would love to try more of the food! I came here to grad a bite to eat and work and it was a great place to dine!

Four of us stopped for lunch. I have not been to a Panera in a while and was impressed that they have stepped up their food selections. We all got some form of a hot bowl. All the ingredients were rest and tasty. We had a few special orders and they all came out as requested. We used the self-service kiosk, so our only interaction was with the folks when we picked up our order, and it was all good. There were employees cleaning tables so there were spots readily available.

Pick 2: Napa Chicken Almond Salad & Green Goddess Cobb Salad w/ baguette

I randomly went to this Panera on a Tuesday mid-afternoon. The restaurant was moderately empty and there was only one or two people ahead of me in line. I usually go with the you pick 2 because it's a decent amount of food and I was pretty hungry! I ordered the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Green Goddess salad. With this deal you get an option of chips, apple, or baguette. I chose baguette. The cashier was a pretty nice guy! This Panera has a lot of seating options like most other Paneras. There was a booth with a fireplace next to it, which I don't think I've seen in other Panera locations. Shortly after choosing my table by windows, my food arrived - we love a short wait! Everything tasted yummy just as it should! Although I chose the baguette, I find that the outside usually really tough so I always opt for just pulling out the inside to eat which is pretty soft. Overall I like that this Panera over other locations had a fireplace and was pretty tame for lunch but still had the great Panera quality food and service.

I decided to use the self-serve kiosk because there were 3 chatty guys ahead of me. Panera Bread has it going on with this system! It was easy to navigate and I was able to order my food and drink without waiting. I went to find a seat by the window and had my order delivered to my table with a limited wait. The turkey sausage, egg white and spinach breakfast sandwich was ok. I don't love the bread they use, which is too bad considering they're a bread shop, but I didn't hate it either. I was a little surprised to see the sausage mixed with the egg white though. My preference is to have a sausage patty that is separate. The skim latte also wasn't very good. Which is why they only get 2 stars from me...

My friend and I both got the new Asian Chicken Crunch salad and enjoyed it. Maybe go a few less on the edamame. Nice addition.

The entire restaurant was filthy. Additionally when I went to order the cashier made fun of my speech impediment.

The employee who was there that day was entirely lacking in people skills. Downright rude. Will never eat here again.

It's been a few years since my last review of Crossroads Deli, but my rating remains high. Their…read morematzo ball soup is one of the best versions available in the Twin Cities. Today I tried their Roast Beef on Weck, which is carved roast beef on a type of roll called a Weck (a Kaiser-style roll topped with coarse salt and caraway seeds.). The restaurant was busy, and this is not a trendy place! I'd be surprised if there was anyone in the restaurant who was not of Medicare age (which also describes me; I'm not being ageist, just truthful). This is something that is available for lunch, during the week (not on weekends). Previously, I wanted to order this before. It was at the beginning of the lunch hour, so unfortunately the end pieces were cooked well-done. I asked if they would cut from the center, which is much more rare, but they wouldn't do that. This time, we came later and I could see that the roast beef was gloriously rare, which is what I like. The sandwich was quite enjoyable because it was juicy and flavorful. It comes with a side of cole slaw which is vinegar based (which I liked, but isn't traditional in the Midwest). It's difficult to find good, rare roast been in the Twin Cities, so this was another good find. My wife had the matzo ball soup, which remains high quality. The beef on weck sandwich (with coleslaw) was nearly $20, which is a bit on the expensive side. The service is spotty. It depends upon who is your waitstaff person (I knew it would be slow based on our previous experience with this person).

I have been coming to Crossroads Deli for over 25 years. September 2024, the brothers ( Scott and…read moreStu) sold the business to a corporation which owns approximately 5-6 other restaurants. I immediately started to worry. Unfortunately my worries have slowly " come true" ...and with an extremely upset heart, Crossroads has changed. Scott and Stu had dedication and sheer love of cooking and baking with the BEST of ingredients and exquisite rare perfect use of spices. Their flavors in everything they touched were some of the VERY BEST I have experienced nationally and in my home state of NY where my father taught Biochemistry in the Bronx at Einstein Med School (1955-1980) and where my intense passion for Delicatessen cuisine originated. Coming almost daily to Crossroads truly made my day! I adored EVERYTHING they created. Even shipped a large lemon coconut cake to mom's beloved 90 year old boss at Scarsdale Medical Center 8 years ago! Today: Their rye bread with caraway seeds was identical to Grossinger's. Now almost zero flavor. The broasted chicken if served hot fresh out of the cooker is still excellent. Some of the original spices gone. The lemon coconut cake has zero real lemon flavor just deep yellow coloring, Their pastrami and corned beef also lost 1/3 to 1/2 of their original flavor plus the size of the sandwiches 1/3-1/2 the original size. The new main dishes are almost tasteless. Their original recipes for matzo ball soup, etc are still good - - vary 8-10 rating. They no longer use as much/ perhaps any butter in their coffee cake " breads" which used to be a 10. Many cookies and tiny pastries in the same display case are still good. Compared to many other restaurants today they are now just " an ok". Gone are the days when Crossroads Deli was " TRULY SPECTACULAR "......

It doesn't have a huge deli menu, but it had a bunch of sandwiches on the menu that looked pretty good. You can zoom in on my photo to see the menu. We came for breakfast and there was a nice donut case as well as other breakfast options. We came late so the donut case was pretty picked over which is to be expected. We had a cream filled bismark, a sausage roll, and an Asian coffee. The bismark was the best I have had in a long time. They fill it with your choice of fillings right when you order so it isn't soggy. The dough part of the donut was fresh and light and somehow tastier than anywhere I have been. The custard was pretty standard custard, but also tasted lighter and fresher than I have had before. The sausage roll was basically a hot dog type sausage wrapped in a croissant type dough. There was also an option of cheese and jalapeño. It was good. The Asian coffee was good, as you might guess it was pretty much what other places call Vietnamese coffee. It is in a strip mall so there is strip mall parking. There is a ramp and the store is pretty handicapped accessible. The staff were fast, efficient, and friendly. There was a good amount of seating inside, and a few tables outside.

If you're looking for a table indoors and the main area is packed, head to the back (towards bathrooms) where you'll find two rooms with additional seating which are usually quieter. - I tend to go for sandwiches, which include house made chips. Honestly, when I first went, I wasn't a fan of the chips, but it didn't take long for me to like them. Once while dining in, I found that most of them were just tiny bits. Well when the waiter came to ask how things were, I told/showed him... just as an FYI, not expecting anything. Well, he kindly brought me a bag to replace them. -The staff is mostly kind, with two male waiters/runners being especially nice and helpful. While myself or others are waiting they'll give friendly smiles, see if you need anything in the meantime. I like them! - Although I go mainly for the sandwiches, (my favorite being the Southwest Chicken Panini available in the Fall), I also like the mac and cheese and fries. I used to love the coconut cake, but something about the last one I bought tasted different. The filling and the cake texture... weren't as tasty as I remember.
