Simple sandwich packed with flavor [Minnetonka MN] We have quite a few Panera Bread restaurants in our neighborhood in California so this isn't new to my taste buds. I always get the Roasted Turkey & Avocado BLT so this is what I ordered for lunch on Day #2 of our workshop. Glad to know that they are prepared consistently good. Everything was yummy and fresh and they were generous on the Applewood-smoked bacon and the fresh avocado. The sandwich came with free chips. There is also a salad version of the Turkey & Avocado BLT (fresh veggies, turkey, and bacon crumbles topped with balsamic vinaigrette dressing). I might try that next time. Then the store ran out of the sauce and their substitute was terrible. The man who took our order clearly did not want to work so was grumpy. Four of us stopped for lunch. I have not been to a Panera in a while and was impressed that they have stepped up their food selections. We all got some form of a hot bowl. All the ingredients were rest and tasty. We had a few special orders and they all came out as requested. We used the self-service kiosk, so our only interaction was with the folks when we picked up our order, and it was all good. To start off I have never been a fan of Panera I have always though of it as well "Chick food" my wife and daughter love the place so I end up going too. So My wife and I were shopping and she said she was hungry and "Oh look a Panera " so we went not expecting much they have a new sandwich the chicken cordon blu with Black Forest ham and grilled chicken so I tried it . First its the first sandwich I have had there that has enough meat on it to be tasted and tasted it was ! it was great the chicken hot and juicy the ham was real Black Forest ham not just a name and a black edge on a fantastic baguette I would definitely order and eat again . As for the service it is a fast food but fresh made and the assembly line was fast and efficient and all fresh they took the time to present it nicely not just thrown together I will go back . I randomly went to this Panera on a Tuesday mid-afternoon. The restaurant was moderately empty and there was only one or two people ahead of me in line. I usually go with the you pick 2 because it's a decent amount of food and I was pretty hungry! I ordered the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Green Goddess salad. With this deal you get an option of chips, apple, or baguette. I chose baguette. The cashier was a pretty nice guy! This Panera has a lot of seating options like most other Paneras. There was a booth with a fireplace next to it, which I don't think I've seen in other Panera locations. Shortly after choosing my table by windows, my food arrived - we love a short wait! Everything tasted yummy just as it should! Although I chose the baguette, I find that the outside usually really tough so I always opt for just pulling out the inside to eat which is pretty soft. Overall I like that this Panera over other locations had a fireplace and was pretty tame for lunch but still had the great Panera quality food and service. read more

I decided to use the self-serve kiosk because there were 3 chatty guys ahead of me. Panera Bread has it going on with this system! It was easy to navigate and I was able to order my food and drink without waiting. I went to find a seat by the window and had my order delivered to my table with a limited wait. The turkey sausage, egg white and spinach breakfast sandwich was ok. I don't love the bread they use, which is too bad considering they're a bread shop, but I didn't hate it either. I was a little surprised to see the sausage mixed with the egg white though. My preference is to have a sausage patty that is separate. The skim latte also wasn't very good. Hooray for Panera delivery! I've ordered from this store a couple of times while visiting my grandkids and I've never been disappointed. I like the Spicy Thai Salad with chicken - spicy, crunchy, fresh greens, edamame, grilled chicken - what's not to like? Tonight I ordered the Pick Two and had a half Thai salad with a cup of Black Bean soup. You also get a side, so I chose the delicious baguette. The soup was heavenly, rich and velvety just the way a slow-simmered bean soup should be. My daughter-in-law let me try her mac & cheese, but I thought it was just okay. I prefer a sharper cheddar flavor. My son had the Steak and Arugula sandwich, a lovely and spicy concoction on fresh bread. The steak was tender and nicely cooked. There are so many salads, soups, pastas, and sandwiches to choose from I feel like I could try something different every day. There's a Panera near me as well, so this is definitely going in the rotation. read more

We had visited an insurance company in the morning, and were going to visit another one in the afternoon. In between, we needed to fuel up with some food. This Panera was right in the middle, and its menu in no way whatsoever distinguished it from any other member of its chain, apart from perhaps its staff. Well, let me take that back... there's nothing about that staff that was in the least bit memorable. Not rude or anything, just completely forgettable. As was the food. Nobody got sick as far as I know, and we made it through the afternoon without dying of starvation or falling asleep from a food hangover. Seating for eight was available if not particularly comfortable, and there were restrooms with functioning facilities. If you are in a constant "work at home" mode & looking for a lunch you don't have to cook, don't forget how easy Panera's online ordering & curbside pick-up is! Each order took 10-15 minutes to be ready & was always timely. In the last few weeks I've stopped twice to get the lunch "pick two." What I've ordered: the half spicy Thai salad (5/5), half southwest chili lime ranch salad (5/5), half smokehouse bbq sandwich (2/5), and half Napa almond chicken salad (3/5). I definitely think Panera knocks it out of the park on their salads, but for the sandwich the bbq sandwich was dry & didn't pack in any flavor. The almond chicken salad also was a pretty small portion & seemed to lack sauce. But, like I said their salads are worth coming back for! The food is good and healthy with reasonable prices. I'd like to give it a 4 or 5. Why 2 stars then? I've ordered delivery 3 times recently and each time they forget drinks for my family. I've even called to mention they need to be careful to remember drink orders and today they forgot my drinks again. It surprises me that a place that makes good profit on drinks and features items like smoothies and blended coffee doesn't deliver those items when they are part of the order. read more

Employees held doors for us, helped us with our order, chatted with us and was even there to take our plates! I never see this, and was compelled to write this review because it was such a great experience. It's been a while since I last stepped through these doors but despite the time away my taste buds were still craving the usual combo. So my mind was already made up the minute as I approached the counter. Then it happened. I looked up at the pretty pictures in the menu and saw some new items, even 'hidden' items. Didn't know this place had a hidden menu but I guess not a lot of people do which is why they had to share it on the menu. Despite the other new choices available I stuck with my gut and went with my usual combo (Frontega Chicken Panini w/bbq chicken salad) since it was what I was craving. The place is kept clean, the staff is very friendly and there is always an empty seat next to the fire place waiting to cozy on up next to as you satisfy your hunger. It's also a great spot to go to (free wi-fi) and get some work done while you sip on a drink (non-alcoholic of course) and snack on a pastry. I find it much quieter than a coffee store, since you don't have grinders and all sorts of machines in the background distracting you with the sounds. read more

This is my favorite Panera location. The only thing that could make it better is if they had a drive-thru (which I hear the new Knollwood location will have...) There is always plentiful parking and rarely a long line. My favorite thing about Panera is that they list the calories on the menu, you can make an informed decision. I think I have tried almost everything on the (adult) menu, as well as several bakery items. With their "pick two" combo, there are so many different combinations that you could probably eat here for an entire week without having the same meal. My summer go-to is the Strawberry Poppy seed Salad, it is superb. My winter go-to is the Wild Rice soup. Quick Tips: Always get the french baguette - delicious. Sign up for their rewards card for freebies on your birthday and other discounts for menu items throughout the year. The more you dine, the more rewards you receive. read more

My fiance and I went here for breakfast when we moved here this last weekend. The workers were extremely nice, very helpful and the food was perfect just as I expected. Fast casual restaurants with emphasis on unique food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have been coming to this location for a long time and have never had issue with the service. Breakfast is my main time when there is no rush of people. I usually grab a bagel with cream cheese, but today I asked for a fruit cup. The associate that helped me made sure they had them before simply sell it too me. That alone goes above and beyond what I ask for in customer service. Being as I also work at a small level of customer service myself, I may go easy on those in the industry as well. With that being said, do not pass up this location if you enjoy Panera already, it's a comfortable, warm environment with plenty of friendly faces. About 2 weeks ago after a 12 hour day, I decided the Asian chicken salad from this Panera sounded great. I went in ordered the full salad, lemonade and a cookie to go. I waited and had a good 3-5 minutes to watch the nonsense behind the counter. 3 people at the registers talking to each other laughing and joking with the manager (dude with a pink shirt, sandy blonde hair and glasses), a guy and a girl making the food. The place wasn't busy but everything seemed to be very randomly done. Not the Minnetonka Panera I've known. I shook it off, drove home, pulled out a bowl, dumped the salad in and mixed it up. It seemed so dry. Then I realized, there was no dressing. It was forgotten. I called, asked for the manager and told him what happened. Oh, he was so sorry but he was not a problem solver. I had to ask for a gift certificate, I don't think it was too much to ask for reimbursement for that dinner and another. The manager took my name and address and said he would send it. Well he lied because he didn't send it. So now Mr Manager, you lost me as a customer and I'm on Yelp! telling my story. Shame on you Mr Manager. Shame on you Panera! read more
