    Pick 2 Menu

Love the chocolate croissant from here because it's very chocolate-y and buttery. They also have a pick 2 for a very reasonable price! You basically get to pick any 2 items on the menu I ordered a toasted steak with white cheddar sandwich and a french onion soup! amazing services and very spacious.

So we stopped into Panera for lunch and here we go... They are advertising the new warm grain bowls but don't actually have them. Hmmmm.. ok so then we ordered and they told us they have no bread for a side.. hmmmm , isn't this Panera Bread??? They make their own right on premise??? Other than that, staff we're friendly and very nice. Clean and nice atmosphere. Oh, but you do need a code to use bathrooms.

5 kinds of waffles to choose from

Wow! I did not even recognize this Panera after I walked in. It took a few minutes to realize "yes, this is a Panera". A few minutes later after I digested the new menu, "yes, this is what a Panera is supposed to be like."The additional menu blew me away. Why this effect? I go to Panera in MD, VA, NY, CT (maybe too often but I travel every few days). This is a newer model of Panera open since June creates small batches of stuff, fresher and different things. Yet they have most of the staple items every Panera has. Yes, they take your Panera card here and offer the usual lottery of rewards. There is a signature fire place. Their tables are not very moveable. Lots of brick, tall ceilings, metal accents and wood tables in this decor. Lots of tables and seating for Panera. Looks very different. Even the wifi is different. Login and check it out. They are quieter than that other coffee chain next door. And you will likely find a seat at Panera. Oh the menu? They have 5 kinds of waffles. Not cardboard tasting waffles like most places, but real authentic Belgian waffles (with pearled sugar in the batter). Puts a cronut to shame IMHO. Come in, take it in and taste one.

They lost one star because it is a little pricey. However, the food is delicious and the service is outstanding.

Great food. Pleasant staff. My order was ready quickly even though the store was crowded. Will revisit!

Not really good. The avocado tasted like plastic. You can eat better for cheaper in downtown new haven.

Brittney did an amazing job coordinating everything for us and was so attentive, communicative, and so helpful with curating everything for the day. On the day of our wedding, Deon, Kelsey, and all of the Olives & Oil staff that were working that night were the absolute best. Everyone complimented the food and drinks -- and still are a month later. We are constantly dreaming about some of the menu items we picked (especially the housemade vodka pasta, arancini, and pork belly bites). The atmosphere of the restaurant is so inviting and different than a lot of other restaurants in the area. It was absolutely perfect for our small wedding party. Thank you so much to the whole team for making our day so special and wonderful! We will definitely be back to New Haven and will have to make this restaurant a regular stop when we do.

Pasta was a bit mushy and greasy and not as much flavor as I would've expected. The risotto balls/ sauce were very good. Definitely large portions though! Drinks were very good, and wait staff attentive and friendly. This seemed like a a popular restaurant for student life , with plenty of parking at temple street nearby. Definitely a good date spot.

Lobster bisque was hot though pretty liquid-y. The Brussels sprout salad was by no means a salad. More of a rice cake with Brussels shavings on too but really good. Calamari was okay. Mac and cheese was eh, really liquidy as well. I did really like the crispy mushroom risotto tater tots. They tasted just like tater tots. As we were getting to our last bites and still eating, at least three different staff members within a matter of a minute asked if we're were done and could take our plates away. I would have given this place four stars had we not been bombarded at the end of our dinner. It felt like we were being rushed out even though there were tons of tables and seats still available. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Super quaint from the outside and inside was just as great. Also not busy, couple other table. Sat at the bar and was greeted right away. Asked for a recommendation for wine and was glad to hear they had an Albariño which wasn't on the menu. Ordered the crispy prosciutto scallops for an app and the seared snapper. Two scallops with spinach and too many potatoes for the app. Scallops were cooked perfect and delicious. Snapper may have been slightly over cooked but had a crispy skin and the bock choy, cheese, sauce was amazing. The music was on point as well nice and mellow.
