One of the best restaurants in New Haven! I always love coming to NOA. For appetizers, we got the green beans tempura and the Thai wraps. The Thai wraps are usually very good, but this time they lacked their usual freshness, and it felt like there wasn't enough lettuce wraps. For entrees we ordered the tofu khao soi and the yellow curry with tofu. Both were really good, but the khao soi was the favorite as always. For drinks, we had the Thai iced tea and a virgin lychee margarita. Both were great, but I'm a big fan of a really good Thai iced tea, so that was my favorite. Overall, the ambience here is great and it's always packed with people. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. Even though they were quite busy our food came out quickly. Personally, I much prefer this place over their sister restaurant, September in Bangkok. If you're in new haven give this place a try!

This is my second visit since my first experience was so great. This time, we were a little disappointed. Maybe they were too busy due to graduation weekend? Food portions are small, service tried really hard but was sloppy. The person clearing plates brushed my jacket with a messy plate. He also dropped a few things. Noa Thai wings are still fantastic. Drunken noodles were a miss for us. We love the tiger prawns. But our other dishes were a miss.

I really liked the vibe and aesthetic here. The food and drinks were also very good. I would definitely recommend this for a date night or even if you want to hang out at the bar & just have some good cocktails. Lastly, the food comes out very fast I was very shocked lol. Great service here I just wished they offered more Thai wings in an order

NOA was such a great visit before a concert at College Street Music Hall! We did their happy hour and the cocktails were fantastic, the lychee martini in particular was amazing. We were splitting a bunch of dishes and the servers were very helpful with giving us extra plates to split everything. I am looking forward to visiting again!

This is my favorite Thai restaurant I've been to! I've eaten here multiple times in the past few months, and everything I've tried has been delicious. Definitely recommend the Khao-soi noodle that has a dairy free curry base, with noodles. The pad see-ew is also a favorite, it's bursting with flavor and hits every time. I recommend adding steak to any dish, they cook it to perfection. The drinks are all delicious and they bring them out in the prettiest decor/cups. The coconut water is straight from a coconut as well, they bring it fresh out to you inside a coconut! Love Noa and the staff is always so friendly.

Delicious Thai food. Tastes even better than it looks. The dishes are so well presented. Spin off from September in Bangkok restaurant , also in New Haven. It has a very trendy yet warm setting. Tables beautifully set and comfortable. Attentive and helpful staff ready to cater to you and your gastronomic cravings.

The hostess and servers were warm and friendly and the atmosphere had a chill vibe and good and clean aesthetic. We had the pineapple fried rice with jumbo shrimp, lamb chops and Thai fried wings for an appetizer and all were delicious. The food was served hot and presented well! Will definitely return to try their happy hour specials.

Cute atmosphere. Not very busy at lunch. We enjoyed the Pad Thai and the Tom Kha. The tofu was quite large in the Pad Thai and a knife wasn't offered. The Drunken Noodles were a bit gummy and overcooked but I enjoyed the chicken in it. It was not spicy and I wish it had been.

I had Pad see- ew: Grilled flank steak. Flat rice noodles, sweetened black soy, Chinese broccoli. My friend had Chicken Prik Pao: Sweetened chili paste, red bell pepper, onions, carrots, and a side of jasmine rice. Large portions, really tasty. Enough leftovers for a second meal. Service was good especially the guy hosting. It was fun.

NOA by September in Bangkok is a staple spot I go to and recommend to folks in New Haven. Having tried various specials over the years to always enjoying some of their staples (ex. Pad Thai, pad see ew with beef, crab fried rice), there's so much of this menu to enjoy. It's a great spot to gather friends to share a few dishes and bites while grabbing beautifully crafted and delicious drinks. I also love when my husband takes me here for date night. It was also the perfect spot to bring family from out of town to enjoy happy hour vibes. The things I love the most at NOA are anything with their crispy jumbo shrimp or crispy prawns, the tempura string beans (on happy hour), happy hour wings, noodles of all kinds, and their crab fried rice with large lumps of crab in it.

I came here with friends to celebrate a birthday and catch up with everyone. This was the perfect spot for us, as the interior of this restaurant was fancy and vibey, and the course options were shareable. The drink selections are unique and tasty, and the staff are friendly. The plating of the meals look aesthetic and the portions are nice.

Loved this place! super clean, cozy, and the staff were all so friendly. The food was legit amazing -- the duck with mushroom rice was crazy good, and the calamari was light, crispy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they put love into what they make. Definitely a new favorite spot! Can't wait to come back

Shhh, don't tell anyone!…read more But also tell everyone you know! Let it Be is a chic, cozy little hole in the wall spot on Dixwell which although you can easily miss, you won't want to because it's a legend of a Thai restaurant. AMBIANCE - 8/10 When you walk inside, you're greeted by a familiar friendly smile (? one of the owners) before being seated amongst brightly colorful interior decor. They play relaxing Thai classics and sometimes switch it up with familiar and vibey pop songs. It's a small space, but is never overcrowded, and there's conveniently plenty of parking in the back. FOOD - 9/10 The food here is incredible. I've tried multiple Thai places in and around the New Haven/Hamden area and Let it Be has got them all beat. Not only are the flavors authentic and high quality, but prices are fair and the dishes are well-portioned. Best of all, they're made with so much heart. Every bite has felt like a journey back home to South East Asia. SERVICE - 9/10 The service here has been phenomenal. Our friendly server is welcoming, prompt, and responsive to our needs. When a dish we asked for wasn't available, he took the time to find similar dishes for us. He also takes the time to make friendly conversation and share with us the history of some of the special dishes. Visits here always just feel like a pitstop at a friendly neighbor's. The only thing is that it can take a bit of time for the food to come out, which is natural as the dishes are likely made to order. OVERALL - 9/10 From the Thai staples (pad thai, red and green curries) to the more avant garde (larb kai but in a bánh mì / hoagie style sandwich?! woah!), this place does it all the right way. If you couldn't tell by now, this is my absolute favorite Thai place and I could not recommend it enough. Ally's Recs: Pad Thai (8/10) - cannot go wrong with a classic Pad See Ewe (9/10) - another classic! tastes great with a squeeze of lime Let it Be Thai Curry (9/10) - delicious house curry; they combo the curries well to create a creamy sweet and savory mixture that always leaves you wanting more Thai Tea (8/10) - if you're down for a treat, the condensed milk hits every time! Longan Juice / Tea (7/10) - refreshing and comes with a bunch of juicy longans on top. such a unique offering!

Hopefully they're doing a big takeout business because we were the only ones inside for dinner. Granted it was 8:30pm, but they are open until midnight. They were accommodating by turning the heat up on this chilly night. They also put on current Thai music for us after we asked about the American music being played. They offered my wife a syrupy lychee drink on the house to take care of the extra heat that she wasn't expecting. They put a bit of a different spin on their version of some popular dishes so don't be mad if it's not what you get at other Thai restaurants. Check out our pics. It was all excellent!

What was not good was the notable discrepancy in price on the website versus the actual prices. So, this review is a PSA because Thai Spice really needs to rectify this immediately and get all of its sites updated. At the time of our order two weeks ago (and at the time that I am writing this review), the website https://thaispiceauthentic.com/ and the PDF menu hyperlink on that website (and the Order Now hyperlinks on the site) all reflect outdated prices. If you access the business via the https://www.yumdthaicuisine.com/ site (immediately confusing because this does not appear to be the current restaurant name, and the sign outside the restaurant says Thai Spice) or if you Google the restaurant and access the Toast site to order, you will get the current, actual prices. But these are way too many variables for a customer to reasonably navigate or to know what is accurate. We ordered the following: - Thai Sampler - We expected to pay $14.96/99 (two prices, one on the PDF and one via the Order Now link); the actual current price is an astounding $22.50 ($15 was a good deal, we thought; $22.50 is not--not for what you get) - Chicken Pad Thai - We expected to pay $13.96/99; the actual price is $14.95 - Yellow Curry - $13.96/99; actual price, $14.95 - Sticky Rice - $3.00; actual price, $4.00 A difference of over $10. Not great.
