One time, the Ancient Grains Arugala Salad was missing the chicken. Sadly, didn't catch it until I got home. Today, my takeout order came up and I watched the girl check the receipt to confirm it was correct while never even looking in the bag. Sure enough, I was missing a cup of soup that was marked off as confirmed. Also the soda dispenser was leaking out more around the spicket than through it. Guess I'll give up on Panera or drive much further. It's a shame because I do like the food.... By the way, I only use the kiosks now, but they are often down. Old Review: Epic fail when clientele walk in and stand in line only to walk back out. Who has trained the cash register personnel to take an order and then disappear with someone still standing in line to put in an order? Left waiting, without a word from the cashier, I stood there patiently long enough to listen to the employees having a good time engaged in conversation and laughing loudly. I could be seen by them as I remained standing at the register. Finally walked out when it was truly evident that no one "working" at the establishment cared. Great location and all the bells and whistles. They have the self-service kiosks and delivery directly to your table. I love love that. Typical Panera in terms of food and options. There were a few issues that we ran into at this Panera. We ordered sandwiches at the kiosk and requested them on croissants because we were with my grandparents who have a hard time chewing the bagels offered. After we ordered, the food manager came out and apologized because they didn't have any croissants. We came at 1015 in the morning, so I thought this was slightly ridiculous, but she was very accommodating and offered different suggestions instead. Secondly, my family and I have been to this Panera frequently after church on a Sunday, and their coffee station is almost always missing something. One time we came and all their coffee pots were empty. This time, their half and half was empty, and their sugar was empty. It's a bit of an issue when it's Sunday during prime churchgoing time, and your coffee is out. The staff is never rude when we point it out, and they promptly fix the issue. read more

I'm not too big on Panera Bread at all, except for the bagels (specifically the Cinnamon Toast bagel...nothing but the truth). The wife talked me into going here for lunch, so I decided to try it. I was not impressed. I ordered the take 2 turkey sandwich and mac & cheese. The turkey sandwich was dry and and wasn't very filling. The mac and cheese was pretty good, but something was missing. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was a little off. The review is a high 3 because the customer service was wonderful. It didn't take long to get the food, and they brought it to the table without the little buzzer going off. But unless it's for the bagels, I won't be back. read more

Sorry folks- not a fan. Maybe because I wasn't raised on Panera? We didn't really have it in So Cal or Hawaii so the charm is lost on me. I make better soup and sandwiches at home. I love Panera Bread when I have meetings in the evening because I can get a quick bite to eat without blowing my healthy eating. I decided to try the new Watermelon Feta salad and it was so good! Too bad it's only seasonal, but it was refreshing and light. I got carried away and got the Watermelon Strawberry Lemonade which is a frozen drink, and it was very good as well. Just went here last week for a business lunch with a few of my co-workers. It was during lunch time so the place was actually packed, in fact the line was almost out the door. I must say I was impressed with how fast they moved us through, we were probably up at the register within about five minutes. I ordered the half sandwich/half salad meal and tried out the new chicken Cuban with a Greek salad. The chicken Cuban was pretty good; it had pressed bread, ham, chicken, a spicy mayo sauce, pickles and cheese. Very good flavor overall. I have had their Greek salad before and it is one of my favorite things to get there; fresh lettuce, onions, olives, and sprinkled with feta cheese! I was impressed with the portions because while they only gave me half a sandwich the salad portion was pretty huge. I was definitely full after my meal, but didn't have the heavy/sleepy feeling. read more

Had a wonderful experience at this location! I never write reviews but I am writing one before even driving home right now. Not only was I greeted when I came in, the girl at the register was extremely sweet and helped to direct me with the Panera rewards card sign-up. She was personable and very friendly. When I went to grab my food (mine was to-go) the gentleman working behind the counter was so outgoing and FAST! He was very nice as well and overall ended my experience on great terms. Going to hold off on a final review until the next time I visit, but today was pretty unfortunate. Three people behind the counter and took a little while to be acknowledged... ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a medium coffee. After I paid, I turned to fill my coffee and out of the four coffee carafes, only decaf had any in it and it's lukewarm. Was told more was on the way in just a minute... 10 minutes later, still no coffee except the decaf. Three people waiting for it now. I took my number and sat and it took almost 10 minutes for my bagel to arrive... it was barely warm, which is not surprising considering the wait time and the fact that I heard them shouting for a "table runner" for five of those minutes... and they forgot my cream cheese. Haha. They went and grabbed it, but it made me SMH. The most disappointing part - even more than lukewarm decaf - was that my bagel tasted like it had been microwaved, not toasted (haven't ever had his happen at a Panera before, so weird)... it's barely warm, overly-chewy outside, and not "toasty" at all, but spongy on the inside. Many may think this is not a big deal and I'm sure most places do this but, I bought a muffins and it rolled off of my plate while I was sitting down. I didn't even notice until I settled in. Even worse, I had stepped on it trying to find it. It was the last pumpkin muffin so I was really irritated. I went to the front fully expecting to pay for another one but the manager just asked me what I wanted and handed it to me. I even asked, " don't I need to pay for it?" Their delivery sucks. I have tried on several occasions and it is always terrible! They never deliver when they say they will (always late). Not just a little but by 10-20 minutes. They never answer their phones so you can't even talk to someone about it . They always mess up the order or give you a LOT less food then they should have. I just love this panera bread location. Unlike the rest of military highway, it doesn't seem as chaotic but then again I do the smart thing and order online for rapid pick-up. If you don't know what this is, it's where you make your online order or call in and once you arrive the order is ready and on a shelf where you literally just walk past the line and pick it up then on your way. Payment is done online or on the phone so there is nobody to speak to when you arrive and it makes for a fast lunch hour pick up. I got around to making it back to the carb and butter franchise that's so popular. My food was good this time. I stuck with the broccoli and cheese soup, always a winner. I also tried the turkey and cranberry flatbread. I definitely recommend ordering from the kiosks, because i was able to include lots of tasty extras on my flatbread that I wouldn't normally have gotten if I ordered from the cashier. Yah, I like Panera because I'm a carb addict! They have fantastic sandwiches and soups, but my favorites are the pastries. You do have to get there early in order to get your pick. Try the apple and/or cherry pastries! The chocolate chip cookie is to die for. It's soft, gooey and sweet. How perfect to gain 30 lbs! This isn't my favorite location. The people there didn't even know their own hours. I much prefer the location in Ghent. The people there are friendly and knowledgeable! read more

We are here every weekend. If you dine in after 10 it's crazy. Most likely your order will be messed up. Why can't the chefs read the orders correctly from printouts or screens? It takes longer to remake something could have been avoided with mistakes at first time. Just spend a little extra time or eyes. When you are paying something extra to be added to a sandwich, please pay attention that's where the mess up is. They seem to be understaffed. The tables are usually with crumbs or napkins under. If this location is not near by my house, then I wouldn't stop by because of the repeated mistakes they make. Sometimes it's so time consuming and frustrating. read more

Keeping in true Panera fashion this particular site has the usual offering of snacks, carbs and lemonade.. quite satisfying if you ask me.. the WiFi is always on and the tables (to my knowledge/experience) are always cleaned one customer to the next.. It's got one star and quite frankly it deserves it. This Panera is quite different. Considering that they have the same menu and are supposed to be making the same food, it's really astounding to see how dissimilar they are: it's the difference between day and night. It's amazing what a difference good customer service makes. The building, just built, is considerably cleaner and larger. The management doesn't seem to be out to get the customer; rather they seem to be out to get the customer to come back again. Normally this place is great but the last few days the food I received has looked like a child prepared it. I would get a grill cheese for my son and it would be a double stack with of the slices just stuck to the plate on the side. okay my first experience with this establishment was mediocre which is NOT like Panera! usually Panera Bread is amazing and fresh and just all around great!! I ordered a half of a chicken Panini and a cup of chicken and wild rice soup. Before I even opened the Panini box I saw a fruit fly just flying around my sandwich inside the box! Whatever. BUT to my horror the Panini was burnt to a crisp. the cheese had ran off he sandwich and a hard crispy dark blob on the bottom side of the bread. fruit fly okay but burnt cheese?! Oh hellll nah! so I picked if off the bread and tried to eat around it... nope couldn't do it... I tried. I tried to make this terrible sandwich work but it was not edible. So I opened the cup of soup up and it was absolutely amazing. just all around good soup. the rice was perfect the temp was good.. happy with the soup.. not happy that at the end of the day it was a 9$ cup of soup.. I emailed the corporate office... I got a response from the Panera Bread Military Highway Manager he gave me a number to call and contact him and fix the issue so I did and he never returned my call after I called numerous times.... whatever I got better sh*t to worry about.. life goes on... so I got lunch again today from Panera at the same location... I wanted to give them one more shot.... what a bad idea.... I got a half of greek salad and a cup of soup with an apple.... the greek salad was alright... they were totally stingy with the salad... there was like MAYBE a half of cup of lettuce, a million little red onion rings and some mushy nasty tomatoes.... so I picked around the tomatoes..... I got the chicken and wild rice soup again because it was so heavenly the last time.... this time... it was just a nasty mushy mess.. the rice was just mush.. it was so terrible.. salt and pepper couldn't fix it.. I felt like I was eating baby food. it was so so so bad! I will no longer ever go to this Panera ever again.. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt.. no more... this establishment is TERRIBLE. read more

I placed an online catering order for 6/18/2019 for delivery from the Janaf location in Norfolk, VA. Order # 11096577 for a dinner meeting. The order was delivered. When I was taking it out of the bags, there were no serving utensils, no eating utensils, napkins, baguettes, or ice bucket. I called the Janaf location and was told they would send someone back out. No one came. I had to run to a service station and buy this stuff except the baguettes. I called back on 6/19/2019 and was told they were really sorry that a bag was left on the counter and told me a manager by the name of Melanie would call me back at 2:30. It is almost 3:30 pm. I called the store and was routed to the queue for an associate or manager. No one came on except a recording that asked me to enter my remote code. We paid almost $312.00 including a tip for this sub par service. I really do expect a call back and some type of refund generated or gift card or future use at another store. read more
