Stopped by for a breakfast sandwich this morning. My favorite is the steak and egg bagel. It normally comes on poppyseed, but I chose the asiago cheese bagel. (Poppy seeds get caught in my teeth.) today I got double beef. Yummy. I enjoy fresh baked foods so I highly recommend these stores. I have never had a bad experience. What I like is that you can make your choice on how your sandwiches are made. And while their coffee is not Starbucks, it is usually hotter. What a shame! Gotta try the turkey sandwich for lunch with a pickle and chips. If you've never tried Panera's, indulge. read more

I am absolutely disgusted by this establishment. I clearly asked for a steak and white cheddar sandwich with NO PICKLED ONIONS! And what do the workers do they give me pickled onions. The bread was not fresh from what I could see it was most likely a day old, which doesn't follow their standard of fresh bread made to every day. The steak was not quality meat I almost gagged trying to swallow what I thought was leather. A peer of mine that I was consulting with ordered a soup with noodles and vegetables, the vegetables tasted like cardboard as well as with the noodles. i ordered 2 large mac and cheeses and when i got mine it was ice cold. i brought it back to the window and they told me to microwave it, and that there was a microwave under the coffee bar. i expect my food to be warm after paying for it, i'm not paying to cook it myself. read more

There was a chunk of PLASTIC-WARE in my sandwich!!!! I am a rewards member and go to Panera frequently. I ordered some lunch from them and also got a sandwich for dinner later. When I finally went to eat my sandwich, I bit down into a chunk of PLASTIC-WARE. It scraped the roof of my mouth and I still have a RAW spot after 2 days. I attempt to call them that night to speak to a manager and got disconnected 4 TIMES, finally I had to pretended to place an order to even talk to a REAL person. They apologized, asked for my name and number for their general manager Katie to call me the next day. SHE NEVER DID! They also gave me an e-mail to send pictures of the sandwich and plastic-ware but the e-mail they gave me never went through!! I have always loved Panera but this experience with their customer service has left me questioning if I'll eat there again. I have never felt so ignored, especially since someone could have gotten really HURT by their mistake! read more

This is a great alternative to fast food. You can get some great sandwiches on fresh baked bread, bagels, or pannini. And some great homemade pastries and baked goodies (the lemon or raspberry scones are outstanding). And a winter favorite of mine are their home made soups served in a fresh bread bowl. And the coffee here is always fresh and very tasty. If you go during the lunch rush, expect to wait a bit, due to the fact everything is made-to-order. But the prices here are a little bit on the pricey side, but the food is well worth it. read more

They had at least 6 people getting paid and all gave the impression that they were unconcerned about making the customer feel appreciated. Had to go back in because they forgot my side! I like Panera, but this one is hit or miss. I work a few blocks away so I end up grabbing lunch here often. I always get the same thing.. it's never consistent. Sometimes they only make half of my sandwich and I have to wait for the other half.. they put things on it that I ask to be left off, or they leave those things off, and other things I wanted left on and my sandwich ends up being plain. They're usually out of the bagels I like, and I have to get something else. And the people taking the orders seem like you're bothering them. However, those in the kitchen are nice and accommodating when I need a larger bag or extra sauce, etc. read more

A family favorite due to the service and location. Once I had an incomplete salad (no grilled chicken) with a carry out order. The manager was quick to respond. Since then, the orders are never missing items and the service is great. A friendly staff will greet you at the register. This location is spacious and includes out door seating as well. Went to Panera Bread on 150th LaGrange for the first time. Ordered salad & flat bread pizza. The flat bread pizza was not cooked all the way. The cheese was melted but the crust was not cooked or browned, it didn't even smell good. Gross. There was a chunk of bread that was tossed in the bag with the salad by a worker without gloves on! Why isn't the piece of bread in a wrapper or tissue? And touching the bread with bare hands and no gloves is not okay! While waiting in the drive up for 25 minutes I also noticed a male worker with long kinky hair on top without a hair net taking the temperature of the soups. His hair was over his face and going in the soups! I brought this to the managers attention, but the worker just shrugged it off. Gross and unsanitary. Glad I didn't order the soup. Terrible food and after what I saw through the window, I will never go back to Panera again. I spent $33 on food that was garbage. What a mistake. I could have gone anywhere on LaGrange Ave for food. Last week I was coming down with a cold and I wanted soup. Used the drive through to order the chicken soba noodle soup. There were 3 cars ahead of me so I knew I was going to have to wait. When I got to the speaker to order, an employee immediately apologized for the wait. When I arrived at the window to pick up my order, the employee again was pleasant and thanked me for my patience. My soup was delicious as always and just what I needed. This is a great Panera location and I will be back. read more

While a lady 5 minutes after me ordered a very large order and received it 5 minutes before I did. Not happy with quality of bread. Bought 2 loaves 2 different weeks of sourdough bread. When got home both loaves had holes thru out. Went back yesterday to try again and after I had girld check 2 loaves with same holes and said forget it and left. I will buy my homemade bread at Orland Park Bakery. read more

My mom and I came to this Panera for some bread bowls. Cashier told us they don't have bread bowls-or sell sourdough at all. While we were ordering, the staff behind the counter, which was all high schoolers, were screaming and yelling to each other from across the kitchen. Very unprofessional. Cashier also told my mom she could not do a grain bowl with a Pick 2, yet there was an option to do a grain bowl with a Pick 2 for an additional charge. No up selling at all. We were also told they had no tomatoes, or any sort of bread that any of the classic sandwiches came on. Do you have anything at all? The cashier did not tell us any substitutions we could do, or any items that were available. We finished ordering and waited on our food as we ordered it to-go. Then the high school student who made our food rudely threw our bag which was FULL of soups and sandwiches onto the counter. After we took our food there was no "have a good day" or anything. Panera food is always good. Today, at this restaurant my elderly mother fell outside. We brought her in out of the cold, 5 paramedics were there, other patrons came to help her, but not a soul that worked in the restaurant asked how she was or if they could help. I have been going to this location 3 to 4 times a week in the AM (since 2007) for coffee and a bagel. Over the last couple of months I noticed that the coffee flavors have a wierd after taste.Someone told me that they decided to change to all natural beans. I hate the new flavor of hazelnut and light roast. Now I go once a week only because I like the selection and taste of their bagels and muffins. I like McDonalds and Dunkins coffee better. read more
