We've tried this place several times, and every time has been bad... consistently forgetting items, poorly portioning soups. We both got the same soup today and mine had very little broth while my fiancé's was almost all broth.... We thought maybe things would get better after they moved across the street, but they got worse... not sure how, but they did. Wouldn't recommend supporting this particular location. read more

We were in the drive through line for 30 minutes before we could order our food. Then they had us wait outside by pick up. We were out there for 25 minutes. I went in and told the manager we wanted a refund . Our food still wasn't ready. We were only ordering two sandwiches and two soups. First time eating at Panera Bread. I've been inside a few Panera's around different locations but never had the desire to eat there. I guess I was waiting for Food Babe, Varni Hari, to clean the place up, as she said she would and she did. My sister was coming to my area and asked me to join her for lunch & a movie and she mentioned Panera Bread at this location. We were there around 11:30 a.m. and it was starting to get a little crowded as we stood in line to place our order. I found this location to be clean and tidy including the ladies' room. I had the Greek Quinoa Salad without the Quinoa, a cup of Autumn Squash, an apple, and hot tea. My sister ordered BLT Roasted Turkey, and a bowl of Autumn Squash, with Iced tea. We had a total of four apples when we received our meals. The food was fresh and delicious. However, our meal totaled $44.62 with just soup, salad, a sandwich, and two small drinks. I thought that was a bit steep for the amount of food we had. However, we were eating clean, just the way I like to eat. The lady that cleaned the tables had walked passed us a few times and we locked our eyes each time but she never removed our stacked bowls from the table, as she did with other people sitting at their tables. It is impossible to get in and out of the parking lot. It is a brand new building and inside is dirty and walls are banged up already. When you walk in, you order yourself, UT it wlasks you for a tip. What! They had 9 people working but it took 20 mins to get a half soup and half salad. Those 2 items cost me $14. Nuts, I understand inflation but that's still too much for Panera. The staff looked exhausted, and frustrated. They could have moved the girl sweating the floor with her flip flops and habding people their bags to the back to help or at least walk around the sitting area and collect dishes. Manager clearly had nothing to do as she stood there and chatted up her employees who clearly can't read How hard is it to put the correct soup and size in a bag??? It's not rocket science. And then I get home and see my order is wrong. I tried to call 5 times and no one answered. The manager should be fired. There was barely anyone in the restaurant. How do you Al screw this up. Went in last night to pick up a fairly large order. When I got home half of one was missing so I called. The manager said I could come in and get it remade and to give them my name. Went in today and they said they do not do that. I told them that I spoke with someone and they said they couldn't remake my food and gave me a coupon for my next visit. Person at the counter was not helpful and annoyed at me asking questions because the manager had told me ti do this. I will be redeeming my coupon and not coming back to this location. Just sad. Absolute waste of time. I order through the app and I wanted to customize my signature take sandwich but then I thought to myself that I shouldn't even bother because they would not make it customized anyway. Every time I order online something customized they always get it wrong. That is not even my problem, what happened was I ordered a french baguette with my order, I receive everything but the french baguette. Now, it was the full size, and was in fact paid for. I realized this and called Panera, a lady answered the phone and already had a disinterested tone, but tells me to call door dash so they can deliver my french baguette that was missing. I call them and I get put on hold a few times and keep on getting transferred, it lasts about half an hour(a little longer) just for them to say that Panera is not responding the phone call so they cannot be notified to remake the order(the baguette), they apologize but are very kind and understanding unlike the lady who picked up the phone from Panera. She sounded rude and uncaring at all. On my receipt, it had a signature of the person that checked for the accuracy of my order but the writing is too messy for me to state who it was. Not only did I not get a refund but I couldn't have it delivered to my house, waste of time and money. I'm disappointed because this occurs so much, I would not be writing this review if it was a one time thing. Please, work on the accuracy of your orders. Very rude staff. Pretty dirty for a "brand new" facility. The food was subpar to other paneras I've been to. I'd recommend staying away and trying one of the multiple other options in the area. I have been an avid Panera customer forever!! I love Panera. This was my first trip to this one and I'll never ever be back. The place was empty, now I know why. We stood at the counter for 7 minutes and waited to be helped. That wasn't the bad part. The woman making our order was obviously a very lazy employee. There were no order ahead of us and it took her so long to make food for 2 people. She was talking to other employees, laughing and using one had to put our order together. I made a Rapid Pick Up Order and chose the wrong location when I arrived to pick it up and realized my mistake and that I just didn't have the time to drive 10 minute down the road and back I asked the staff if it was at all possible to transfer the order. The manager got it all done for me (cancelling the order at the other location) and making me a new one quickly. I also spotted a blueberry muffin I couldn't not have and when I went to buy it they gave it to me. Thank you for the special treatment it really made the rest of my day. HA HA! Joseph! You're review was hilarious. I know how you feel, generally I just grab a paper, sit back, and wait for someone to give me a shove forward. I'm only kind of kidding. I try to go on off hours so I'm not dealing with a crowd of people vs a line. I like the general layout. It feels more intimate than most. It's also clean and always buzzing with a good amount of people. Luckily I've never encountered a huge crowd, but again, I try to make that happen. I go here on quick breaks I can take because I work across the street. The service is pretty quick and the employees are nice. I still get so excited about my Panera card. I think it is hilarious what I hear people rejecting the offer to sign up for one. SUCKERS TAKE THE WALK-you want this card. I've gotten two free smoothie/frozen coffee drinks and have other freebies on the way. I generally stick to a bagel when I go here, again, I'm on a quick schedule. I'm dying to get over there to try the new steak items they have. I also really hope that they bring back their tomato/mozzarella salad back in the summer. This is great alternative to fast food, as Michelle S. said. Going here for a sandwich or bowl of soup instead of McDonalds would be a great idea. My favorite order would have to be a Strawberry smoothie and chicken noodle soup bread bowl. The bread bowl is cooked nicely, very rich in taste, and leaves you wanting more. This would be the dish I suggest to any newcomer. Their smoothies are fairly fresh, I find them to be not as good as Jamba Juice's smoothies, but for the sake of location and atmosphere, I'll let that go. They are, however, better than most smoothies in the area. It wouldn't be fair to compare them to a cafe that specializes in smoothies. Give them a shot, they aren't too bad at all. Now, the food may be good, and the atmosphere may be friendly, but one thing takes the cake for me, and that is the free Wi-Fi they offer. As a college student, I find this particularly helpful, seeing how I am constantly e-mailing professors about what we are studying in class. read more

Behind these people in line? In front of a Panera employee working at a register? no...no...no... About 20' from the registers in the entrance way vicinity seems to work for me sometimes. Often people will be meandering past me though and get serviced first somehow, by approaching a register employee at the seemingly opportune time (I can never seem to get this timing right). Oh, over there... and over there... and here let me take about 11 steps towards the bread counter to see what-ah kind-ah bread selections I can pick for my for my sandwich. Um, do you have white bread? Italian? oh... how about rye? No, um... let's see... alright, I'll take 7-grain. Do you have any soup? duh, ohh... soup's are listed over there, on the fireplace. Also, the dinning area is pretty well staffed and this is a good thing. I've been often asked if my tray can be removed of the table while I'm still eatings. I don't really get why they ask, cause I'm gonna need it to haul my soup bowl, silverware, and the slightly smaller tray that my sandwich & pickle was served on over to the dumper . Just minutes from the house, I drove over today to take advantage of the Cauliflower cheese soup. Upon making my order, the staff was clueless of the item that I wanted to order. The night before I'd receive an advertisement(I'm a "My Panera" card member) selling me on this dish. I knew that I needed to try it. No of the staff knew of this dish. I was told that I couldn't have received an ad from Panera regarding this dish. I had to wipe out the trusty iPhone and show them the ad that I received. At that point I was then informed that it was only being tried at test stores....mind you, just seconds earlier this same manager stated that no such dish exists on the menu. You can imagine my disappointment. No other menu suggestions were provided and the number given me to contact corporate about the ad did not lead me to the corporate offices. Did I go overboard? Maybe. But its my money and my time and the advertisement stated that the dish is part of the September menu...which ultimately led me into their. The ad wooed me in. Not only did Panera not have the product, but Panera had never heard of it...except that at the last minute, the manager changed his story. The food here is typically decent...typical Panera...the staff are usually kind. The store is not the cleanest and usually tends to be unkempt. read more

I often pass this Panera by for the one on Harlem & 159th but this one time in bad weather I stopped for soup. I said a large - I got a group size for $17 - I just paid and left figuring I would have soup and bread for a couple more meals so I just paid and went home. Strike 1. As I was leaving the register the young lady mentioned she was feeling really crabby today (yep, you were) ... Strike 2 (I don't care about your day or mood, all I care about is getting good service. You don't like your job find another). Get home and the New England Clam Chowder is practically broth. Gone are any of the goodies you would expect in a Chowder - what I got was a few lonely clams swimming in a pool of cream with the occasional potato cube floating by like an adrift life raft.
